  1. Hello, I'm running a server with my friends for about two weeks. We used about 50+ mods by now and until yesterday everything was working great. Today I tried to add the Rain Wash mod (2657661246), so I subscribed to it, added it to the server and the process insta-Terminated right after the "Loading World" phase came in. Since the error came right afther the Rain Wash addition, I removed it from the server, tried again and the same error kicked in. Since the step above didn't worked, I tried unsubscribing all the mods as if it was a "server version x mod version error". Didn't worked aswell. After failing twice, I opened the server logs and depared to the follow error lines: [06-02-22 14:36:46.552] ERROR: General , 1644169006552> 12,014,319> java.lang.RuntimeException: Cannot override existing registry id, item: Base.GardenSaw. [06-02-22 14:36:46.587] LOG : General , 1644169006587> 12,014,355> Server Terminated.. Since it involved the Base.GardenSaw item, I tried a bunch of stuff like disabling the item and other things that might have even worsened the scenario. My last resource was wiping out all the mods from the server, no success. I love this game and was having tons of fun on this server, so I hope I can reverse this case and hop back in my base with my friends. Below I attach the log files generated from the failed attempts to run the server. 06-02-22_14-42-16 (before wiping all mods).txt 06-02-22_15-37-49_ (after wiping all mods).txt 06-02-22_15-41-49_ (last general bug log).txt
  2. Howdy. Sorry to bother everyone but I'm having some difficulty getting the server set up. I followed the directions as written on the wiki, and when I tried joining I was met with a wrong password error. I tried a fix mentioned in a different thread (will post a link below) and now the server isn't responding. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Sorry if that isn't enough information but I'm very new to this. Thanks! https://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php?/topic/24407-released-iwbums-build-409/&tab=comments#comment-274070
  3. My boyfriend and I have been trying to play together on a server off and on for the past two weeks but haven't been able to get it to work for various reasons and are starting to get frustrated. We run off the same internet connection, which is the only thing I could think of being the issue. Whenever we try to connect to each other's servers, we are either given the error messages, "Wrong server password given," despite the fact that we do not put passwords on our servers, or "Failed to Establish P2P Connection with server." And when we do manage to connect, we are given the error message of, "You have been kicked because your game files do not match with the servers," despite having uninstalled and reinstalled a grand total of 5 or 6 times now and deleting and reinstalling mods with every fresh installation. We've followed the online instructions, we've checked all our files and we've done everything we thought we could do. Is there something we're missing? Is this even on us at this point, or are we running into a bug? I'm attaching a file of my most recent attempt to connect to his server by A. accepting his invitation and B. a few different attempts at connecting, which contain both P2P and password errors. Thank you for your time. frustration.txt
  4. Hey guys, I'm sure this has been posted a lot, but I'm running a server with my friends, consisting of one being at my house (Joining via lan) and two connecting from else ware. After a long game, I needed to amp up the ram in my server, so I did so in the bat file, doing so seemed to have deleted my friends characters, but kept mine, and my mate's who joined via lan. Is there any way to fix this and restore their characters? I heard it's possible to replace a map_p file, but I've still had no luck. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.
  5. I'm sure people have put up threads about this a ton, but I spent about 40 minutes last night trying to setup a server for Project Zomboid and I cannot figure this damn thing out. I was able to connect to my own server no problem and here are the things I did to try to make the server work for my friends who were trying to connect. -I told them my "what is my ip" IP and the default port for the server, which I confirmed is the listening port on the server info box. -I opened ports from 16261 - 16293 in my router, set the protocol to both for UDP etc, and set my local port to 16261 (honestly not sure what to put there and most insturctions use differnet language for that, like internal port). -I asked them to make sure they weren't having any spaces in the IP (nope) -I checked the server log to see if it was giving some kind of error for them (nope) -I reset Steam entirely after opening ports (no effect) -I made sure my firewall has exceptions open for Project Zomboid 32 bit and 64 bit. I probably did other things too, but I can't recall at the moment. I've tried a lot and I really cannot figure it out. Here is some extra info as detailed in the multiplayer FAQ: OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Connection Speed: 13 mb/s download - 1 mb/s upload - 12 ping Home computer, no VPS. Here is a view of my port forwarding list from my router thing: So, with all of that I did use the websites http://www.canyouseeme.org/ and http://www.yougetsig...ls/open-ports/ to try to check my ports and they don't say they are open. I just don't understand why not. I have a feeling I'm doing something dumb I just don't understand because I'm not used to this router's port forwarding stuff, or because I don't know a ton about it in the first place, so if anyone has any idea let me know. Thanks for reading.
