Hydrocraft Mod

Hi, this is my first intervention so I want to start by thanking Hydromancerx for this great mod. I want to share the problems with which I have found myself, I built a rabbit hutch, I put a couple of rabbits (male and female) and that's all I could do, I can not feed them or take them out of the hutch, eventually they died of hunger, grab the rabbit hutch and I let go again the bodies disappeared. So for now I'm not going to submit another rabbit to such an experience.

Is it possible to still use the forge in the same way if I were to make it into a solid placed object or would it not work since it currently considered a item, is this possible. I dont like the way some objects can be walked through but I have made some of my own custom placeables for my map, so if its doable ill consider doing this for the mod

Note this was more to get out the patch for the waterpipes. I have not had time to look over the other stuff. The rest of the stuff here was done months ago before I got busty with RL stuff.

All of the benches, kilns, mines, etc. etc. are all items you can pick up and drop instead of Furniture. 

 

A lot of the items in the game were added before the Furniture Update.  When are they going to be converted to Furniture? Why isn't this a priority? You can't rotate dropped items! You clip through them! For large dropped items, you can't even find (or see) the tile it's sitting on, AND zombies can sneak up on you and you can't see them!

 

IMO, with the sole exception of bug fixing, this should be the utmost priority of "Hydro Craft". I mean, there is something really wrong about walking through a deep well or moving like Jesus over a concrete dug pond.

 

I beg of you to fix this.

Also, I'm experiencing an error alert every time I right-click the ground, a window, a bed, or any artificial source of water (like a sink).

IsoObjects (the things that make other things in-game more than just a dropped item sprite) have always been creatable by modders, but Hydro hasn't made use of that outside of some problematic pillars (the issues with them can be solved by using a texture pack).

If you're interested in modding, I'd recommend making your own mod to do this and seeing if Hydro will incorporate it.

Looks like solar generators are broken again after the most recent IWBUMS update. Same issues as before:

 

1. Solar gen is on/connected freezer has power. Exit game. Reenter game. Solar gen on/connected but freezer has no power.

2. Solar gen is on/connected freezer has power. Leave the area. Run back to area. Solar gen on/connected but freezer has no power.

Error with waterpipe still exists. Every time I press right mouse button then the same error appears. Here is from the log:

hi everybody!!

 

does someone know why I can't craft mine cart, rocket launcher and many others...

as you can see on the picture, I've got all items required but "craft one" or "craft all" is not clickable.

 

I don't really understand......

I looked at the code for this:

Looks like you need level 2 mechanics. He probably forgot to add the requirement to the display.

Guessing other recipes require certain mechanic levels as well...sigh.

the object is called "MetalWelding" and not "Mechanics". the line become "SkillRequired:MetalWelding=2" and it works again!!

maybe is it an upgrade after 38.30, I don't know.

 

So, for them who still play build 38.30 and who have the same problem, you have to change it in 10 files. those files are located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\498441420\mods\Hydrocraft\media\scripts.

 

there are 10 files to modify:

I think  you mean you're at level 5 metalworking. Cars and mechanics skill is only for builds 39 and higher.

Ah I see the problem, HC was updated to support cars/mechanics skills so he changed some recipes' requirements to having mechanics skills. Unfortunately that seems to break games with builds 38.x and below which used metalworking skill instead.

But there is no option to plant anything, so farming doesn't work at all with this mod. I dug up some ground, but when I click on the spot on the ground, there is missing option to sow seeds. I disabled Hydrocraft and it works again.

It's a know issue on the IWBUMS version.  It'll get fixed...when it gets fixed.

For the record Hydrocraft is and has been a mod for the Stable Build aka not IWBUMS. So once the weather and fog stuff goes there and if it is still causing an issue then it will be fixed. Its too hard to keep up with IWBUMS since its constantly being updated. Also I don't want to break games for the stable branch people if fixing it for IWBUMS causes that.

Craft -> Terrain -> Tin Vein, Iron Vein, Silver Vein etc.. (all recipes in the section)

Does this mean that all these recipes are not working at the moment?
And all kinds of ore cannot be obtained? (Tin, Iron, Silver etc)
A looong search for information gave no results ... where there is no information about it.

 

P.S. I just built the initial mine, ore mined randomly with a chance for any of the ores?

I'm having a slight problem with the mod, so perhaps someone here could assist.

 

I understand when using the smelter, there is a chance of burning yourself. I also understand that wearing certain clothing can help prevent this. When I wear a firefighter jacket, oven mitts, and a welding mask, I still find myself being burned very often. Is this supposed to happen, or is there something else I don't know going on here?
