  1. Houses are no longer cleaned or repaired regularly, textures should gradually become dusty, walls should lose their paint, outside should have details of dirt, moss and dark polution marks and inside should have details of seepage and mold with wall debris on the floor, in a Silent Hill 2 or Chernobyl vibe, you know? I feel this needs to be more aggressive in the game. It seems that the houses, internally and externally, do not follow the advance of vegetation at the same intensity, after a long time everything is still clean, perfect and happy. Anything metal in the game should oxidize; cars, grills, garbage cans, blades, poles, even slides, swings, etc. everything should loose paint and rust. The woods should rot too.

  3. Project Chernaurus Buildings and such will be posted here from now on. Hope you all enjoy. Map is complete (minus buildings and such.) There are placeholder tiles for where buildings will be placed. The map size is 6000px x 6000px. It's a huge map.Buildings and whatnot are what's left (basically everything) to make it a real fun map to get immersed in!! Update: 2/11/2014 Chernogorsk I am currently constructing the city of Cherno, with the help of Maklane, I have a couple buildings to get started, while making my own buildings for the world. If I do use other members buildings I will be sure to credit those as well. Hopefully won't take too long and I will post pictures of the progress. Thank y'all for visiting! Update: 2/24/2014 Getting more buildings created, been a bit busy with life, but still building on my off days and whenever I have a chance to work on them. Learned a bit about custom tiles, might have my own tiles made for the castles, from some examples I've seen online. Also will be making cracked, peeled walls, a more run down look for Chernarus. New roof tiles and so on. dead body tiles and other miscellaneous tiles for atmosphere. Update: 5/4/2014 Project Chernaurus will be suspended until further notice. (Due to a busy work schedule). I am very happy with the work I've been putting in to make it the best fun map to play on so hopefully I'll get back to it and get it up and running so all can enjoy in the near future. I've been out a while and haven't really updated anything but before the busy weeks I finished placing buildings in Chernogorsk and most of the map is finished. I had some random close calls with TILEZED almost failing and causing memory issues. I guess the map has so many nooks and crannies to explore which made it bigger and more memory intensive but all that is really left is touch ups and things of that nature. So even though I've finished all the easy work now is where the HARD WORK begins and where I will leave it for the time being until I have more time to myself and my hobby as opposed to WORK, FAMILY and SCHOOL. I'm sorry about the bad news!! I will be out of contact with this forum for a while, but will randomly visit the website whenever I have a chance!! Again so sorry for the news!! Sorry for not posting any screenies, too much work and so many ways I'd like to present it and make it look nice so I guess I will wait until I have more time to. Mansion, KY

Created for the fresh game version 40.40 and 40.43. I aslo uploaded this mod on NEXUS here is the link: Download from Nexus I also attached this mod in this post. Mansion - On the outskirts of Kentucky, in the middle of a forest is located a huge mansion. This private property on its territory has a garage, steel fence, fresh air, storage unit and even greenhouse in case the fridge is almost empty. This is one of the nicest, safest and peaceful places you could ever find in the whole Kentucky! In case you ran out of supplies you could visit a convenience store, only several miles away! In game tutorial is great and by having that kind of a mansion it would be much easier for newbies to learn how stuff works in this game and safer from the start. P.S: Game engine doesn't like walls completely made from (glass) windows and because of that it will be a little tricky to use a greenhouse. P.S.S. To developers: I would be so glad and honored to see this mansion as a part of the game in the final game. Or at least as a challenge map. Or both. My intention was to build a vanilla mansion on the outskirts of Kentucky. Because many houses too close to the town. Many work and testing was done. Plus a cell aligned with adjacent cells. I will gladly share my source files to the developers if needed, just ask me by using my email address: flanua@gmail.com PZ Mansion KY.zip
  6. The right click menu appears but when selected nothing happens. The avatar does not even more to the window to attempt to barricade or hang the sheet. I made sure that I had the proper equipment for both. thanks, lee

  8. Hello to anyone who's reading this. I'm working with Neutz on the Union City map. We'll release a part of it once the Suburban Area is done. What I need from each one of you is an idea for buildings, it can be a shop, a gas station, (no more house ideas, please, unless you made some and want to share them, my brain is mush as this moment from making 200+ houses already) warehouses, small clinics, pet shops, you name it. I just need building ideas. If you want to give some buildings for the upcoming map you're more than welcome to do so. If you want to give ideas, give a small description or a list of the buildings, if you can, provide a picture if you want something custom which I could try and make. Thanks to anyone who'll be writing below, be sure to check the Union City thread, we'll keep you posted weekly (if we don't forget from time to time ._.) on the upcoming map progress.
  9. Hi! It's me again. You can download house. So... Enjoy . DOWNLOAD: house.tbx
  10. Pretty much what it says on the tin. A while ago, I read on the wiki that your character has a chance to spawn with their home's key(40% IIRC), but after making several new characters it seems that that rarely if ever happens. I'm wondering then if it is at all possible to increase the chance of, or guarantee, that you spawn with your housekey? If there's an option for such deep inside the game's files. I'vwe looked but I didn't find anything of the like, so I thought to ask here. Any help would be appreciated.

  12. So its been a while that ive been playing PZ and there is something that really tick me off, its not something really important, and im not quite sure if thats been already mention before, but I feel that they should add a visual to backpack on your character, if hes equipping it we should be able to see it on his back, or if he was holding it then we should see him holding it. and as for the other idea was, is are we going to be able to build house or other rooms with maybe bricks ? (Maybe reaching lvl 6 or 7) Whats your opinion about it.
  13. Intro To The Idea: My friend and I were talking today when out of nowhere he came up with an amazing suggestion for Project Zomboid. I am sending it out to y'all for him as he isn't the greatest zomboid fan (having only 5 hours in). His idea was the possibility of finding back-up generators scattered throughout muldraugh. If TIS (The Indie Stone) does end up adding negative zed levels, ie basements, then there will have to be something occupying these spaces other than a garbage can or a couple of spare nails. Imagine you have spent several weeks on a new character, preparing for the oncoming winter months of starvation, when suddenly the power goes out. You don't worry about it as you have stocked up on canned goods. Just moments later you hear a low humming coming from a near-by home. Running in to find the noise, you see a staircase downward, at the bottom: a backup generator. You rush to turn it off but know the zed have heard and are already on their way... This would add so much to the game as it would influence the player to loot nearby houses as some people (like myself) don't do that in fear of an alarm sounding. These generators wouldn't be too common but not too rare, just over the frequency of alarms. The player staying in a nearby home would be tempted to raid and check for a backup generator just to make sure hoardes wouldn't flood their area once the power went out. The Backup Generator Details: To prevent the misuse of said Generators, they will only be able to be turned off. Due to the utter gamey-ness of so many players, this will be beneficial towards the game. It wouldn't be able to be moved as it would have been welded or attached quite snuggly into the house with a Co2 filter. They would; however, be able to be siphoned from to fill up your own gas tanks. Other than that they will do nothing else. This may seem like a bummer but combined with the rest of the game it is quite potential. Conclusion: I would love to see what y'all think and hope to see this along with many other things added to the official game. Thank you for reading this and comment below on what you think.

  15. I was thinking and discussing with friends about different ways to build things in this game. I also noticed something missing. The ability to craft wooden nails, or even a notch/wood dowel system. I think it should be in the later levels of carpentry as things of that nature would be fairly difficult for a beginner carpenter. With this idea, adding in a few more tools specific to the trade, like a hand drill (to drill the dowel holes), a chisel (for making notches in the wood to join them together), and ultimately give wood glue/ropes some sort of use in this process as well. This system, by itself, could jump start the creation of log homes or player made structures and give players that wish to be carpenters a more efficient and long term use. My suggestions in total (TL;DR): Wood Nails Wood Dowels Log Carpentry Chisel Tool Hand Drill Tool Minimum Carpentry Level 5 I think this idea can give the Carpenter Occupation more incentive to be picked and played in single and multiplayer. 16. So, I couldn't find a thread about this though there probably is 1, but i'm thinking toward a few specific items. Water cooler: store lots of water in your safe house.Oven/Fridge: collect metal or parts of them for repairing or building stuff (not saying build an oven or fridge, though possible).Window/Door: Take them apart without breaking them (not needed, might be nice).Toilet/Sink: cause water to flood out, maybe collect items of them like a tap in order to make sink-like items from water-holders.Table/Chair: Just like doors, would give planks/sticks or such.Shop Shelves: Same as Table/Chair.Stairs: Same as Table/Chair.Cupboard/Wardrobe: Just another way to get planks, but maybe handles too (like doors).Sofa/Bed: Would drop cushions to use like pillows or something, maybe wood.Lamp post: Would drop metal parts, or wires or something for repairs.Other possible items. So ye, just a general idea of collecting items from existing items, maybe its not needed but I thought it'd be nice.
  17. Maybe the ability (at high level carpentry) to build a house on stilts? Ladders/rope to get up and down and be completely and utterly safe from zombies! Might require a shovel (to dig holes for stilts) and/or cement to hold them in place? sorry if it has been previously suggested bu I couldnt find any links for it, if it has been! Thoughts?
  18. Hey everyone, i find it really annoying that when i finally have got my new base i have all these dead bodies of the zombies i killed inside the house. I think it would be a really good feature that you can drag, drop and even burn dead body's (for example with gasoline and a lighter/matches). and also a way to clean up blood. To some pleople this might sound unnecessary. But i think that would be pretty awesome. Thanks for paying attention and hopefully some people like my idea
  19. I think it would be pretty interesting to see the implementation of some sort of weathering to houses and structures both pre-placed and player built. For example, over time, old homes began to have weed invasions through cracks and crevices, wood starts to rot from rainfall, and walls and roofs become discolored from that as well. And maybe grasses begin to grow taller and wild plants begin to sprout from the earth, or maybe warehouses become covered in vines. As the older the player's adventure lengthens in time, they can watch their environment change too. This would add to the immersion i n the game.
  20. Yeah i played all okay this time. Made a nice base, stockpiled on food, armed myself. This one time i was looting a house randomly and there were just ten zombies chilling. I ran off. And got myself major damage, nevertheless survived. Later i went to a hospital where i had been earlier, then the alarm went off. Hundreds of zombies gathered all around me. I ran off to my house, a bit farther. Few zombies a had to crack, before my house was clear of them. Then, i checked out my health situation. Zombification. Agony. Huge stress. So, i went looking for antibiotics. Everywhere, there where huge zombie barricades. I went to a middle class residential area. Broke myself into a house, an army of zombies waiting for me. Killed me, they bastards did. So, what's your most annoying moments with house alarms?
