  1. Hi everyone, I'm looking for some help with installing zomboid mods on my NUC based linux server. I'm running an Intel NUC 6i5syh with 16gb ram, running Ubuntu Server 16.04 (just a command line, no gui). I've managed to run vanilla servers fine. I've used wget to download steamcmd, unzipped and run. After steamcmd has run, i've installed and run the zomboid server, port forwarded as necessary, and modified the servertest.ini file to get the basic game working the way I like. I've had a handful of friends playing this game no worries. Now though, I want to add a few mods like crematorium, and the learn medicine from dissecting zombie corpses mod. I've watched a few online tutorials and gathered that I have to again modify the servertest.ini file to change: MODS= WORKSHOP_ID= to MODS=CorpseStudy WORKSHOP_ID=1236360319 (multiple mods to be delineated by a ";") As far as I'm aware, doing the above should have the game auto download the updates necessary and run them when the server runs. Unfortunately, after doing this, when attempting to start the server, there are a bunch of notices like: Working: DownloadPending GetItemState()=NeedsUpdateDownloadPending<my photo clipped the rest of this> Finally, it shows: znet: OnDownloadItemResult Workshop: onItemNotDownloaded itemID=1236360319 result=37 Workshop: Item state DownloadPending --> Fail ID=1236360319 I would appreciate any help that can be given. If you need any more info let me know. I'm in Australia, so might no answer right away if you are located elsewhere in the world. Cheers, D.
  2. Set up a steam server, followed all the plans (as you do) read all the docs, its up and running - and it doesn't work - I have tested my port forwards and even though my web server is accessible externally, my zomboid server is not. I can telnet to my web server and it works (to test) but when i telnet to the zomboid port it says it can't connect (internally) however - I can connect to it with the game locally - Everyone is busy here so i can't get them to test if it works for them internally - here are some screen shorts in case you see something utterly stupid i have done/failed to do... I have turned my router firewall off and my computer firewall off to test, and its not that, so I am at a loss, can anyone help?? favus
  3. Hello, I thought I'd share an idea I thought would be: easy to implement logical rewarding interestingSo, instead of being able/not able to craft a certain item at a certain level, it should be possible to try at any level. This is how real life works, so... it makes sense. The rate of success could follow an exponential function such as: Of course there must be a penalty for failure, right? Suggestions: crafting materials are destroyedcrafting materials produce some unwanted productyou hurt yourself (clyde) ps. It could be even be made so that the "quality" of a produced item depends on the combination of your experience and luck, like it is in real life, but in a less "quantized" manner (level X != you always produce quality, level Y != if you have luck you may be able to exceed the typical quality of your level)
  4. Hi guys.I really need help ASAP. I can connect to my server via 127.0.0.1, but I can't connect with my public IP. My friends also can't connect. Please help me! I think It may be a port forwarding issue. On some port checkers it says my ports are open, but on others they're not. Also I tried allowing them through my firewall and I tried opening them, but I don't think it worked.
