I would like to run a server on my Windows VPS. The issue that I wouldn't like to transfer the entire 1.5GB to the VPS just to run a server and keep doing that every time for each update. So, my question is: What files are necessary to just run a server? Perhaps this has been posted somewhere and I'm blind, but I haven't seen anything and I have spent some time Googling.

Hey guys, I'm sure this has been posted a lot, but I'm running a server with my friends, consisting of one being at my house (Joining via lan) and two connecting from else ware. After a long game, I needed to amp up the ram in my server, so I did so in the bat file, doing so seemed to have deleted my friends characters, but kept mine, and my mate's who joined via lan. Is there any way to fix this and restore their characters? I heard it's possible to replace a map_p file, but I've still had no luck. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

If you'd like to join this server send me a message and I will grant you the IP, if you'd like to invite somebody else please notify me and do not post the IP on the forums. Preferably (but not limited to) Oceanic players. Server up time: Server will be up between 9am - Midnight NZ time and some nights I'll leave it on overnight, sorry that it's not dedicated but it's a bit hard running it 24/7 from home, once I can find a dedicated host I will use that instead, for now this is simply a placeholder for Oceania players to enjoy the game without lagging on US/Euro servers. I will update the server status manually when it goes up or down so check here often if you're interested. Game type: Server is PVE until further notice, at this point it is far too hard to moderate the server for menacing players so it is easier to just turn PVP off. Known errors: Players joining and seeing nothing but a black screen, this was fixed for these people by restarting the game in compatibility mode. * You can also contact me via Steam directly if you really want the IP but can't seem to get hold of me on these forums!
