  1. Hey guys, having an odd issue with trying to join multiplayer servers. The game starts fine, and I'm able to look at my "favourites" tab once I click join, but the second I click the tab to look for other online games, the list begins to populate and my game crashes. Every single time. Can someone please tell me how I can fix this? https://pastebin.com/epAMnaK6 Crash report.
  2. 've been trying to play with my friend on PZ for a while now. We followed all the instructions onhttp://www.reddit.com/r/projectzomboid/comments/28xzzz/server_setup_guide_build_271/ , and I have port forwarded using ports 16261 to 16265, and still my friend cannot connect to me. So, my question is, what can I do to play with him? It is NOT on LAN. Please help!
  3. I had a few ideas while I was playing online last night to improve the chat system. 1. (Hot keys for custom chat commands) First, I think it would be pretty nice to be able to hotkey custom commands for chat. So instead of having to stop and type out something you could simply hit a key and say whatever it is you wanted. 2. (Chat indicator when typing message) I noticed when playing with others we never know when someone is about to say something so there is alot of times where we are all awkwardly standing around wondering if the other player is about to say something or not. There should be some sort of indicator that someone is trying to communicate. Maybe some moving dots "..." or something that shows that a player is currently typing a message into chat.
  4. Trouble In The Manor is an online multiplayer arena game! The game is inspired from the Garry's Mod game mode: Trouble In Terrorist Town" and Nintendo's: "Luigi's Mansion". The game consists of many game modes but the main game mode in which the game is built on is called "Murder". In murder you are randomly chosen as either an innocent bystander or a murderer. If you are chosen as a murderer you must attempt to kill every last innocent bystander possible without getting caught! In doing so you can buy multiple items from the shop, including weapons, traps, teleporters, and more. The most unique item being a key to unlock a coffin to unleash a vampire among the building! If you are chosen as an innocent bystander, your main task is to hunt down murderers by looking for clues such as blood trails and DNA and using devices to help track them down. One of the game modes that we are really hoping to do is Capture The Flag! The point of the game mode is simple: attempt to steal the enemies flag without getting killed. If you are killed while holding the flag, an enemy can simply walk over the flag to return it. 5. Blog | Facebook | Twitter | Tumblr Zems is an online card game that can best be thought of as Hearthstone meets Chess. Cards you play are put on a hexagonal grid and can be moved around, making positioning a very important aspect of gameplay. _______________________________________________ I have been working on Zems for roughly four years now, refining the concept and gameplay over time. The game has been prototyped in several different frameworks and my team is now committed to using Unity. For ludum dare 29, we created a buggy but playable prototype using a square grid. You can play it here. We're currently working on a new build using a hexagonal grid and several game rules refinements, which should be done around the end of this month. Screenshot from our v0.02 alpha (no UI implemented yet): The team is officially incorporating a company within the next two weeks. We're also contacting a lawyer and getting the proper paperwork made so we can distribute the alpha with a TOS and/or possible contract. Stay tuned! I'll post more updates here as they come.

  8. Hello, I've trying to run a server with Hamachi to avoid opening ports, but every time I join the server the map has black borders (it doesn't load the cells), items do not spawn and neither do zombies. I've been told that this was a port problem, but it still happens with Hamachi. I had a friend try setting up the server (with a Mac too) and had the same result. I'm using the IWBUMS. So I suppose it's the latest. Though this problem has been happening to me since onlinetest came out. That Zomboid folder (in Users) is what I delete between attempts. I have no need to keep the saves at the moment, so there is no file swapping. I have read that Hamachi has worked for people with Windows at least. (Maybe Hamachi on Mac is the problem?) This is what the console output from running the server. A few cells loaded (slow, but loaded), but then almost immediately it slowed and stopped loading them. Looks like some sort of lag between the server and the game. Thanks!
  9. Is there any way for the host of a server to see if someone is cheating. I know i can view logs to see what they do, but i wanted to know if i could look at what traits they have? Maybe how much weight they are carrying?
  10. Me and my friend can't connect to any online servers. We keep Getting this error :
  11. Well, the PVP system still needs to be highly improved and we all know it. Despite talks about a brilliant new "aggression" system, i think the game still could use a little bit of realism, specially dealing with meeting new survivors and PVP. This will be also very useful for RP servers, making it harder to kill characters for metagaming reasons (like "i hate player X, so i'll hunt his in game character) and making it harder to not be noticed as a raider. My suggestion is this (those who played Haven & Hearth and Space Station 13 are familiar with it) -Every character displays a random name above their face representing their appearance -If you click "Remember character's face", you'll add the character's number to a friend's list and you'll know that the guy with that number is the guy you saw -To have a player 'meet' another survivor and know who he is, they must add each other to their friend's list. When a player does that, both players will see their real names above their names unless they're wearing masks -When players wear 'mask' items (such as balaclavas, ski masks, bandanas, gas masks, surgical masks, cloth masks (Basque separatist style), etc) the player's name/character's number is hidden unless the person speaks, then the chat will show the person's number/name depending on whether the listener knows the raider -Equipping the mask is similar to equipping a piece of clothing or the backpack. It would be great if every mask had it's own model/sprite, letting players kind of develop their 'village raider uniform' with identical masks and hats. Like a player village of everyone wearing ETA style cloth masks made out of sheets, green pants, black shirts and berets hidden in a forest just waiting to ambush and rob survivors would be awesome. Why i think this idea is so important: The talks about the revolutionary new aggression system is great, but this system lacks. The ability to just turn on 'aggressive mode' and have no one be able to recognize you sucks because it will make it easier for people to just raid players and just move around undetected. Having the need for masks will make it easier for survivors to recognize raiders (even if you have the skull displaying above the raider character) and harder for people to commit random crimes. Also, this will allow players who want to be burglars but not killers to just put on a mask without the need to turn aggressive on other players.
  12. Server Info: (IP: pzo1.no-ip.biz) Welcome to Project Zomboid: Online! ProjectZomboidOnline.com is the first multiplayer PZ community, aiming to host a selection of quality servers and maintain an enjoyable and structured environment. PZ:O recognizes the amazing MMO-esque potential this game has and hopes to gather like-minded individuals to enjoy the same aspects (as well as let the PZ team know that such interest exists)! PZ:O will host a handful of servers of varying types (with different PVE/PVP types, reset times, etc.), as well as providing community tools to introduce players to each other and keep them engaged (forums, chatroom, twitter, facebook). Feel free to spread the word about PZ:O and bring your friends along! Server Info: (Alpha - IP: pzo1.no-ip.biz) Project Zomboid: Online currently hosts one server (named "Alpha"). Alpha is accessible via the following IP address: pzo1.no-ip.biz. The server allows PVP but is intended to be more cooperative than not (obviously this aspect is up to the players, but just as in a "real" zombie apocalypse it's in everybody's favor to collaborate and trade with other individuals/clans). The Alpha server will "soft reset" (refill containers) once per week (next on 3/17/2014). The server will "hard reset" (everything gone) once per month (next on 4/10/2014). We recommend everyone follow us on Twitter to get instant news about the server (including exciting "clan"/in-game news, server notices, etc.). http://twitter.com/ProjectZOnline
  13. http:/wwww.youtube.com/user/xmrspyx Hello it's Matthew Mayne from the UK, I am currently the only developer of my game called "One Starry Night". One Starry Night was started 5 months ago as a hobby when I was bored, then it turned into something magical for me so I started posting YouTube videos of it. Very few people see these videos but I want to show you my project to a greater audience and get advice on what I should tweak/remove from my game that I am developing. If you have ever played slender the game-play style is very similar but in ways is different, for example Slender has no animations or cut scenes, my game does, slender revolves around finding notes, One Starry Night revolves around looking for information on what had just happened before your plane crashed, this can be found via radio. Not that slender is a bad game I just need to tell you the differences as there is a limited amount of footage I can show you via YouTube. These are some screenshots that I've got of my game currently as I do not have my computer handy. Plot: The game starts of the protagonist going to bed while very sleepy, his butler says to him that his flight to Los Angeles is booked for 6 A.M when he proceeds to leave the building and a radio broadcast starts to play giving information on what's about to happen to you. The room the cut-scene plays in (Unfinished) The map of One Starry Night is 700m long in this map you will find abandon building, wrecked settlements, some old antiques. Thanks for reading please leave a reply!

  15. i just watched some videos of Project Zomboid online and first off i have to say AWESOME! I noticed that the chat could only be read if you where near the person chatting and that is a good idea. but shouldn't it also make noise like hitting the q button in single player? mabey if someone uses caps people can see it from farther away but it attracts zombies also? i have been following this game since forever and am so glad to see how far it has come!
  16. Hey guys! We at Toast Mobile have been working on a game called Endeavor. It's a voxel-based MMO that's been in development for the past few months. Check out our development blog for further updates on the game! http://endeavorgame.blogspot.com/
  17. http://www.monstermmorpg.com Hello everyone. This is Furkan Gözükara from Turkey. I am the only developer & owner of browser based mmorpg game Monster MMORPG. I am a Master of Science (M.Sc.) Computer Engineer. Currently studying Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cukurova University. I am using ASP.net & C# to develop my game. At this thread I will share information about my game and also continuously post the official updates. Monster MMORPG was started as a browser based Pokémon MMORPG game. It was me and my 2 other friends graduation project from our Bachelor of Science. My other 2 friends gave up working on the game after we graduated in 2009. PokemonCraft became quite popular. Alexa rank top 100k, about 20k visitors per day with more than 3 million page views per day. In 2011 Nintendo lawyer send DMCA to shut down game. I still don't know why since there are like 30 other Pokémon MMORPG game. Anyway i didn't let my game get wasted so decided to convert it into a full scale Monster MMORPG game similar to Pokémon games. If you know how to play generation 3 Pokémon games, you will find this game very easy to play. I am collecting monsters from DeviantArt artists. Asking their permission to use at my game. So i have very mixed style of monsters. I have private software to automatically compose features of new monsters, assign them on maps. Each week i am able to re-assign all monsters, NPC trainers on maps and add countless new monsters. If you consider about composing a Pokémon move list, you can understand how hard task is this. I will post screenshots at the bottom of this thread. Currently (22.07.2013) we have 1,751 pets (Monster, Fake Pokémon, Fakemon) from 45 different artists. You can see all of them on our MonsterDex page. MonsterDex : http://www.monstermmorpg.com/MonsterDex Here several different style monsters from each class: Ancient, Legendary, Zenith, Emissary, Starter, Superior, Regular We have 7 class of Monsters. Stats changes between 213-999. Our monsters gets their moves by a special software that i designed from over 3,000 unique moves pool. Currently our experienced players are working on a new assignment mechanic and processing each moves manually to reduce move number and improve assignment process. Here our 1080p game-play tutorial video. It is totally in game footage. Only the entrance has special effects. You will not get bored while watching the tutorial video since I used pretty good musics. We have 18 elemental types. You can see type chart here. Game is composed by 19 different zones. Including every elemental type and 1 extra mixed type. Game zones can be seen here. Each zone has a 1 monster arena and you can gain 1 badge from those arenas. Also in order to navigate between zones, you have to defeat zone guard. Game has over 1,000 NPC trainers. You can battle only 1 time per day with these NPC trainers. NPC trainers gives items as reward and extra Gold and EXP. Game has total 520 unique maps. All professionally designed. Game maps can be seen here. Here several different elemental types of game maps. Since we are similar to Pokemon we have ability system. But in our system each captured pet can have 3 abilities from their ability pool. These abilities are assigned each time when a monster captured and they are permanent. At each monster details page you can see ability pools. Also our ability list can be seen here. All fully working. We also have natures like in Pokemon. But our natures affects all 6 stats and we have over 100 different natures. Natures list can be seen here. How to play tutorial with images and text can be seen here. We also provide a fully working stat calculator tool. You can load your captured monsters and play around with the values. As can be seen there we have UV and TP values. If we compare with Pokemon UV values are like IV values and TP values are like EV values. But of course still different to not violate any copyrights. Click here to play with stat calculator. What makes our game pretty different than most of the other games, we keep individual data of each captured monster. This provides us great features such as you can name your captured pet, your captured can have individual values, held item, and different characteristics. Our Monster characteristics can be seen here. Each captured monster get 3 traits. All of our monsters can be seen as 120 pixel thumbnails on this page. Page contains a lot of filtering features. We have a fully working advanced market system. Our market supports buy, sell items both from NPC and other players. Buy, sell monsters among players. Trade monsters among players. Once again our market system has a lot of filtering features which makes it pretty useful for players. Also game has over 180 items and the move items. Move items are called as MTs like TMs in Pokemon. Items are AI Item, Battle Item, Health Item, Held Item, Main Item, Monster Box, MT Item, Transformation Item. Itemdex is not available yet. Game banners and logos can be seen here. Game profile avatars can be seen at here. Registration process is really easy to game. You need to provide a valid email address, select a starting monster, select your over-world sprite, type your password and username then you are ready to play after clicking activation link that is sent to your inbox (check spam-box if you don't receive email). You can also request multiple activation emails if it didn't arrive. You can register the game here. We also have a dedicated MYBB forum for the game. I am also fan of a preventing cheating. I rather prevent it than banning cheaters. Banning cheaters only leads some cheaters to get away. For this reason, we have special game mechanics that requires very advanced special software for cheating also in-game coded Captcha question that doesn't bother real player but kill cheating. We also have a special coded chat screen integrated to the game. Chat screen has multiple language channels so you can chat in your own language. Game also has a perfectly working live PvP battle system. You can battle with your friends only and live. So what future plans do i have ? * Complete redesign of the game that will run faster, smoother and look a lot better. * Guild/Clan system: A pretty advanced one with lots of great futures * Live PvP tournaments: Private player composed tournaments may also be possible with special conditions * Live PvP maps * PvP points and ranking system Game is hosted on a special deal dedicated server. So we are the only one that uses this server. Server features are as follows: 32 GB Ram memory Intel Xeon E3-1270 2x sata 3 - 256 GB SSD as raid 1 - for security reasons 1x 500 gb sata 2 for storage I have a special software that updates all users ranks and statistics everyday, also optimize database and takes full backup. Game is listed, reviewed on the following authority game related sites. But most of them are outdated unfortunately. http://www.gamespot.com/monstermmorpg/ http://www.ign.com/wikis/monster-mmorpg http://www.joystiq.com/2012/03/23/the-joystiq-indie-pitch-monster-mmorpg/ http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/731/MonsterMMORPG.html http://www.mmorpg.com/blogs/MonsterMMORPG http://www.indiedb.com/games/monstermmorpg/ http://monster-mmorpg.browsergamez.com http://mmohuts.com/browser-games/monster-mmorpg http://www.onrpg.com/games/monstermmorpg/ http://www.whatmmorpg.com/review/monster-mmorpg.php http://www.crunchbase.com/company/monstermmorpg http://freewebgame360.blogspot.com/2013/06/monster-mmorpg-review.html Our biggest problem right now is the HTML structure of the website and the UI. I started this project as a total rookie programmer and it grew and grew. So now i need a whole recode. I am in a search of web designer to get him/her design site beautifully in Photoshop. So i can recode whole site. I am always looking for volunteer artists, contributors. Our credits page has now 75 different contributors. Majority of them are volunteer Deviantart Monster, Fake Pokemon, Fakemon, pet artists. Check our credits page here: http://www.monstermmorpg.com/Credits And finally here the recent screenshots of the game. Thank you very much for reading. Feel free to ask any questions.
