Its an easy thing for modders:

When eating fruits/vegetables, you could get some seeds related to what you have eaten.
This way you wouldnt run out of seeds, and you could recycle your harvested stuff

It's so easy collecting seeds from your plants in many cases, I really hope they'll add it.

You can collect seeds from your plant, just not from what you eat...

 

But it's a good suggestion..

Seems like the kind of thing that should be a checkbox if its added to the main-game. If it's always on then eating fruit would just mean your inventory getting filled up with seeds and having to remove them constantly.

Seed pouch? Seriously, seeds don't take up much space. They shouldn't be crowding our inventories at all.

I think you have to manually remove them rather than automagically get them when you eat.

I usually eat apples all the way along with the seeds..
