  1. This issue has been in the game since 41.66 and is possible to recreate in all scenarios, be it vanilla, modded or even a fresh install of the game. The outdoor lamp textures are always grey, even when the lamp is turned on. As far as I'm aware this applies to all the lamps in the game including the street lamps and neon signs which are always desaturated even when turned on. You can see what I mean in the images below: And this is what the textures are supposed to look like when the lamps are turned on (notice the yellowish tint): As for neon signs, the texture is supposed to be more saturated and less transparent when they're turned on: This issue doesn't affect the gameplay as much, other than not letting the player see if a lamp is turned on or off unless right-clicked but I still hope it gets fixed soon anyway because it's been around for a WHILE and still hasn't been fixed even though it does look like an easy fix, but then again, I am not a developer nor a programmer so I wouldn't know.
  2. Hope we can use the simple models for all things like the old version to lower the system requirements. Make the new version run smoother on the vintage machines. This may be provided via "2D style DLC" etc.
  3. It may be just me but I feel that zombies look kinda too "alive" in the newest build. In older version darker and blurred texture were giving them a more terrific appearance. Maybe considering changing a skin color for zombies a tad and making closes appear more dirty / ragged along with making a blood color darker for zombies can be a good idea? Like referencing "The Walking Dead" TV series zombie design for example... I am curious of your thoughts and have you ever been considering this?
  4. Been testing the new 41 update and when I made a new game (no mods) I have found this bug. It only affects walls and windows indoors and seems to change color from green to blue to red seemingly at random. I don't have any idea of what might be causing this bug and have even reinstalled the game but it still hasn't fixed it. If anyone know what this is I would be grateful for some help in fixing it, Thanks
  5. I love this game but I honestly have problems with the graphics. I'm not a graphics obsessed person when it comes to video games but this game gives me a worse headache than minecraft even though PZ is very fun to play, but I always get a headache eventually. I'm playing on the best possible settings the game allows and it still looks blurry and makes me eyes and head hurt from the effort it takes to concentrate on the game. This is also probably already known but my character clips through their own clothing (you can see their underwear and body clip out from their pants and shirt) I feel like the game looks like a mid-2000's java flash game, and don't get me wrong, many of those games were really fun but I strongly feel that the game could use a boost into 2019 since the new year is coming very very soon (we're in december!) (SOON) and I really want the game to just look a bit better. The parts of the game that suffer the most when it comes to graphics are the character models like the player and zombies, and maybe the cars just a little. Basically, anything that moves doesn't look as good as it could or should to be honest with myself and everyone. The buildings and fridge and all that stuff that doesn't move looks fairly good. (also the water like lakes and rivers looks like the freedink smallwood games and it just looks like someone made a blueberry smoothie with soymilk and dumped it on the ground) I really hope for improved graphics because the gameplay is so good that it actually deserves better looks to go with that good gameplay. I hope very sincerely that this very constructive and honest feedback helps indiestone devs and PZ grow and improve in beautiful ways.
  6. Good afternoon. Enough said. I am using Mods (particularly "Hydro Craft") and a Map overhaul, but none of the Furniture or graphics are overwritten by either. That means these shelves are glitching in the Vanilla rendition. The shelves, regardless of how full they are, are always shown to be empty. That means they are missing the Sprites that change the shelf when something is sitting on it. What, if anything, can be done to fix this? Thank you. -TURTLESHROOM
  7. Good evening. Enough said. Although I am using a Custom Map, there are no custom textures that could explain this. (On the Custom Map, the exact area of the buildings with the glitched glass is X13270/Y11195, which is where I took the screenshot.) I feel that this is a texture found in the Vanilla rendition, so it's worth showing. (Note: the glass is still gone when I look straight at it.) Thank you. -TURTLESHROOM
  8. Hi, great update, so, find a litlle visuel bug with corpse Thanks PS : Game come from Build 39
  9. Good evening. Enough said. Thank you for any assistance you may have. -TURTLESHROOM
  10. This is something I've recently noticed, as I upgraded my PC and I'm now sporting a 1920x1080 desktop resolution, and I feel like PZ is wasting a lot of potential by locking itself to 1280xSomethingelse. Is there any Dev-related reason of why we don't have higher resolutions? Or it's just part of that ever-increasing TO-DO list they have somewhere?
  11. Stop me if this has been said but are there plans to fill in the high tension power lines that occupy the empty space that cuts through the map? In the real KY there are two side-by-side power lines and associated towers running through that space. Right now it just looks like a grass river or something. The suggestion is here: maybe someone could do up a powerline tower model or two and just duplicate and fill the space? And maybe they can be dismantled for oodles of metal materials...
  12. Hi guys I've spent 2 days playing and I love this game so I thought I could make something for you so here it is (I'm pasting the URL) http://s5.postimg.org/dy2qet0qv/Zombi_01.jpg
  13. The Problem Seasons and changes in weather patterns in Project Zomboid are currently only noticeable by the player feeling either hot or cold. During the summer/hotter months the player feels hot. During the winter/colder months, the player feels cold. However, there is no graphical indication whatsoever to visually indicate these shifts in seasons and weather. How Can the Game Improve in Respect to this Problem? A system should be implemented that would make the visual environment and temperature of the world change depending on what time of the year (in-game) the player is currently playing in. Ex. Leafless trees, occasional snowfall and snowy grounds during winter.Multicolored leaves floating around and covering the grounds during autumn.Full, leafy trees and bird formations during the summer.More intense storms during the spring, etc. Does it Make Sense for the Game? The game takes place in Fort Knox, Kentucky and the areas surrounding it. This region of the USA would experience such changes in weather and seasons, with the exception of frequent snow, however seasons in KY should still be cleary differentiated. A realistic atmosphere is important for Project Zomboid. An improved weather system would bring the game world to life. Is it worth the time and effort to develop? An improved weather system should give the player new challenges to consider that should be incorporated in a survival game. Weather is something a survivor should always consider. It can mean life or death if it is not properly considered. Snow and heavy rainstorms would slow the play down significantly and could destroy their crops and low-tier structures.Loud thunder and lighting could make the player less noticeable to nearby zombies. [Edit: I think this is already implemented]Winter months would have short days and longer nights, while summer months would be the opposite.Autumn leaves on the ground would cause the player to make significantly more noise while moving.
  14. The Problem Bodies of water are dull and almost unrecognizable as water. They are static, produce no ambient noise and have no glint or shine that differentiates it from the land around it. How Can the Game Improve in Respect to this Problem? Better water textures. Give water a flow and current. Maybe even a subtle shimmer.Waves. No matter what size, waves make bodies of water instantly recognizable.Audio and proximity. Allow players to detect when they are near a body of water by slowly fading in the sound of flowing water . Does it Make Sense for the Game? Bodies of water would become important for the player to be aware of. The sound of flowing water can muffle or block out the sound of an approaching zombie. Trash and useful items would wash up on the shores of rivers and lakes. Is it worth the time and effort to develop? The game seems severely lacking in giving movement and "life" to the game world. More dynamic and visually appealing bodies of water would give the game world more "life" and would also make the player more aware of them.
  15. So the graphics for this game are awesome, and i've noticed there are a lot of graphics which must have taken a ton of time to make. I am making an Isometric game right now, and it is taking forever to hand-draw every single animation, and direction. Are there any programs or methods that are used to shorten this process?
  16. Hey all, I am wondering if there is a way to change the graphics/sprite of an object, such as a barrel or a box, or a bed etc. etc. In the world, NOT the icon, but the object it self in the game world. i know how to change/add an icon of an object that goes in your inventory, but not the physical object in the game world, I've searched the forums, but nothing seems to come up, only tutorials on icons. Any help?
  17. I have a slight problem... I bought Project Zomboid on Desura, and I have it updated to it's most recent version (Alpha and ever since I updated it to the latest version, now on the shaders option in the graphics settings doesn't work like it used to. Before the latest update, I could change the shaders option to the highest shader setting (I don't remember what the highest shader setting was called) and it ran fine. Now, the shader settings is just locked at "Shaders not supported by hardware." I have already checked my video card drivers, and they are all up to date to the latest version. All my other drivers are up to date as well. The only change I have had recently other than the latest game update is that I switched from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 8 Pro, though I think I remember having the shaders issue on Windows 7 after the update. My computer's specifications are definitely adequate to play this game on maxed settings, so I can't think what the problem could be, other than the latest update. Here are my computers specs: GPU: Radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5 CPU: AMD FX-4100 Quad Core 64 bit RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333MHz HDD: 1TB SATA 7200 RPM Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2 Can anyone help me with this?
