  1. Project Farmoid version 0.75c is out! Trellis kits now function as a separate farming plot. Once you have a trellis kit and either a shovel or a trowel, you will be able to place them just like you would a farming plot. Once placed, trellis kits can be planted with their own list of seeds. If you remove the plot, you will get the trellis kit back, regardless of whether there are vines growing on it or not. After you have harvested your vines, the plot will revert back to an unplanted trellis plot ready to be reseeded! You must be farming level 2 and have read the magazine Better Shelters and Farms in order to make your own trellis kits. However, if you find a trellis kit in some loot, you can use that right away, regardless of your farming level. This also means you can steal trellises that someone else has already planted. Keep an eye on your gardens! This new system fixes the bug that consumed more than 1 trellis kit when planting vines. Adjusted vegetable yields to balance them out more. Loot distribution has also been adjusted to balance out reusable trellis kits and the increase in farmable crops. Let me know if it seems appropriate for your loot settings. Thank you for using my mod! Keep calm and farm on! -K A video showing the change highlights can be found at: Project Farmoid v0.75c Update Highlights
  2. After just reading the latest mondoid at http://projectzomboid.com/blog/2016/06/career-zeds/ and seeing the video on trees, I realized that there needs to be more variety. Now, some of you may not be taking me seriously right now because there are nice variety of trees, but I don't mean the species of tree, what I'm taking about right now is the quality of wood. As I, and just about any other person that works with wood knows, that different species have different hardness and looks. This would be applied in the game by different kinds of wood constructs having different strengths, and different kind also looking different, some looking better a than others. It would also show how much damage would be done to your axe. Next, chainsaws, a destructive weapon, and an amazing tool. It would cut down trees a lot faster that an axe, do more damage than any other weapon, and would be pretty easy to use, your aim not being as important. But it would have problems, like you'd have to be strong to use it, they'd be very rare, they would be extremely loud, and it would swallow up our precious fuel. Finally (I don't know if they have this, so if they do, let me know) I think that trees should reproduce and grow on their own, making barren neighbor hoods, into shrouded forests given enough time. You should also be able to collect seeds from said trees when you cut them down, or as a forage drop when under a tree, then you could take it home and plant it, being able to create and orchard. this would lead to a variety of fruit bearing trees, allowing characters to have more variety in their gardening and cooking.
  3. Hey, so i was wondering if the devs are going to allow replanting and reseeding. What do you mean by? Replanting: By replanting i mean being able to move things like berry bushes, vegetables, things that you can dig up and then place in the ground another place with enough effort. So when you sow your carrots at a stupid place, you'll have the ability to move them inside a safer spot by replanting them inside the wall you just build. Reseeding: By reseeding i mean being able to take seeds from plants, we do it in my family when some food-plants/vegetables are too exepnsive, we just take the seeds out of them and put them in a box, so we can reseed them again next year. This would also open up a use for some rotten food, by rotten i mean potatoes and the like. To plant potatoes you let them rot to a point where new sprouts begins to grow out of them, and then you sow them into the ground, so that they may produce more potatoes. (Also i haven't seen it yet, but cheese shouldn't really be able to rot since we do eat rotten cheese and meat, and let it rot on purpose because it taste better that way, some think so anyway (Not a cheese lover here)) (Sorry but I'm to tired to make seperate topics) also it would be handy if you could: - dry food so it would be non-perishable (So people did in old ages.) - Salting food (same as above) - Canning food and pickling food (There are a lot of easy fast ways to do this (and i know a person made a mod, and i thank that person and i have already suggested it a while back with a fine big pic with a lot of pickled food xD)) - In summer being able to dig a hole, and store food down in it (since the sun only warms the outher layer and therefore it's cold the further down you get, so they don't rot so fast.) And when basements get implemented, being able to store fruits etc. down in the basement (since it's colder down in the basement, and people used to keep food stored there, and still have.) also look up the coolgardie safe (really handy for keeping things cold) Sorry got a bit off track Please leave a comment with what you think.
