  2. Hey everyone! My names Rocksfaux and I'm just posting here to make everyone aware we are looking for more people to turn our co-op host session for our streams on twitch into a public server. Ideally more people who wish to help us secure a area to turn into a community or even other groups to commence trade within our discord at first and see if its viable commiting to a server. It will be a modded server to aid in QOL improvements and such. Our discord can be found here: https://discord.gg/Rwhx2VMQ Or add myself on steam: https://steamcommunity.com/id/nickyarocks Or even twitch if you just want to get a glimpse first before commiting: https://www.twitch.tv/rocksfaux Thanks for reading and hope to speak soon!
  3. Me and a friend have thinking they should port this game to consoles. I think it would be great for a port since my friend has an Xbox One and me too. He does not have a pc to play this game on. Also since there is already controller support for the game then i thought why not put this game on consoles? But i think it's just more work for the devs and that's why it's more of a 'to bother' suggestion. Just had this suggestion in mind ever since i started playing this game by my own on my pc. I'd say i'd be great to see it maybe this year, or after the huge updates they've planned (animes, npc, etc...) comes out. Thank you for you time reading this, i just wanted to suggest it and get it out of my mind.
  4. I've been attempting to get a basic server running for about 5 hours now. I've tried using the in game hosting option and inviting another player to join me (I've also had the player in question try to click on my username and join me that way). However, they are unable to do so even after I send an invitation. The server, among other things, kicked her out due to "files not matching the server's [settings/files/something]" So there's that faint glimmer of hope right before being kicked in the balls. So here's my question guys. Can you guys end my nightmare? Can you show me how to use the Project Zomboid game through the Host option to actually start a server where other players can join. The Host option in game, I would imagine, was put there to make things easier and not horribly frustrating. To add insult to injury, the player trying to join my server is connected to my Wi-Fi which should in theory make the process easier as we're on the exact same network. If I had hair to pull out, I would have been pulling it out the past 4 hours. No tutorials or guides have worked and most content I find is from 2014 or 2015 which does not help me in 2016 running version 34.28 I've tried making it public, removing passwords, everything. My firewall indicates that the 16261 port is in fact open. While my Xfinity account is actually preventing me from opening that port because... screw my life I guess. So can anyone, please, please, please, tell me how to simply Host a server using the Project Zomboid game's Host option. I imagine it was put there to make things easy but it's been nothing but four hour headache and a waste of money for the other player who purchased the game exclusively to play with me Co-Op/Server. Thank you so much in advance. I love this game and it kills me that I can't enjoy it with my friends. Warmest Regards Sean / Flaros

  6. Hi guys Firstly I love this game I got it way back before it was on Desura and played it a bit then left it for a while came back when it went on Desura and now on Steam. One of my fave games. However I am dying for the co-op or multiplayer to come out, I play alot of co-op games with my partner and friends and I tell them all about this game but they would rather play co-op. So why not do a kickstart to get the game into multiplayer/ co-op I would support it!!
  7. First I'll give a little context to this idea, me and my friend were considering some split-screen action when he was like 'if only you could have a monitor per player' as he has two screens. Obviously this would be great and make the experience more enjoyable for those who aren't particularly fond of having a small box out of the entire screen as their view. Now I can understand if it proves complicated, it isn't even possible or there isn't that many people it will benefit but there are good things like making PZ one of the only games to do this. It was just a thought that would make things better for those with multiple monitors. It takes your idea of bringing back local co-op a bit further I guess.
