amcoops Posted February 8, 2015 Share Posted February 8, 2015 After having a break from the game I've started a new server, as I do upon new updates. It's not a public server, it's running on my home network and people will join locally on the same network. For some reason it won't let me connect to the server, as it's loading the map it errors and prompts me to quit. I've attached the file it asked me to look at. There was a bit that jumped out at me... Failed to initialize device Gaming Mouse because of: java.io.IOException: Failed to acquire device (8007001e)------------------------------------------------ Controller setup - use this info to -- edit joypad.ini in save directory I've recently bought a new gaming mouse as my last one broke, could this be what's causing the error? Can you go to %username%\zomboid\multiplayer and find the save data for your character (it should be username_ip). Delete this folder; the map info will be re-acquried from the server, and you'll have to create a new player, but chances are it's just older files interfering.
