  1. Hi, I wanted to report a crash I've had twice while playing for the first time (I knew it was an unstable version but B42 is Apple Silicon native so that's the way I can actually play lol). I'm not quite sure as to what's the cause of the crash since it happened at apparently random in two different places in two different situations. The first I was at my starter home and I was dumping my inventory on the floor, and I can't remember which item it was but the game froze for a minute around 3/4 of the progress bar to dropping the thing, as I went to kill the app (which MacOS reported as "Not responding") the game unfroze for some reason as if nothing happened. I played for a few minutes more and then went to sleep (irl). This morning I picked up the game again and I was looting a house and killed a few zeds and while inside the house I heard an alarm in the distance, and then the game crashed to desktop. Maybe unrelated but I'm running the game from an external SSD, I'm running MacOS 15.4.1 on a MacBook Air M1 with 7 GPU cores and 8 GB of RAM I'm not sure what might be the cause, but hopefully the logs contain some files to help you fix whatever the issue is.   2. Whenever I start the game (either in B41 or B42) the game just 'quit's (like no crash pop up message or anything) just quits like you'd Alt F4. This usually happens after the logos during loading are shown. I've tried everything from updating my bios, to downclocking my CPU, clean reinstall, ... literally everything and the game still doesn't wanna run. Is there anything left I can try or am I dependant on getting a new CPU? I feel this is a big issue relating to Intel CPU's (13 and 14th gen, mine is a i7 14k). Oh and here are my specs: CPU: Intel i7 14k GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070 32 GB of DDR5 Ram 200GB+ free on my game SSD, 50GB+ free on my C drive (important windows stuff) Windows 11 BIOS is up to date (ASUS Prime Z790-P WiFi Motherboard) --> I put logs in this message. hs_err_pid2640.log console.txt

  5. Hello! I have been playing this game for a while now and never had this problem before, even with my old 4gb vram potato PC. But now that i have upgraded to 8gb vram this problem started happening: i was playing now and it was all fine, but recently i created a character and it spawned in foggy weather. While indoors it was fine, but as soon as i go outside of the house and zoom out during the fog my whole PC crashes. The monitor goes black, lights from the mouse and keyboard turns off then only my PSU fan keeps spinning and i have to restart the PC by turning it off and on through the power button. It happens in other games too when something too demanding happens, but in the case of Zomboid, the game runs flawlessly to me and there is no major FPS drop, yet the crash still happens. What could be causing this? It can't be overheating as i monitor the temperatures of CPU and GPU and they're all cool as heck during play. My setup: RX 6600 R5 2600 16GB RAM 500W PSU

Other game sub-systems also appear unstable / broken after the "recovery", which generally makes it preferable to just reload the pre-crash save instead of the "recovered" one. Mode: [Singleplayer] Server settings: [N/A] Mods: [None] Save: [New Save] Reproduction steps: I experienced this bug/crash in 42.6.0 and in 42.5.1 version in modless new saves so is not possible to reproduce. Many times in new saves game crashed and returned in main screen while driving with different vehicles . I am posting files after exited the game when crash happened.   9. I don't know exactly what is happening, but since the last update, i've been getting a lot of crashes in the game. Specially when driving. Seems like it have something to do with carwrecks, since most of the crashes happens when walking/driving close to them. Anyone having the same problems? Any solution? I have a mod list and I'm sure there is a problem with it as it crashes on the loading screen just before you click start. im sure it is a mod issue because the game works fine without them but because there are quite a few mods I don't really want to spend hours turning them on and off until I find the problem so I will post my log. Hi, I have always played without any kind of problem, however since I purchased the Blue Yeti microphone about a week ago (and I also use it as an audio output device with my headphones) it happened to me that the audio inside the game exploded. Let me explain better: after about half an hour or an hour of playing I hear a small 'pop' and then after about 2-5 minutes the audio explodes in the headphones as if it were the white sound of an old, untuned television. This "explosion" changes the volume of the game much higher and alters all other sounds. I discovered that the sound that explodes is the music because by lowering it completely from the settings the 'white noise' disappears but I can no longer play because, as I wrote, this "explosion" alters everything else. Do you think it could be some sort of incompatibility with the device I use? If I connect headphones to the PC's audio output I don't have any problems. Thanks

Check the white car nearby to see if it's in good condition. 4. Go back to the house, clear the broken glass from the window she broke, and go in. 5. Fight the zombie. 6. Turn off the lights. First the one by the door, and then the one by the sink. 7. Go to the cabinets by the oven and open the loot table. The game then freezes for a few seconds before crashing to the desktop. Coordinates: 10820 x 10404 x 0 Also, I was playing in windowed mode, with the steam overlay enabled, and I think I had blender running in the background. The first one that came up when I went back to it in debug mode was the cupboard above the sink, and that just had a bread knife and a spoon in it. I found what YanaMD asked for in my last post, and uploaded the console.txt file, but that was while I was in the process of rebooting the game with debug mode disabled. While crouched, go out the back door, turn off the porch light, and go back inside. 3. Go in the laundry closet and check the inventory of the dryer. (It might have been a washing machine. Also, loading the game again later, the washing machine/dryer was empty. I don't know if it was empty before the crash or not. I would post a screenshot and my log file, but something's going wrong with my post attachments. Telling me that I have no post attachments, that I've used up all of the space for attachments, and that the two things I've attached in the past can't be found, and therefore can't be deleted to make space.

  19. Hello fellow Forum Members! I bought Project Zomboid 2 days ago and now I downloaded it and pressed start. After Steam said that the game is launching it said " X Stop" for 2 seconds before closing without even opening the game window. I already tried reinstalling and verifying 2 times as well as trying "novoip" and "noaudio". I already restarted my PC, updated Java, checked for new drivers and the 2nd startup option didn't work either. Startup as Admin didn't work.   22. My game started to crash after the update so i cannot launch the game anymore. It crashes instantly the game tries to open itself. I think i've tried every little bit of method to fix it but it didnt work. Here's what i've tried so far: -Tried the alternate launch -Uninstalled my mods -Deleted my save files -Checked file integrity on steam -Reinstalled the whole game from scratch *I also tried choosing legacy41.65 from betas on launch options in the steam menu, i was able to get into the main menu but the game crashed again when i tried to enter my SP save file. (I tried this first when i havent uninstalled the mods yet) Before this update, yesterday, i was able to play the game perfectly fine. This update just broke everything for me.   24. Hello, We've faced a critical and fatal bug on our dedicated server that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. If you attempt to react to any message sent by the Discord bridge service found on the servers, it'll crash the server instantly. The server logs somehow got deleted after restarting it (looked on all the backups, nothing there) but we had the same reaction appear on logs with a message similar to "Contact developer..." and "reaction javacord" errors.
  25. I have many mods installed. Most if not all of them are updated and I've tried, with my limited knowledge, to diagnose the issue but I am new to the game and modding of it. The Problem: When playing, for the most part, the game is stable even with the plethora of mods I have installed. The issue I face is when I right-click in the health tab to bandage/unbandage/disinfect a wound. The game freezes and it's a 50/50 chance that it will crash and reset the entire cell for some reason. This will reset ALL of the loot, and ALL of the Zeds, and EVEYTHING may change as well (i.e. I had 3 survivor jeeps from a mod spawn blocking in my vehicle inside of a MASSIVE horde by horde alpha... kinda died.) Not sure what's going on. Steps I've tried to fix the problem: A. Removed ALL mods - This seemed to work. B. Going through the Console.txt - I don't exactly understand what I'm looking at. C. Removing and trying different combinations of mods to try and find the specific culprit - It seems that the problem is there if there are ANY mods installed. D. Uninstalled and Reinstalled the game - No Change except as stated above with the "Removed all mods" E. Tried to verify the game files - No Change. F. Strategically removed all mod files from my computer the old fashioned way (Through the file system) AFTER a proper uninstall of the mods via the workshop. G. Coming here to ask someone with a better understanding than myself - You are currently here with me. Is there another step I could have tried? I don't wish to play without mods as I'm sure most players don't but I'm not understanding what the problem might be. I have included the console.txt for your consideration. Please and thank you for any suggestions and help. I am NOT married to any of these mods but I've found that they add some of the parts that I felt my playthroughs are missing. If there are better or more stable mods that perform similar functions please leave those suggestions too.
