I've been working on a tiny physics puzzle game (two thirds response time, one third brain teaser) for a while now and wanted to hear everyone's thoughts. Here's how it goes: you swing your paddle left and right in order to push the pieces towards the evacuation shafts, gaining some of that precious little time before the play area inevitably spills and it's game over. There are power-ups you can collect, and many other parameters you can tweak. And, of course, there's multiplayer, but only locally for now. Hope you'll give it a try.   5. Hello! We are Far North Entertainment, a group of five based in Sweden. We have been working together for three years and are currently developing our second game, a sandbox game in a post apocalyptic cyberpunk setting where you explore the world and find materials for crafting tools to help you survive against thousands of zombies. We have been working on this project for about four weeks and have taken inspiration from other games such as Terraria, Left4Dead as well as Project Zomboid, which is why I found it fitting that we let you guys know about it. Our intention for the game is to make something similar to Project Zomboid, but rather than attempting the realistic simulation approach PZ is taking, we want to bring a more fast-phased game with a heavy emphasis on co-op and progress "Terraria-style" rather than hardcore survival. We want to build the game together with the community, so what I hope to find from this thread is feedback from you guys so that we can make the game the best it can be. An experiment with neuro-enhancing fungi has gone extremely wrong and unleashed an epidemic, turning the majority of the world’s population into fungi-infested zombies. These abominations are not particularly frightening individually, but when they gather into a horde of thousands, they become terror incarnate! Sound will draw their attention, so use it wisely. Blasting off a shotgun round could prove devastating if you are not prepared for what comes after… Features: Online Co-op Multiplayer: team up with your friends, or go solo if you dare! An open world: explore the world and scavenge it for objects and materials that will help you survive. Crafting: use acquired materials to forge new weapons and armor or modify your existing arsenal. Build your bases: build bases of operations where you will be able to craft, plan your next destination or simply catch your breath in between your encounters with the Infected. Hordes of thousands: thousands of Infected can be simulated on screen at the same time. Make sure you have an escape route or enough ammunition in an encounter, otherwise your death is certain. The gameplay centers around you exploring the world, trying to find and gather materials that can be brought back to your base and be used for crafting tools that will help you survive. Our goal with the Infected is to have a dynamic threat that can create emergent gameplay scenarios where, in one instance a street you cross is completely empty only to be crowded with Infected shortly afterwards, thereby forcing you to plan a different route to circumvent them or try to blast an opening and push through them. This means that communication between you and your friends will be key in order to survive encounters with the Infected. You could have a friend draw the attention of the Infected away from you while you gather resources to take back to the base, or have a friend desperately firing of a shotgun shell, in a small encounter, drawing the attention of a large horde and dooming your entire team. Finally this idea came to live and we’re so excited to share our concepts with you guys. Our first title We Are The Dwarves came out in 2016 and we were super excited to share our work with the community. However, we still had a lack of ways to communicate with players. So now we decided to become even closer and make a community-driven development. So… Introducing our newest project - Deployment! The game is a multiplayer online Top Down Shooter with unique Area Control Mechanics. Deployment is set in an abstract highly technological future, where powerful fractions fight for the only remaining resource - power. We’ve made a short video so you could understand better the whole concept: Click to watch video! You can see the game has quite a competitive focus. Although the core mechanic is dominating the areas by controlling remote level mechanics, which we call Systems. Player takes control over System by capturing the generator. We’ve made a small gif to show you how sweet this thing works: The next cool thing about the game is a Class System. The game has a variable Class System. Classes are designed with different play styles in mind. Player can expand class even more with the Upgrades System, Ability System and Weapon System, which were also designed with variety in mind. We won’t be telling much about Classes, because we plan to launch a special post about them later.   7. Hi guys! Our tight-knit AEL Entertainment team is going to release a new installment of popular saga Happy Empire - A Bouquet for the Princess. We have always enjoyed playing strategies but this time we’ve decided not to kick it off with long-running strategy games but with time-management games. Our game allows you to command workers and princes. Workers collect resources and repair bridges, roads and buildings. The main task for princes is to find flowers for a bouquet to win a princess`s heart. We took into account all the comments and recommendations from players concerning the first installment of Happy Empire saga; we improved CGI and added charismatic characters with a variety of dialogues. We did our best to fill characters` interactions with wit and humor and to build conversations the way you will never be bored.   9. Hello, I'm working on an experimental game called 'Onslaught'. In simple terms it's a Tower Defense game built around real physics. This simple combination allows for some interesting emergent gameplay and scenarios.   16. Hey guys, Dreamteck here (Pepi writing). We are a small indie studio making its first "grown-up" steps in the industry. And we are super excited. I wanted to show you the game we've been working on (yes, it's a Unity game and it draws tons of inspiration from the games with which we grew up.) Viberift is a multiplayer, music-driven, action, arcade game that reimagines some of the classic music-driven game mechanics and puts them in the 3D environment of a fast paced, dog fight-styled gameplay (imagine a not-so-goofy-but-equally-fun Starfox atmosphere + dynamic Afterburner-like gameplay + Beat Hazard/Audiosurf-like game feel - you get Viberift xD). Music The most important choice in Viberift is the choice of music. In the lobby you'll be able to select between playing with the in-game music library or loading your own tracks (or why not just specifying a sound input device like a mic and beatboxing while you play xD). But whatever choice you decide to make you should know that every audio track generates different outcomes in terms of actual gameplay. Viberift's audio analyzer has been designed to "read” any given music track (or sound input) and identify a large amount of its elements. This allows us to create a great variety of weapons, abilities and enemy behaviours, each of them governed by a different frequency band or aspect of the music. Gameplay In Viberift's multiplayer you'll get to test your skills against other people in a set of open-world arenas and in a variety of game modes (in PvP) or you'll be casted against AI-controlled Viborg swarms in massive, cooperative arena battles (in PvE). At a later stage we will be introducing a single player campaign, which follows a female human pilot in her struggle against a self-replicating race of alien robots of death and destruction (it's serious, though). It will guide you through the world of Viberift in a set of levels - each with a specific environment, objectives and enemies. Mechanics In our game we strive to reintroduce some of the classic, for the genre, mechanics, seen through the prism of a music driven-game: - A fluid and generally awesome control system with boost, dodge, flight-plane switch, fake death and other components, some of which - heavily music-driven (ok, I lied about the fake death button because no one on the team likes it but together we can #makefakedeathhappen, right guys? Guys?). - A good variety of ships with different stats, stat limits and visual modifications. - A selection of our finest music-driven weapons, each with its own effects and behaviour. - An in-depth customization system with the possibility to upgrade your ships’ stats, weapons and appearance. - A special ability system with many music-driven abilities (in-game you'll only get to pick one, though, because it's already getting too much for a self-budgeted indie studio) - (And the cherry on the pie:) A super-kick-ass Sonic Mode which you'll get to rarely activate but when you do - you'll be transported to a parallel dimension of magical music-driven rainbows and unicorns and stuffs. So… yeah… It'll be worth the wait. Story The Viborg are a mechanical creatures created by and modeled after a long extinct race of vibrational beings. Their only energy source is mechanical vibration, thus, to survive the soundless vacuum of space, they decompose every piece of matter they come across, feeding upon its vibrations. Shortly before the first attack, the humans manage to replicate some of the Viborg's technology and implement it in a handful of individuals. Thanks to our race's natural ability to make use of higher and more complex organizations of sound, those bio-augmented pilots are able to draw massive amounts of energy from... ehm... their favourite music, becoming far superior fighters than the Viborg. Nonetheless, we are fighting a lost war and our last, lingering hope lies within Vihra. In the coming months we'll be launching a closed beta and soon after - our Steam Greenlight. At first the graphics dont look that good, but during the water scene and the desert scene I think it looked pretty stunning ( besides the overall pretty awesome atmosphere ..... I mean Vivaldi ALWAYS adds something to a great trailer ^^) I really hope the project gets funded ( I will probably back it in a few days).   23. Trouble In The Manor is an online multiplayer arena game! The game is inspired from the Garry's Mod game mode: Trouble In Terrorist Town" and Nintendo's: "Luigi's Mansion". The game consists of many game modes but the main game mode in which the game is built on is called "Murder". In murder you are randomly chosen as either an innocent bystander or a murderer. If you are chosen as a murderer you must attempt to kill every last innocent bystander possible without getting caught! In doing so you can buy multiple items from the shop, including weapons, traps, teleporters, and more. The most unique item being a key to unlock a coffin to unleash a vampire among the building! If you are chosen as an innocent bystander, your main task is to hunt down murderers by looking for clues such as blood trails and DNA and using devices to help track them down. One of the game modes that we are really hoping to do is Capture The Flag! The point of the game mode is simple: attempt to steal the enemies flag without getting killed.
