  1. I just went to the corn field near Muldraugh to gather the corns while they are still fresh, and while it was one of the most rewarding tasks when it comes to the amount of food early game, looking for it was also one of the most boring (boring IRL that is) tasks to do in game. A simple solution that would make looking for it easier and also would add somewhat realistic flavor to the game, would be to change tile's appearance for empty corn "containers" to look different to easily distinguish if the patch is empty or not, the same way how shelves currently do that. The only real problem could be that once anything else is put in the patch "container" it would appear to regrowth, but maybe easy solution would be limiting the container capacity to 0, effectively allowing player to take things out but not allowing to put anything in (except for 0 weight items like cigaretters, unless their weight will get changed - which I think it should), something I suggested in another thread for dispenser machines I realize that the current implementation of corn fields may be a placeholder and a more fine-tuned system to replace it is planned, but it would be nice to see this change quicker, especially as I think it wouldn't be so hard to implement.
  2. Just what it sounds like. It's not usable in any of these, and why? Is it feed corn or something?
  3. Hey everyone. I was just on my way to Dreadwood from Muldraugh and as I was running through the cornfield by the north farm. As I darted about the corn, axing up some zeds it occurred to me that the last time I was in a corn field, I couldn't see anything but corn. The stalks naturally stagger in position, despite being in rows. There is rarely a lane one can clearly see down in a corn field once inside it. I don't know if player planted corn blocks your vision but I think if it isn't too difficult, it would be neat to see it implemented to make corn and other tall crops block your vision, generate noise when touched and be hard to just run through similar to how dense trees make it all black and slow you to a crawl. Just a thought, not sure if this has already been suggested. Please weigh in.
  4. My suggestion is that we add corn to the game. Oh wait! It is already in the game! It is located at the North Farm in Muldraugh. Now hold on... Then what am I suggesting? Well as of now we can pick and eat corn, but we can't grow it ourselves. So I suggest that we add it as a player-grown crop. I imagine it would be the easiest new plant to add with the sprite and stats already set for it. Wait! I heard fishing... Yes! If you are an avid fisherman like myself  then you probably know that corn kernels are commonly used for fishing bait. They might just be more popular than worms! Probably a regional thing. Anyways, you could use a kitchen knife and a cob of corn and get like 20 corn kernels. Now to keep a little balance in the game (so it is a risk to use food to catch more food), the rate for cathing fish would be: Small Fish - 80% Medium Fish - 18% Large Fish - 2% To add to the balance, you could have it that your bait goes bad faster and you have to put on new bait (or maybe a fish stole it! ).
