Hello All,

Here is the link to the most recent version of my mod, which is currently considered to be stable!

http://www.mediafire.com/download/fdp5txod5h1pdtd/ORGM+1.242+-+ModelLoader.zip

Installation instructions are included in the folder

Going Forward this mod will require Jabs ModelLoader which is included in the download file for your convenience (much thanks to Jab!)

Forum Topic here.

Also, please be aware that this will require you to be on build 32.30

Patches/Expansion mods

Spoiler

Hydrocraft compatibility path courtesy of Sykriss, go get it!

If you use Necroforge, here is a link to a plugin for compatibility of ORGM items made by Svarog:

Here is a addon that will dd silencers to ORGM weapons for those who have been asking.

Here is an expansion mod made by PizzaPepperoni that gives you money for zombie kills, then allows you to purchase weapons from mystery boxes. Check it out!

Here is another Hydrocraft compatibility patch that makes the ammo breakdown/crafting possible with ORGM ammo.

This is a Steam link so you will need steam for this one unless the author releases a non-steam version

I know there are those that say "Don't change guns it will destroy the feeling of PZ".

Trust me, I know. Two things.

First, I will try my hardest to implement them in game without really upsetting the balance of the game.

Second, if you don't like it don't download it. No need to bash the mod unless you want it and it doesn't work right...

What the mod currently includes as of version 1.24:

- 102 guns (not including sawn-off versions, fire mode changes and muticaliber gun conversions like .357 to .38) - see list below

- 16 gun modifications - see list below

- 3 gun repair items

- Custom inventory icons for all items

- Custom models for guns

- Custom firing sounds for most guns

- Custom gun Reloading/Racking/Manual Action sounds for every caliber

- Fire mode conversions (for guns with multiple fire modes)

- Guns can use substantially similar caliber rounds (however, be aware some rounds will change how fast or slow a gun degrades)

- Slug rounds for shotguns have a chance of spawning (shotguns require a conversion to use however)

- Weapon conversion recipes that transfer (or remove) ammo

- Ability to unload ammo from guns/mags

- Custom reloading scripts for various gun setups including magazines and speed loaders

- Full distribution of guns, magazines, mods and repair items in containers and possibly on dead bodies

- Guns will spawn with possible damage, a possibility of having loaded ammo and a possibility of having mods attached

I am also accepting suggestions for gun additions.

Here are the parameters for suggestions:

Spoiler

Please check the currently included gun list, then check the list of guns I will add, then check the list of guns I might add but am undecided on, finally check the list of guns I will not add. If the gun is not on any of those lists then continue.

It can't be for an obscure caliber. I don't want to add any .17 Fireball or .577 Tyrannosaur caliber weapons.

If it is for a common caliber but there aren't any others of the same caliber currently on the list, please include a second gun of the same caliber. I don't like to have 1 gun to 1 caliber.

If the gun is civilian grade, it needs to be fairly easy to obtain, and it can not be a derivation of a currently listed gun. For example, I have a M1911 (.45 ACP), I am not going to add a Kimber Aegis II because it is, for all intents and purposes, the same thing. However, to keep to the same example I will accept a 9mm derivation because it is a different caliber.

I will except fairly obscure civilian guns, now. They will just be put into a "Super-Rare" category.

If the gun is police grade, it needs to be readily available and common to American police. I am trying to keep this as realistic as possible, the game takes place in Kentucky, please do your research on this.

If the gun is military grade, it needs to be available and common to American armed forces. As with police weapons I am trying to keep it as realistic as possible, though I am trying not to go overboard so no RPG-7s or USAS-12s.

I am now accepting rarer police and military guns as well, though try to not give me suggestions for rare or obscure calibers (as I do not want to overload on ammo types)

Give me a reason on why you think the gun should be included (following the parameters above)

Provide as much info as possible (weight, clip size, caliber etc.), the more info you provide the more likely/faster it will be included.

Here is an awesome link that has a full listing of items included in the mod:

Armalite AR-25 - too similar to the KAC SR-25

AWC G2 - Obscure gun with a production lot of less than 100

Cheytac Intervention - Expensive gun that uses and obscure caliber

HK CAWS - Has specialized linked ammunition

Reloading Press - Doesn't make sense given you can find a relatively infinite supply of ammo from zombies, you just need to kill them to get it.

Melee weapons - Trying to keep the scope of this mod relatively narrow

Usage of my material

If you are so inspired by my mod, or things in my mod and you use some of my coding, or items, or whatever, please at least let me know and give some attribution... some of the coding I have done took a lot of trial and error. I am not going to say you can't use my material because: 1) I do not have the means to really enforce or prove it 2) If you can make a better mod than I, I would rather improve the overall community than force my mod to be the only one.

This hasn't happened yet, I am just going to get ahead of the ball here.

Do something different than the other gun mods out there. Besides just adding your own idea of what weapons there should be in game add a new mechanism that is missing. Like realistic reloading for say. The ability to loot magazines, having to reload magazines and swap them would be pretty neat.

Just giving you something for you to set your mod apart since this genre has been pretty much been overdone. But its good practice for you to get into modding PZ.

Good point, I was going to really balance the gun damage/accuracy to make it not OP.

A magazine system is an intention of mine, though I am goingto leave  the  option to use mags or not. The base game does this but the mag system does not work. The difficult thing I have yet to see if it is possible is coding in the use of speed loaders for revolvers while still alloying manual loading.

I agree the genre has been done, but RKF is too specific and limited in its gun selection, and the other ones have way to crazy/OP weapons. I don't want to have M249 SAWs, UZIs etc because they are either too OP or not readily available to civilians or Military/police in the US

well, this seems interesting. i have been hoping NCrawler would come back and redo his Yet Another Weapons mod....but no sight of him for a while now.

you have a good selection of guns so far, just try not to make the list too big.

I am hoping to at least limit it a bit by keeping all the ridiculous and rare (although incredibly cool) guns out of  the mod.

Maybe some more ww2 weapons, mp40, mp-44, ppsh, kar98k.... and a fal

I have the M1 Garand  in there but I hesitate to put many more of the WW2 weapons in the mod.

Not because they are not present and available here in the States, but because the ammunition that (most of) those guns use is not readily available...

Case an point:

7.92 Mauser, is not that common (Kar 98k)

7.62x25 (PPsh) not common (also the PPsh is not very common here, more so in Russia)

7.62x54 (SVT-40) Not commin in the US, moreso in Russia

.30 Carbine (few guns use this round, and those that do are rare themselves)

Granted I could be wrong about the availability of the above so correct me if I am wrong.

The others like the MP-40, Luger P08, Mauser, M1A1 Thompson I could plausibly add, though I don't know how prevalent those guns are... Especially the German ones.

Can you make a convincing arguement for any of the ones in particular? I am trying to keep it realistic... (not gun porn as this game is not the place for it)

5.7 pistol and p-90 5.7 aswell :]

Super .38 colt commander

In real life i been wanting the el jefe version but i cant find it cheap :( or at least el matador version. But fak they expensive

Okay so the 5.7 is a military grade round but even there it is not commonly used. (and yes I know they make sporting versions, which are still not common)

The FN Five-seven is listed as used by the U.S. Secret Service, the Duluth Georgia PD and the Passaic County NJ Sheriff's office. For most of its time it was restricted to military/police use, only until about '04 was it sold to the public. As such it is fairly uncommon.

The FN P90 is actually used by a many gvt. agencies and several U.S. police departments, though none in Kentucky.  It is much more common than it's pistol counterpart. However, the availability is still fairly uncommon.

For those two I could see adding them in if you can make a case for their inclusion (aside from their obvious coolness).

As for the Super .38 Commander. The .38 Super round is not a hugely well known round. I would consider adding it if you could find another gun that uses the same round (as I say in the OP I don't want to add only 1 gun per ammo type) and give me some specs on them. (I realize that the .38 commander is a derivation of the 1911)

(I also realize I am a bit of a hypocrite for adding guns in the .454 and 10mm rounds leave me alone)

5.7 handgun is sold in gunshows across Texas for public. Not to mention cabelas and most armory stores.

As for the 38 super theres several companies that clone the colt version.

Although both can be extremly rare, they are worth a shot having them. 38 super can be better than 45 for several reasons. It has stopping power, less kick and precision.

Really? I didn't know the Five-Seven was that prevalent. Also the P90 is used by the Houston PD so beware there lol.

Alright fair enough I'll put those in. Though the AP round of the 5.7 would not do a heck of a lot of damage to zombies...

As for the .38 Super if you can find me a non Colt Commander clone firearm that is relatively common I'll include it.

Armor piercing (AP) round is made to penetrate metal plates on body armor, just imagine on a dead corpse lol... major damage.

The 5.7 aka cop killer has its nick name for a reason. Lol them guns are over flowing in Mexico; though they arw more common on the criminal side

Well the .38 super you can leave it out :( i cant think of any

If you include the 5.7 that be my handgun of choice to take down the undead, looters and anyone thats a threat

Just make it difficult to find :)

But you think that AP is meant to penetrate and pierce through, zombies are more damaged by shredding from Hollow Points from my understanding.

Though reading up on the 5.7 round they do come in the HP variety...

This makes me want to see if I can jury-rig an ammo type system... but then we get into the issue of it being difficult to manage multiple ammo types for the same caliber...

*sigh* I was hoping you would try harder for the .38 super... you could have mentioned the Taurus 38S or the SIG P220 which was produced in .38 Super...Still, if you want me to leave it out...

Hk G-3 Rifle .308

FN FAL .308 (i think)

MP-7

Okay, on the MP-7 as much as I love that gun, its gonna have to be a no.

Here's why:

4.6mm round isthe only round used by this gun and the only other gun that uses it is the HK UCP. Both guns and the round are EXTREMELY rare and only for military use as far as I know. Even then very uncommonly.

I may make an expansion pack to this mod which would be more gun-porn-y but the intention to this mod is to expand the gun variety of the game in a realistic manner.

The FN FAL I would be willing to put in a Semi-Auto version only as they are not very common in the US as they are automatic firearms that were de-militarized (I.E. the upper recievers were destroyed to make them non-automatic) so the only versions in the US are semi-Auto ones (barring someone converting it, though I don't want 2 FN FALS)

Same goes for the HK G3, due to firearm import restrictions the Automatic version would not be available in the U.S. I would be willing to add the semi-auto version of it (the HK-91 if you really want it)

It be awsome havibg them both man i vote fpr those two

Make them heavy though cause in real life they weight pretty heavy

Well I am doing all the weights in Kilos so the HK91'd be around 5.

and the FN FAL around 4.3

I'll put them in but the weight would make them more annoying to lug around compared to the AR-10.

EDIT: To make them more viable, I made them either longer range or have less recoil effect due to the weight. Basically I assumed the AR-10 was a shorter barreled one.
