SWEAT I love my little Ruger Security Six so having the ability to use a speed reloader is  -= ! A W E S O M E ! =- and thank you for adding Ammo Cans it is greatly appreciated (side note: I have just finished looting E V E R Y gun spawn I can find, muldrugh farm, both police stations, gun store, hunting lodge and the gun store so... new game it is. OH and the shooting range)

I did just raid the Muldraugh Police Station, and holy crap... I may have the spawns too high...Or maybe they should be prolific at the police station...

 

EDIT: Everyone,

 

I released a hotfix (You can use the previous link as I overwrote it but the speedloaders were not spawning correctly. They should be now.

I have discovered something and I'm not sure if it is a bug or not. I have mostly been using the semi auto weapons (and the M249) but tonight I have been messing around with the L682 (or something like that) and the accuracy is ridiculously bad, AND I HAVE MAX AIMING AND RELOADING. I haven't tried any other automatic guns but I read something similar to this about the P90, now I understand automatic weapons are in-accurate compared to semi auto weapons but when you empty a whole clip in a horde of 30 and you don't hit ANY, well that's worthy of a BS shout out don't you think? Is this something you can look into? PLZ and THX.

I have discovered something and I'm not sure if it is a bug or not. I'll look into it, I know I was doing alright with the MP5, and the Beretta 92FS. I cleared out about 40 or so zombies... granted I used 2 clips of MP5 (so about 60 there) and 10 clips of beretta (so 150 there) with 1 point in aiming. I had raided the Mulraugh Police station so, lots of B92s and 9mm ammo. 

 

Considering I had 1 point of aiming I'm not surprised I wasted so much ammo (210 rounds)... but full points in aiming and miss on 30 shots? That's weird.

 

I know the aiming arc is very tight on ARs so part of the missing could be that you aren't aiming precisely at the zombie.  Something to think about.

 

I will look into the accuracy and adjustments for the next release (which hopefully will be Friday or Saturday)

 

EDIT: OH I almost forgot, most of the longer guns have a minimum range, were you by chance trying to shoot zombies at point blank range?

 

EDIT EDIT: I took an unmodified L85A2 (the gun to which you were referring) out for a spin, at two aiming I took down two zombies with 6- 7 shots. I threw a reflex sight I found onto it and took down two zombies in 3 shots, still at 2 aiming skill... I'm not sure what to tell you...

 

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Even killed one at near point blank range... probably a lucky shot but it only took 1.

I have been defending my base with various sniper rifles which I assume have to be dead on to get a hit and with them its normally 1 shot kill so I don't think its my aiming. I also wasn't shooting point blank I was shooting at about medium range standing still. So yeah this is very weird and even if I was in point blank I'm pretty sure I would have got at least one lucky hit out of thirty on the wall of dead. Is anyone else experiencing any problems with the accuracy of automatic guns in particular, the L85A2?

 

EDIT: looking forward to the update at the end of the week, even if the ARs don't work (4 me) the semi autos are pretty sweet so it isn't too bad.

Yeah, the EoW update should include the conversion recipes returning ammo and the like and some revisions. I also might throw in some tweaks to the reloading scripts, for instance adding a small timer and sound for opening and closing the cylinder of  a revolver or breaking open the double barrel shotguns. We will see if I have time...

 

My favorites are the shotguns they sure can mow down zombies lol

 

Yes, shotguns are far and away the zombie horde bane. I am torn on them as well, on one hand I love the realism of the spread and usefulness against zombies, but then there is the concern for balance, and they are quite over powered... unless the reloading and need to pump on some of them is enough.

I have made the executive decision to add in a whole slew of more gun-porn-y guns I was reluctant to add along with silencer and the like eventually. I was originally intending to have two versions of the mod, one with only realistically found guns and one with ALL guns I could plausibly add.

 

However the concept of making the same changes to two mods to keep them both up to date seems like a stupid idea. Instead, I will add all the plausible guns to the one main mod, the gun-porn-y ones will just be added to another category of SUPER RARE. So they will be there, just stupidly hard to find.

 

So, if you have any suggestions for more guns let me know, but please look at the list of included guns, guns already slated to be added and guns that I will not add before suggesting.

I kept the STG 44 out for now because of the very odd round, if you can find me another gun that uses the round I might reconsider.

 

Edit: Though if your question is am I going to add obscure guns or just the OP ones that arent as obscure I kept out. I say, yes. By that I mean I am adding everything unless it is too similar to another gun, or the gun (or its ammo) is was too obscure

 

I am also going to work on a game start option toggle to toggle the gun-porn guns off or on. Though that might take a bit longer as I have yet to look into the game options code.

 

EDIT EDIT: Hopefully you all aren't dissapointed in me... it was a hard decision for me. (As hard as a hobby decision can be >.>)

Adding the Pecheneg, but isn't it the PKM? (looks it up) Oh, right, the PKP is the modernized version. Adding it to the list.

 

Give you a list? Well, the ones I already know I am going to add are on the front page of the discussion in the "Here is a list of guns I have had suggestions for (or I thought of) and will add:" section.

 

The guns I could possibly add to that list is relatively endless... Though I have to stop adding guns at some point...

 

Give me another suggestion and I will give it the yay or nay.

 

EDIT: Good news, I figured out how to make the guns keep ammo after conversion (useful for sawing off or for firing mode conversions (when I implement them). Bad news I figured out how to do it while trying to get it to return ammo on conversion, so, that didn't work out so well...

There will be a fun recipe, wuth duct tape and Spas shotguns, though... besides the intimidation factor (which I think is lost on zombies) would you also make a system to fire both shotguns at once?

 

ALSO, gentlemen (and any ladies) we have a break through. I have figured out a way to have the recipies transfer ammo over to a new gun, in the case of sawing off (or soon firemodes) AND another version of the same code to return the ammo in a gun on conversion and remove all ammo from the resulting gun (in the case of caliber conversions like .357 to .38) So rejoice and I will finish implementing this across all the guns for release hopefully today.

I imagine it as like you fire 2 spas12s at once only downside is that it takes longer to reload and will have a huge kickback lol but not as bad cause they are duck tapped which should make it so kickback isn't as bad as firing 2 spas 12s not duck tapped

Hey everyone!

 

Here is version 1.19! Changes include:

 

- A few more guns (all rare auto versions of existing guns)

- The ability to change fire modes on select weapons (I am still working on a burst fire script so for now it is only semi-pump or semi-full auto)

- Weapon conversion (caliber/saw-off/fire-mode) either returns ammo or puts ammo into resulting gun.

can you go into details with the ability to change firemodes? 1 do you change it through the context menu? 2 what weapons can we change the fire modes on?

 

Context menu for now, it would get much more complicated to add a hotkey for it.

The weapons that change weapon modes are listed on the front page with their firemodes in parenthesis, but here's the list:

Benelli XM1014 (Semi-auto to pump)

Spas-12 (Semi-auto to pump)

M16 (Semi-auto to full-auto)

M4C (Semi-auto to full-auto)

FN FAL (Semi-auto to full-auto) (Added a semi-auto variant the FSL LSR for more common finds)

HK G3 (Semi-auto to full-auto) (Kept the HK91 for tthe more common SA only)

L85A2 (Semi-auto to full-auto)

HK MP5 (Semi-auto to full-auto)

HK UMP (Semi-auto to full-auto)

FN P90 (Semi-auto to full-auto)

Kriss Vector (Semi-auto to full-auto) (Kept the CRB Semi-auto variant for more common finds)

Though, I am trying to find a way to move this out of the WIP section without ruining all the history of conversation... though the Mods have yet to hear my plea.
