  2. A fire resistance could be a great addition and increase hp by 5-8 times. Imo the problem is how much effort you need to build 1 metal wall compare to 1 log wall.
  3. No problem But from a selling point etc. In The walking Dead universe after 3-4y groups use blacksmithing, forges etc. For many customers it can be "just like in TWD" I agree that building forge from day1 is a bit silly but perhapse lvl 7-10 to start is a good way for some end game stuff

  5. Sorry Enigma but I dont buy "its not realistic" when we talk about metalworking. PZ have a way more unrealistic things in than this. How in 1993 anyone would be able to choop a tree with stone and branch just to point one. The big problem of PZ profession system is that a lot of them are usless. Why would anyone pick fisherman, farmer or chief if the benefits you get are close to none. When RJ added compost I hoped that farmer will be interesting pick, but it requires carpentry skill only. Jars and lids were introduced, oh cool its good to be chief now ! Wrong, everyone can use that and before you find all that jars lids etc your bags will be full of canned food. Now we have metalworking that is a poor version of carpentry. But you have less options for building and mats are way harder to get. I love PZ but it hurts when i see that devs are spending time on implementing those things that most of us never use. There are some balance problems with current skill system.

    For once I have high hopes, we wont see them (vehicles) in months / years but General Arcade have good speed and im sure MP will be improverd by them soon. Less lagging, Less black borders. Just look how much they have done, Steam integration, EZ Co-op, VoiP !! Perhapse vehicles wont be another thing to add to "No ETA / when its Done Bag"
  7. few issues I had. I still need to reenabled push to talk button whenever i join the server -> join server -> esc -> options -> audion -> pushto talk -> accept -> now it works then global pvp is on keep that red crossed axes on so we can see it. when global pvp is off disable the pvp button. melee pvp is weird -> swing speed vs running speed. perhapse some debuf to run speed after you get hit by other player or let us run and swing (with dmg penalty) 10 people limit for fraction is low. Add some grades among the fraction members and I would tie safehouses with fractions. something like Fraction leader -> havecontrol over everything -> claming safehouse, promoting other members, inviting players officer -> can invite other members member -> average guy but have an acces to safehouse but cant invite other members trial -> can loot conteiners around safehouse, cant invite etc let us claim some area instead of house. This is for salfe-made bases in the wildness.
  8. ok so here is my feedback whenever I join the server i need to re-enable my push to talk button -> then accept -> then I can talk again. The quality is good. Some sounds are to loud (gun fire, storm) you cant hear others when we have thunderstorm or gun fight around. Too many players at the same place creates massive lags -> zombie teleporting -> map not loading etc Even when the server is lagging you can hear other players just fine via voip.

    In this part you are missing the point completely. In EA games you get them as they are NOW, you get discount + a good chance that game become better. Its like investment. Some EA games ( Dead linger anyone?) wont deliver and the only thing you can do is to cry and whine at their forums. The whole " i expected them", "other dev teams", "but game XXX" its just a crap made by guys that dont know what early access means. Now if we look at Pz, they keep updating the game, the give you some info each monday. Yes for my taste they are slow , but I dont whine (that much) as I know I have no right to do so. for 14e I have over 450h of fun and probably much more to come so its good investment.

    Looks like some of you have problem with early access games: Here is a important part from steam store: "Note: This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development" Its nothing new that TIS is rather slow in development. Team sieze, lack of skill dunno and dont care but the important part is that they dont own you anything. The most important part when you buy EA game is "do I like it as it is now". Dont give a shit (or do just a little) about what devs promise you in future. If you read forum etc you will know how often they update the game and what you can expect. They have Free DEMO of build 34 so you have 100% idea how the game looks.
  11. The problem is that the materials for metalworking are finite. Yes you can dismantle a lot of things to get parts but still the amount of metal bars and sheets you need to do simple metal wall is huge. If you compare that to a carpentry and strenght of wooden walls you dont want to spend that much time. Its not that im bashing a new profession, I juat dont see why would anyone want to pick it in SP gam. In MP perhapse but in SP carpentry >>>>> metalworking
  12. R.I.P smelting [*] to sum-up metalowrking its like the carpentry but you can make more durable walls with much harder to get components. But still in the end log wall is the strongest one.
  13. oh its coz the save is on our pc not the server... Cant just some part be stored on server ? like just information dead / alive and last location for player ? so when you log back again the server sen you just if you died during that 10 sec or not ?
  14. Imo 10-15 sec before character vanish is good option. Its not only for pvp but also for zeds. You can log out and wait till your friends drag them away.

Good to see VOiP in IWBUMS, is it the same from last test or you did some changes ?
  18. Fractions were part of small things big change afaik. And once again dev team is small but not that small so they can work on few things at the same time (depends on their skill set). So RJ is not involved in voip, guys that work on voip dont slow down any progress on animations etc.

    Am I the only one who thinks that March is better spawn point than Rosewood ? Rosewood have many unique locations and for that matter imo it fits better for a nice loot place, like the mall. A lot of people will just spawn there just for an easy axe or guns. Without spawn option its a nice place to race for ( multiplayer in mind). People will rage if they see another version without animation update But yea with or without its the biggest build up to date
  20. Not before build 35 come out of iwbums. For most players build 34 is the main one.
  21. But you need a lot of ammo, good aiming skill once you clear one zone you have to clear it from all zeds from adjacent zones (noise). Ammo is still limited. Yes its a good spot, better than police station but still not super OP.
  22. I dont see point in making guns and ammo harder to get as they are not OP. The problem with sledgehammer is thst its easy to destroy things with him. Just make destroying take a lot longer "like 10 times" more and after 1-2 wall sections you are exhausted. Sledge is OP coz you can destroy quite a lot in no time and without much penalty.
  23. Why to block access to guns if we dont use them that much ? They are not OP :-/ A place with a lot of guns and ammo is nice but so is supermarket or pharmacy.
  24. Its quite simple, when you see NPC on a screen hes simulated like normal player so all the AI needs to do is not to get killed. When you dont see NPCs the game will probably just do some simulation. Some stats and skill checks to determinate if loot run was a successful or not, what did he found etc. There is no point in real combat and movement simulation for every NPC in game. As long as you dont see you wont care.
  25. I smell another NPC drama in the air. NPCs are about to do all the stuff that we can, the problem is that some of those things are not implemented yet. There is no point in releasing NPCs if you have to redo some parts of their code because they added new skills, mechanics and animations. The dev team is small so they cant waste so much time on things that get change in future. And dont expect PZ AI to be next skynet. If you look for unpredictable and interesting interactions with other survivors then play multiplayer.
