  1. Trying to "place" an item from my backpack will turn them into wooden framed mirrors. Not just a visual glitch, I can actually place the mirror even though I don't have any on my character. Placing items from my main inventory works fine. Tested it with a few different items, all of them turned into mirrors..
  2. Rather self explanatory in attachments. Only equippable after putting in left hand then right clicking and equipping on both. It wasn't caused by any mods too, since I don't got any on. It's quite gamebreaking since when you need to re-equip a certain weapon (and it's two handed) then you might be screwed.
  3. So I’d like to start off by saying that this update singlehandedly restores my desire to play this game, and it was definitely a breath of fresh air that this game needed. The new combat is beautiful, the sneaking is engaging and equally terrifying, the new clothing/armor system has me dressing up according to the situation, taking into account weight, cleanliness, and speed modifiers. I find myself taking things slow and choosing to jog on a worst case scenario as the first time I fell over while sprinting nearly cost me my life. That being said, no new system is without its...kinks. *Toreador March intensifies* Anyway, these were the things I found during my two days of playing. This is on a fresh install of Project Zomboid that was booted up in build 40 once, then booted in build 41 from then on. (Pictures included were taken on my phone as my internet is limited and I wanted to conserve) The Health system. I started a game on the Descending Fog challenge and immediately knew something was wrong. After escaping from an army of zombies, my character was hypothermic and declining in health fast. He passed out in a warehouse and woke up sick, nauseous, miserable, anxious, and panicking constantly. But most of all, he was at Terminal Injury for TWO whole days, and I was able to bring myself from being a literal corpse to full health after what should’ve been total, complete, and utter death. I also noticed that a laceration on my arm wouldn’t or couldn’t let me bandage (saying it was already bandaged) it but soon went away on its own despite the fact that it went uncovered and my clothing was both bloody and wet. I managed to cheat all odds and survive by the skin of my teeth when I’m all honesty it felt broken, as by that point I should’ve been a popsicle face down in the dirt. Positioning. With this improved locational damage, I’ve found that with an object in the way or a camera angle being a pixel off makes it impossible to stomp zombies, let alone trying to stomp them in the head. It’s a minor issue considering I’m now killing zombies before they collapse to the ground (heroic garden fork charge for the win), but if I’m unarmed, it’s a little fuming when I’m attempting to stomp a downed zombie and receive that ‘clunk’ of foot against floor, and then they get a free itch on my ankle as they flop onto their stomachs at superhuman speed. Another positioning issue is whenever I try to empty an object into a container. My character can and WILL find every moment to turn away from a container when I try to stash something and when it happens, my character decides to abandon the rest of her queued actions. That’s not to say her stupidity is accurate, being a recreation of me, but it feels like a notable issue. Error Messages The command console that opens in the background of Project Zomboid has always been something I admired cause it allowed me to see things like Error messages or stack tracing or whatever computer lingo I’d normally have to find a vague log of in AppData. With that being said, occasionally a massive wall of error messages appears out of nowhere noting things like missing textures and objects (generally flora-based or clutter-based) and also often times, a red counter will appear in the bottom right of my game from 1-7 and cause a massive frame rate drop for a second or two. Odd issue and I felt it worth mentioning. Meta Events There were a few meta events in my time of playing all of which gave me a right scare that caused me and my emotional fragility to burst into tears uncontrollably while I fumbled for my crowbar and M9 pistol. However, looking through my haze of tears I noticed that the dead were generally uninterested with the man screaming bloody murder and were particularly ignorant of the scared barking pooch, the latter of which I’m thankful for. Good poochie. I had Proper Zombies set to on so I’m a little surprised they didn’t find ANY interest in what had happened. So far, I’ve been more than impressed with the update and the problems I encountered did not diminish my gameplay for more than a minute, save for the Cheating Death thing (with screenshots of said terminal condition that I included).
  4. Not sure if this has been reported but after I started looting my third house I notcied that my carry weight was 0/14
  5. While crouching, holding right-click to look around stand you up. no good
  6. Session was being played on Survivor mode, build 41 beta. Had a laceration on my arm and on my leg, was jogging away from a small mob that noticed me, trying to find a safer spot that I could rip my clothing to bandage myself. Decided to move closer to the woods edge, then circle around in between two trees, was jogging with shift. Then suddenly there was a crushing sound, like the one it happens when you get damaged, and boom, my character yelled and death animation happened, then the "dead - high risk of becoming rat food" or something like that showed up as a status. I think I might have bumped onto a tree? Not really sure. I didn't had enough damage, was still into slight I believe, didn't check the health status more than a quick peek after being damaged. Death was instant. The lacerations happened due to a zombie that latched onto me from behind.
  7. In game if you exit the game with your female characters hair untied and the join the game again you can untie the hair from her head rendering her bald
  8. Loving the new update on the test server, i've only encountered one issue. I like to start in Feb. since its my birth month and reasonably its always cold but none of the clothes give off warmth and they all appear blank on the insulation bar: Jackets, Shirts, Sweaters, Jeans etc. none of them worked for the cold.
  9. At first I rebooted and my live character disappeared with all the loot, I appeared as if I had started a new game. Then later in the same conservation he equipped the car with loot, went away to look for fuel, returned and someone stole it !!! (well, or she just disappeared, because I did not find any traces of the wheels) Please, add a report bug button in the game! console.txt logs.zip
  10. It very less, I think it should be 5 or 10
  11. When zombies fall from high places they don't make "fall" animation, they just keep walking into you. in the image you can see upstairs broken doors, the zeds came from there.
  12. Upon running over Zeds/Zombies with a vehicle and zoning away from the potential crawling Zeds/Zombies they appear naked and upon approaching Zed/Zombie suddenly spawn with clothes and crawl. This can be exploited and indicate which Zed/Zombies are corpses or Crawlers. And also killing Zeds/Zombies by vehicle does not count towards Kill count? Thank you
  13. Well my Crowbar has the model of a baseball bat AND I found the vanilla guns, the generic Pistol. Shotgun, Varmint Rifle (don't have a picture of it, I died lol)
  14. Can't clean blood with a towel and a bleach, gives out the error message when doing so.
  15. Once you press the random button, job specific clothing become unavailable until you change jobs back and forth in the skills menu.
  16. It's currently difficult to close a North-East-facing outer door. When you exit, the tiles behind black out, making the door unclickable. Turning around doesn't immediately make the door visible again. The only way to then close the door is to walk towards the open space where the door should be and click it before you get too close.
  17. My character keeps getting colder and colder but he has full clothes, and it's not that cold outside but he is the freezing, and he is fully dressed while in a house... so my guess that is a bug? (Sorry first bug report so I had to make an account and stuff because of said bug lol)
  18. my game does no start when i try to play in the "this is how you die" or when i just enter to the game and try to move the character the game just goes blank and says "project zomboid does not respond" what can i do
  19. Good morning. I am filing a bug report for the following issue: As you can see in the attached image, for some reason, when I use the "PICK UP" command for a church pew, the pew makes a shadow to its right (if the left is touched) and vice-versa (if the right is touched) and, despite saying I can lift the pew, clicking on it yields no results. I tried multiple pews in the church, and all of them do this odd glitch. What do you think is happening? Is there a means to rectify it? Thank you. -TURTLESHROOM
  20. EDIT: Found fix for this issue! My friend turned off 'Double size textures' option, we restarted the game and when we entered the server he could see snow on ground as well Hi, I am hosting a P2P server for my friend and I (version 40.43). When it snows we both see snow falling and trees being covered in it BUT only I can see the snow covering the ground, he can't. For him the ground looks normal. Could it be because of a certain setting, or is this a bug? He has tried disconnecting and connecting back again. We even tried restarting the server and turning Post-processing on and off. Still nothing. Also, when we are indoors we can see the rain/snow falling outside even though we're not watching trough the windows at that time. It feels like we're on a spaceship, flying trough the stars, kinda messes up with our eyesight, making us dizzy.
  21. Hello everyone. A mod I wrote allows players to sew upgraded hiking bags using existing hiking bags. I've found a bug where if one of the hiking bags used to make the upgraded version is equipped on the player's back, the resulting backpack is unequipped, and the player no longer has an option to equip anything on his/her back, as if the original bag is still equipped. There are no options to unequip, as the game thinks nothing is equipped. The resulting bag (and any others) can only be equipped as primary and secondary. The only solution is starting a new game. I've just tested again, and this issue does not occur when the bag is equipped as primary and secondary, only when it is equipped on the player's back. Here is the code I used for the upgraded bag, and for creating the recipe: item SmallUpgradedHikingBag { WeightReduction = 85, Weight = 0.6, Type = Container, Capacity = 27, DisplayName = Small Upgraded Hiking Bag, Icon = SmallUpgradedHikingBag, CanBeEquipped = Back, OpenSound = PZ_OpenBag, CloseSound = PZ_CloseBag, PutInSound = PZ_PutInBag, } recipe Make Small Upgraded Hiking Bag { keep Needle, keep Scissors, Thread=2, NormalHikingBag=2, Result:SmallUpgradedHikingBag, Time:250.0 } Has anyone seen or been able to fix this? What am I missing? Sorry if this has already been covered. I've tried searching but couldn't find anything related. Thanks in advance!
  22. quite simply put, i found a light switch that should be part of a section of the living room, but instead its in the washroom, thus giving the washroom 2 light switches and a permanent light in the living room near the backdoor https://map.projectzomboid.com/?#0.718883258923851,0.2483100986760063,418.96425128510725
  23. Hi, the red BBQ can be lit only with magazines and newspapers, it should accept the same items as the campfire, right? I would like to fix it myself, what file I have to modify to fix this? Thanks
  24. Enabling Normal/Hardcore reloading causes XP gain for reloading pistols to occur when inserting the magazine. Additionally, the magazine can be ejected/inserted repeatedly for continued XP gain without using any ammo. Despite this, XP gain appears to only be 0.33 per eject/insert cycle which is laughable. If the pistol were to be used realistically (let's assume you average half a clip before reloading) you would have fired 1710 rounds before finishing THE FIRST LEVEL. (And this is with Fast Learner) This is especially problematic as the "Reload" keybinding only ejects/inserts the magazine, making it extremely cumbersome to try to maximize XP gain without making use of what is clearly an exploit. Additionally, the fact that Hardcore in particular drastically increases the reload time for a pistol just makes the reloading skill that much more important when compared to the easier difficulties. An Easy difficulty player can trivially reload after each shot, allowing them to gain reloading XP when it is not really needed, while a Hardcore difficulty player can not. Using a shotgun should not be 7-15 times more efficient for training reloading, and players using pistols with Reload Difficulty set to Hardcore should not feel like they have to engage in meta behavior in order to raise their reloading skill.
