  1. Ok so I've been working on a new HTML5/Canvas/JS Game that's compatible for the 3DS Web Browser. I intend to implement dual screen support in the future. Right now it's mostly a Tech Demo so features aren't really added yet, but I wanted to get some feedback about how it functions on other 3DS's before I continue. I do see this hitting other platforms in the future but just working out some game mechanics for the time being. This is all new to me, so bare with the cheezy paint graphics till I am ready to update. I'll post more info on features I plan to add later (unfortunately I think the 3DS version will be more limited than the rest for obvious technical restraints). So, recently FrankieonPC has posted a video showing the official live action trailer for the game called "The Nether", which yet again brings a concept of survival in vast post-apocalyptic environment, with a twist from many successful zombie games that has been on the market already - DayZ, L4D2, The Last of Us... The trailer directly leads us to another video - that one is from the Nether's early footage video, which is also posted as unlisted, so only people from certain link can watch it. (Which is pretty fine, IMO. Whoever is interested - can watch it, while others who are "sick" of zombie games can never even stumble on it). The video shows the MASSIVE open world environment - SKYSCRAPERS followed with SKYSCRAPERS and tall buildings in a tight formation, wrecked, rusty cars, nature partially taking over what originally was it's property. Buildings with thousands windows, just waiting for a potential sniper to notice you and snipe you off for another bag of supplies. What could POSSIBLY go wrong, right guys? RIGHT? Wrong. The game, as shown in early development video, brings the new type of enemies to the table - The Nethers. Those are demonic-like creatures that behave in a similar way to zombies, and are out there to eat your guts. AND IT'S FINE with me, what I do however HATE about it is that they've made them TELEPORT. FREAKING - TELEPORT! Now that you think we've seen enough of bad zombie adaptations that make absolute no sense, or bring any sort of fear whatsoever (but instead - massive amount of frustration), we get this game. It is like taking a VERY FREAKING COOL concept, spend months of work on it and then THROW IT out of the window, let it smear in dirt and crash against the ground in tiny pieces, pick it up and put it back into the game. Teleporting zombies/demons are NOT fun. They aren't just "not scary", they are more like "annoying as HELL". Even the voice who was promoting the game design said something along the lines of "Even if you you've set yourself up on that rooftop and think you're safe - you are NOT. They can teleport, and they are not out there to hug you." At that point I almost turned the video off. I can't stress myself enough over how a game that might potentially be THE BEST post-apocalyptic survival game, joining in lines with games like DayZ, Project Zomboid, State of Decay and the likes, suddenly takes an INSTANT U turn and just goes the wrong way. Rant mode off, please - discuss.
  4. Hi! My name is McCartney, I've been working on my game Sneak Mouse. It was inspired by the game red-light green-light, but with a twist. You must navigate through mazes and solve puzzles all while trying not to be caught! Game Bio: Sneak Mouse is an original game with rules similar to red-light green-light. You take the role of a plump little mouse on a mission to get its cheese. You must navigate through over 100 unique mazes to reach your goal. Oh, and don't get caught! While you're moving through mazes the bad kittie will be trying to catch you. The cat turns around randomly and if you get caught moving, the game is over. Each level gets progressively more and more challenging. The cat will turn faster, and the mazes will become more difficult.There will also be a time limit, so you can challenge yourself and see how fast you can finish!     Flares

    Flares: I just think flares would be a good addition to the game. For example if you are running from a huge horde of zombies and you have no weapons, but a flare. Wouldn't it be cool if you then could throw the flare to draw the attention from you to another place? Be Body types: SCRAPPED When you customize your character, you can choose what body type you want, for example if you choose light and nimble you can run faster, longer and small weapons are most efficient, but when you are attacked you'll loose more health than the bigger body types. If you choose a big body type, you'll be stronger but can't run as fast as the nimble type, nor run as long. And big weapons are most efficient, like a fire axe. If you are hurt by something like a zombie, you'll loose less health than a nimble would do and have a smaller chance of needing a med-kit (A bit like the "thick skinned" trait you get from choosing Construction worker in the customization screen. Change of the game icon: SCRAPPED Sorry, but the circle with red scars on is kind of weird. Something that would be better could be the white zombie standing on top on the "O" and "I" on the logo. The icon looks a bit like a game from 2003, a circle with a gradient and three red scars on it. So, try something with maybe less colors, no gradient and at the same time make people see what type of game this is just by looking at the icon.
  6. Greetings, I just bought PZ on Steam and I am very excited because I wanted to play this game for months. To my surprise though the game crashes after playing for a few minutes. It happens on both Survival and Sandbox, the game suddenly freezes after playing for 10-15 minutes and then closes, without popping up an error message. What can I do to solve this?   8. Hello all! I'm Bideo Wego http://bideowego.com I'm pretty stoked to announce my first game release on Kongregate. I only uploaded it a week ago. Mo Ritmo is a rhythm game for flash player and is completely 100% original and my creation from the art work, music, to the programming. I wrote it in As3 using the flixel framework. And the music was created using FL Studio for those wondering. I've left it completely open to add levels/songs as it downloads them dynamically as well. WIGU stands for 'When I Grow Up' and we are here to explore what you want to be when you grow up, or what you wanted to be when you were growing up. Middle of Nowhere isn't just jumpscare based, nor is it full of action when it's meant to be survival horror. Instead, it's unforgiving to the player and survival is at upmost importance.   14. I am just like you, I like games that provide a unique challenge and build skills I don't normally use. That is why I created Merchant Tycoon. Merchant Tycoon is a very challenging game that is like 4 way realtime chess with a vibrant terrain filled with natural resources, marketplace, and an alliance system. It will force you to use strategies you have never used! Merchant Tycoon is designed to maximize the frequency and complexity of interactions with other HUMAN players. Merchant Tycoon is about negotiating, bartering, and your relationships with other players. From the very beginning to the very end you will be struggling to survive! In merchant tycoon you will likely not have access to all commodities you need to survive and you will need to trade commodities in order to survive. You will experience shortages of all commodities including food, market crashes, war, and monopolies which will all effect the prices of commodities and will need to know how to react in order to survive. When you are in a strong position players are going to ally and gang up on you. When you are weak players are going to snuff you out and take your territories. Players are going to undercut your prices, insult you, and attack you!   15. SO ya, What's That Sound? I am uploading a small sound clip. Identify the object that is making the tinking sound in the beginning. Only one guess per user, don't want to get to overcrowded.. Ahh who cares, post away with multiple guesses. Who ever gets it right gets a cookie.. And I'll post the picture. Edit: *Hint* If you know what fight scene and what movie it is from, keep it to yourself for now. The thing that makes the sound was dropped on the floor.   16. -What is Cantr and who runs it?- Okay, so I posted this on the last forums but since they're gone I decided to repost. Cantr is a society builder, its pure text based, no graphics, ran completely by the community. The forums are open to make suggestions which are put into the game if the community like them and the devs are not paid. The game is ran purely off donations, however, if you choose to donate then you won't get anything out of it except being awesome. The game is free and browser based, it doesn't have any NPC's so every single character you see is an actual person playing it. -Game Rules- The game has no rules except stay in character and don't use glitches or bugs intentionally to gain an unfair advantage in the game, the game is always in development so not all features have been implemented yet. By stay in character I mean in character, you're playing as your character and have no knowledge of the 'real world' that we know, only the knowledge of the world of Cantr and not even that if you never learned it. You can have knowledge of everything that's in the wiki though. -What can I do in the world of Cantr?- Anything, you can be a pirate, a thief, a murderer, a tribal chief, a town mayor, or even the worlds greatest warlord. Literally anything you can think of and the only limitation you have is your imagination. -Cantr is tick based? What does that mean?- That mean that Cantr is ran in ticks, a timer is set for different types of projects and once that project timer ends you will be a certain percentage done with your task, this includes traveling on the roads to other towns. This does cause a huge problem for players who don't factor in that roads are extremely long and without the proper supplies such as an ample supply of food and potentially a weapon you could die before ever reaching another town, the reason is because if you hit another location but it's abandoned and no food around you could starve or if it's abandoned and you have no weapon and another player decides to kill you then you'll be in trouble.. Best bet would be to stay in town until you have the proper supplies (at least food) because I've only had one circumstance of being ambushed by marauders who promptly killed me and took my stuff. I will supply you with a neat little link that tells you all Cantr ticks and it even has a timer, it was provided to us through the community. http://joo.freehostia.com/cantr/ticks/ My suggestion is if you're going to travel, stock up until the ticks for land traveling are down into the seconds and then hit the road, it won't take as long to hit your first tick and thus won't take as long to travel. Also keep in mind that (VEHICLES OF SOME SORT SHORTEN TRAVEL) by how much actually depends on a variety of factors including carry weight that's currently being filled, type of vehicle, type of road, etc. -Other Cantr information- Cantr is a purely role play game, so it has mechanics, basic mechanics like burying dead bodies, an attack button and it can be confusing learning how the interface works so I would suggest checking out the wiki and forum while you're waiting for you account to be verified. The forums has a bunch of helpful tips and a really helpful community, sign up there and in the welcome area ask for some pro-tips to get you started and keep in mind traveling can be boring as it does take a pretty long time, so make sure that if you aren't the patient type you have another character to play or someone traveling with you.. You can have up to 15 characters and as soon as your account is verified you get 2 slots opened, the rest are locked but they open 1 each day that your account is active until you reach a max of 15 open slots. I would suggest starting with 2 characters and playing only two for a while until you feel comfortable you have the time and knowledge to play more than one at a time, otherwise it can get overwhelming as I learned the hard way. The moment you've all been waiting for (and probably most skipped to) here is the Cantr site with all the links you'll need. www.cantr.net If you don't want to read everything I wrote then in short, once you sign up while your account is being processed, sign up to the forums, check out the wiki and ask for some pro-tips on the forums because it can get confusing without some help. Don't be afraid to ask for help on the forums, there's a lot of helpful and nice people who can and will help you with any problem you encounter, some might already be answered so remember to use the search function and have fun!

Nowadays science has gone so far that we can help bees in their difficult life, indirectly helping whole humanity. Bees are human best friends in insect world - they can pollinate plants and produce honey. However they become weaker because of growing human industry. As a scientist working at Cybernetics Science Laboratories you were assigned to research on the bee - YOUR BEE. You have many modules at your disposal that can be installed on your research object, such as: rockets, helicopter rotors, firearms etc., but you can't use it until the bee is not skilled enough. Every module you unlock during gameplay has its own, specific behavior. Find the best combination for a level to achieve the GOLD CELL. There are several worlds - the further your bee goes, the more difficult it becomes: 1. Spring Sprint - do it as fast as you can! 2. Flower Power - collect flower pollen! 3. Hornet Horror - don't let hornets to block your way! 4. Leaf Grief - watch for falling leaves that slow you down! Finishing level will be rewarded with: Nothing - no medal-cell award (fail), but if you fit in time (sufficient), it just unlocks next level and gets you +1 Honey-Money. • Bronze Cell - satisfactory. Additional reward: +5 Honey-Money. •• Silver Cell - good. Additional reward: +25 Honey-Money. ••• Gold Cell - very good. Killing it will cost you -10 points. • Hornet - natural bee enemy that attacks nearly spotted bees. Avoid it, because it can block you for good. Killing it will get you +10 points. • Flower - a colorful point of life of bees. Collecting it will get you score dependant on petal count: 5 petals = +50 points, 10 petals = +100 points • Crate - random pickups (fuel, bullets etc.) falling out of dead hornets. You can get it only by killing an enemy, but not every time because of its limited probability.
