  1. Hello, first of all, I am Legoland99 from the forums, creator of many custom buildings. I am planning on making a map, and need your help for that. I am wondering what kind of maps the community would like to see and play: a) A small City complete with suburbs, parks and such. A lot of undead. b) A wasteland type kind of environment with lots of burnt wreckages, half buried buildings, towns, bunkers, scarce resources and hordes of zombies. c) An overgrown game world after the apocalypse, with houses, buildings, gas stations, towns and other areas covered by greenery and ransacked. Scarce resources, high value areas with items such as nails, saws, car pieces or even guns. Car spawns are extremely rare and most of them are broken and require skills to repair them. Your chance to rebuilt society to an extent and make it yours. Most likely the c) map I would work on but I don't mind ideas, I can very well implement all of the maps into one, or compromise. Please share your ideas for buildings, areas and maps you would like to see.
  2. Hey guys, marked the 200 buildings anniversary that I made with this nice family sized Nuclear Bunker. It has 2 decontamination rooms, a common area, a kitchen, storage, bathroom, small armory, small medical supplies room, two shared bedrooms (F and M sleep in different rooms) and a storage room with food and freezers. It has a vent that goes outside, you can probably see it in the pictures. All is furnished and done, and yes, even the light switches are there, it's just that they are a bit hidden from view Hope you all enjoy my work for the upcoming Union City map !
  3. Okay, since I haven't seen anyone post a suggestion like this here I'm posting mine. First off, I know multiplayer modding in PZ is not yet quite fully functional because of its possibilty in cheating the game and the server... Anyways, I've just started abit of learning modding PZ and I've been thinking.. I noticed that the main problem in PZ multiplayer modding is its protection right? you can't call all of the function from the client's side and it only reads from the serverside, but what if its possible to do it.. similarly the way MineCraft's Forge modloader works (no idea copyright intended, lol) the client must same mods as the server for it to be able to join, the server modloader checks the joining client's mod files and verifys them, also checks the codes and stuff inside a mod folder?? The server checks a joining client for any active mods it has, if the server doesn't have that mod or doesn't match a mod, it deactivates the mods from the joining client...or possibly the server download its files to the client replacing and files or maybe just kicking the client if it has unmatched or extra files from the client's detected mods. also, before joining a server it show all the mods being used currently. thats all I can suggestion as of now, please if anyone is gonna post a reply, please just use creative or construction replies and critism about my idea/suggestion... PS: Sorry if I had any bad spellings or if my English is bad, my language is not purely English.
  4. I had this in the back of my mind for a long time but never decided to suggest it, until I posted on another suggestion today which sparked it up. I hate making TWD suggestions but I do think this should be added one way or another. The suggestion: It's basically to add more stuff looking like people rushed away from the place, maybe knocking down chairs, maybe someones oven was still on, plates could be broken on the floors of some houses. Stuff like that would add a lot to the game and make it feel more realistic in the sense no one cares anymore. Tables could be overturned, some cupboards could be open (seen-in game) canned food could be found on the floor, broken plates and knives could be on counter-tops. As far as the game can handle, is as far as I would hope you guys could go. I know that there is plans for abandoned buildings to be implemented but sheets and barricades is very little in terms of making it feel like an apocalypse and it starting to show. It could be randomly generated per building. Maybe the Sadistic AI director could make it slowly happen the longer you survive. Currently in the game every interior looks intact and is untouched, which shouldn't be the case when surviving long-term. I'm pretty sure the game starts straight after the apocalypse begins, so at that point there shouldn't be too many houses looking run-down but after a while it would begin to show. I know that you are considering implementing something like the erosion mod in the vanilla game so I think this would be a welcome part of it. Every building should have it, except the ones that are used more, they should look a bit more intact but with a mess here and there. Here's a few pics of something I'd like them to look like, eventually getting really bad if they were completely abandoned. (Had to link them) Just examples, individual rooms' look and stuff could be taken from these examples. This would look like some of the early houses you'd encounter: http://gyazo.com/2b871a403b395c30e766416eedb298e0 This would be further in maybe a few months: http://gyazo.com/7bb7299e875d0273c2086ee49568f758 And this could be in to almost the year long mark, which would eventually start combining the above: http://gyazo.com/1e78dbbc19b990767f99694b5a6db764 It could be activated when virtual AI's are near the houses and aren't setting up any bases. There could be 40 or 50 presets (or more considering the map size) for every house type so it wouldn't get very repetitive. It could also be hazardous to your character if he/she were living in conditions like those. Thanks for your time and I hope this is a welcome suggestion and can be implemented. I would be severely disappointed honestly. Bug squashing first, this is way down the line. Thanks.

  6. http://innawoods.net/ This site is awesome, it let's you build your own survival gear setup, from weapons and pouches, to small appliances and whatnot. It's still in it's early state, but I have already spend hours building guys for different scenarios. Here is my zombie survivalist for cold regions.:
  7. Bit of a sudden one, just popped into my mind right now. I was thinking that, as time goes by the world will become more and more apocalyptic, think about I Am Legend, with the lack of maintenance the roads and buildings would become overgrown, buildings would become more and more derelict, etc. We already have the 'decay' system in place for zombies (I believe they get weaker and slower after some time), and also food rots. I just think that as a very slow change this could be really cool. I don't know how hard this would be to implement, but even something such as changing textures after a few months, then continuing to do this until we reach the 'overgrown derelict apocalypse worthy' stage, it would be pretty awesome. Just a quick one, let me know what you think
