  1. I just played PZ again after some time and 20 minutes in running around half naked I quickly caught a cold. The Icon said I'm slower and heal less quickly, and I couldn't run anymore. My point is that an illness normally need some time to show symptoms and to affect the body. After 2 in game hours (around 20 minutes IRL) the cold was already affecting my body severely. Shouldn't there be an incubation period? I started in June with normal temperature settings at 7 am. I know the mornings can be cold but meh. With much love me.
  2. Not sure if this was addressed earlier. If it was, let me know. With that behind, I suggest icing on roads to form as a result of freezing temperatures after a rain or fog. I'm pretty sure there's a grip mechanic regarding tires so shouldn't be hard to implement (hopefully, I'm not a dev). This would add a bit more realism and challenge to driving a car. Imagine just casually driving and then losing control which ends with a glorious crash. Well technically even water on a road should decrease the grip in some way. Dirt roads could get muddy as well, slowing a car down. What is y
  3. So started in March and the biggest issue is staying warm. Even with a down jacket I pretty much am freezing to death most times. A few times I was freezing even standing next to a lit BBQ grill inside a building. So I was wondering if for warmth rating that smaller rooms are easier to heat up to a very warm rating while trying to warm up say a warehouse would make it only a few spaces next to the heat source being any good. Lets say a room 8x8 can be warmed up at the outer reaches by a small amount while slowly going in warms up more. The room being larger the over all
  4. So i just reached December on the world im playing. after 4 character death, my 5 th character have been alive for a month, and this is the first time im playing on winter. i tried to google some information but there isnt much. my main concern is to don't die from cold when im sleeping, if thats even possible i barricaded all windows and closed their curtains, i read somewhere it helps. so do i have to spent 3 months around the campfire or i can be more flexible during the winter?
  5. Welcome and I would like to start by saying I didn’t take any ideas, these are mine and I had these for months. Second I would like to thank you for taking the time to read it. It means a lot. Now without any more interruptions here are my suggestions. Now winter is a problem in Project Zomboid for sure. The only real way to combat this is by sweaters and a campfire. Now my suggestion is the system of heat but before that I need to cover some other things that would play a part in this. The system overview- I say make it so each room has its own temperature, the outdoor has its own too. The
  6. Hi, it would be great if we could wear more clothes like gloves, hats(for winter), socks... -They could get dirty with the time and/or lose efficiency. -When it rains they would get wet and we would have to dry them (in front of a fire?) or we could get very cold. -With the rain, puddles could appear on the ground and if we walk or run into them, our shoes and socks (pants too?) gets wet. -Again with the rain, the grass would become muddy, and running or walking in it would wet our shoes & socks and we would run slower. -Running in the grass/forest we could fall (or if it's impossible,
  7. In the very far future as a very minor detail I think it'd be neat to mitigate colds and similar diseases with oral antiseptics not unlike Listerine. This would make a nice mod or something but if that never happens and those cool Lemmy or RJ dudes needs something to toy with to keep a good dev rhythym going or something they could take a crack at it. Before anyone asks, yes I've tried this and yes it works for the most part. It kills instances of the virus in your mouth and slows/stops them from replicating and reaching their carrying capacity thing where they start attacking the body and st
  8. Hey everyone! I thought adding better weather would be really fun! Better Wind: -When the wind is very strong, it could blow unlocked doors open. -When the wind is very strong, it can rip curtains off open/broken windows. -If you were walking east and the wind is blowing from east to west, the zombies to your west could smell you easier and track you down. -Wind could also pick up pieces of paper and plastic bags and things and send them around a little bit. -Wind could also affect rain, making it come down slanted, as to make you wetter quicker. -Trying to walk against the win
