  1. Quick Summary: Louisville, KY is the disco ball capital of the world. Adding a disco ball factory would be a fun addition. Explanation: Over 90% of all disco balls worldwide are manufactured in Louisville, Kentucky. In the 1980s around 25 people, mostly women, made disco balls, manufacturing 25 per day per worker. Its in a smaller factory. The disco balls, formally known as mirror balls, are filled with aluminum, then have the mirrors put on. Their factory floor had a boom box for music - playing the best disco music, of course! This company also had a decently-sized wood products division sharing factory space with the mirror division, and the mirror division also makes traditional mirrors, but it is most known nationally & internationally for the disco balls. The manufacturing process, as described by the woman who has been making them for nearly 50 years (and she still does!), Yolanda "Yo Yo" Baker: On a recent morning, Baker showed how sheets of mirror glued to heavy cloth are scored in various sizes and then broken into squares. Strips of mirrored cloth are then cut into workable lengths. She grabs an aluminum shell, made in Illinois, and carefully applies glue. The middle of the ball is covered first with what Baker calls the "belly band" and then, one strip at a time, she starts the laborious process of turning a dull ball into an explosion of light. P.S. One company anecdote described how, once upon a time, an unmarked police vehicle drove straight into the factory wall, with its whole front inside the building! Maybe a fun addition to the building? P.S.S. Working disco balls would also be LIT, I wanna see zombies swaying in a mosh pit now, or a survivor using their dance moves on a dance floor under a disco ball
  2. The implementation of a Radio Signal Tracking mechanic in the game can provide a more engaging and strategic gameplay experience, adding layers of realism and challenge to survival. Introducing tracking, players would need to consider radio signal transmission when undertaking crucial activities, such as communicating with other survivors or establishing meeting points. This realistic dynamic adds a strategic element to gameplay, compelling players to balance the need for communication with the risk of revealing their location to other players or hostile NPC survivors. The tracking mechanic could foster the development of specific skills in the game, such as the ability to use radio equipment, find secure locations for communication and resource gathering, and even track other players or threats. This would encourage players to diversify their survival skills, making gameplay more challenging and dynamic. The introduction of tracking could facilitate deeper interaction among players in multiplayer mode, enabling more advanced cooperative strategies. The ability to track the location of other players could be used to coordinate efforts, share resources, or even create strategic ambushes against threats. In summary, implementing a Radio Signal Tracking mechanic in Project Zomboid would not only increase the complexity of the gaming experience but also add realistic and strategic elements, challenging players to enhance their survival skills in an increasingly unpredictable environment.
  3. Is there any chance of being able to change the mod location from ( C:\Users\[USER NAME]\Zomboid ) to another drive as my C:\ drive is nearly full.
  4. I did a search and I was surprised to see that nobody had suggested GPS and that it wasn't in the frequently-requested things. I'm particularly inspired as my current character is lost AF. I had a look-see, and GPS existed, although it was grossly inaccurate, the receivers were very finicky and heavy, and it was only common with military. GPS then was likely just rough-coordinates on a screen. With one equipped, it might have display similar to the watch, but show coords. Then, using the map (planned), it would show you (roughly) where you are. Keeping true to the real-world function, accuracy is worse around tall buildings, and non-existent inside of buildings. The receivers would be rare loot, of course, and have a few different models of varying weight and quality. If you wanted to be strictly historical, they'd probably only be found with the military. But use in agriculture might have already started (for real), and if you wanted to pull it a bit, you're only talking about a few years difference.

    Mansion, KY

Created for the fresh game version 40.40 and 40.43. I aslo uploaded this mod on NEXUS here is the link: Download from Nexus I also attached this mod in this post. Mansion - On the outskirts of Kentucky, in the middle of a forest is located a huge mansion. This private property on its territory has a garage, steel fence, fresh air, storage unit and even greenhouse in case the fridge is almost empty. This is one of the nicest, safest and peaceful places you could ever find in the whole Kentucky! In case you ran out of supplies you could visit a convenience store, only several miles away! In game tutorial is great and by having that kind of a mansion it would be much easier for newbies to learn how stuff works in this game and safer from the start. P.S: Game engine doesn't like walls completely made from (glass) windows and because of that it will be a little tricky to use a greenhouse. P.S.S. To developers: I would be so glad and honored to see this mansion as a part of the game in the final game. Or at least as a challenge map. Or both. My intention was to build a vanilla mansion on the outskirts of Kentucky. Because many houses too close to the town. Many work and testing was done. Plus a cell aligned with adjacent cells. I will gladly share my source files to the developers if needed, just ask me by using my email address: flanua@gmail.com PZ Mansion KY.zip
  6. It'd be nice if in one of the more urban areas you could find a plant nursery with seedlings, saplings, cuttings, and all the other sources of rare fruit you could want. The catch? You'll need to get there before the power gets shut off, because the automatic watering system will only last so long, and allll those rare plants will die without water. You'll never taste a banana, orange, pineapple, lemon, or avocado again...unless you can get in, get the sprouts and seedlings, and load them into your car before the zed get there. It'd also have big stocks of seeds, shovels, trowels, watering cans, spray bottles, fertilizer, pre-made mildew and bug spray, and everything else you could want to stock your little backyard garden. Planting trees would take a year before you'd see any result, and you'd need to plant the tropical trees inside a two-storey greenhouse for them to survive, let alone thrive. But you could stay a happy gourmand, with the last banana palms in the Continental US.
  7. First off: Sorry if this have been made before, I haven't seen it. And if it has been made it a good idea. This is just for the idea of the addition of a building. I have always had it in my mind that, were there a Zapocolypse, that one of the first places that I would raid would be the local museum because they have a whole bunch of classic weapons (e.g. swords -katana, long-sword, etc -, medieval axes, clubs/maces, as well as old school muskets and armour). This would also be a fairly heavily defended site I thought. Thoughts and suggestions? I know that they weren't planning on putting in the items I suggested but this is a realistic case as to why some of that stuff might exist.
