  1. That's what I thought too.Honestly, as I said on the review, this may very well be the first of its kind. I tried researching to see if there was another one like it but found nothing so far. I could be wrong though xD.
  2. New Indie Game Review (interview with the developer included)! Painters Guild, An art/history sim and management hybrid game History nerd? Art aficionado, specifically renaissance art? Well darnit, look no more for this game brings the two together, giving birth to a beautifully pixelated simulation and management game of artistic proportions. See what I did there? (wags eyebrows) Don’t judge meh! I’m tryin’ to be witty here! link: http://wp.me/p3tkgy-mk
  3. -I'm aliiiive! >_< Haven't published a review for two months due to school then midterms- Particulars Full Break Down Alpha Review Proving that science can be freakin’ fun. Particulars is not only an eyegasm game (see how I had to make up a word just to describe the game?), but it’s also challenging, refreshing, and finger crampingly fun. Requirements: Ninja fingers. This game will test your reflex. Full Review can be found here (contains interview with the developer) http://lexietindiegamerevbdblog.com/2013/11/04/particulars-alpha-breakdown-review/ screenshot:
  4. Oh speaking of that, I was browsing through the comments, and this one person claimed that he got banned by gone home on the steam forum by speaking his opinion on the game. He claims he's been a reviewer for many years and even wrote for big sites (guess that's how he's showing why he felt slighted when he got banned and his accounts removed). The quote is below. I found it interesting, personally I'm not even going to pursue this issue to form my own judgement because we all know how it can be in this industry (heck it's why I started my blog because I wanted to write honestly and with an open mind without any "outside influence" if ya know what I mean; or just by going with the hype) I did however, found this very interesting. I could honestly say though I saw the developers retweeting people standing up for their game and I got disappointed because it looked like they're hiding behind those people. They said they wanted to make a stand, if that was the case, I think they should have let people speak and kept goin on their way, just tweeting positive things that didn't have people defending their game against those who thought otherwise ya know? xD anyway yeah end of rant, here's the quote --> (also what do u guys think about it, just curious) (btw my review/thoughts on the game isn't exactly on the same boat as this person because I also gave credit where its due in terms of how the game was. it's all on my review) "Sboriky 4I don't think that the game deserves his high votes from the "official" reviewers. The game is afflicted by severals issues. But what made me upset about the high score, is the approach that the developers had against me. I've written a couple of thread in the Steam Forum, and the developers banned me and my accounts permanently from their boards, saying that I had some sort of "gay reviewer conspiracy" ideas... excuse me? What is wrong with you? Who would think something like that without any real reason?!I've only stated that the "official" reviews have been superficial omitting a lot of negative aspects of the game, and I consider Gone Home, one of the most overrated game ever. But I haven't said that the game or the development team "suck". I've only stated some objective negative aspects that afflict the game, basing them on my personal gaming knowledge. I've been a reviewer for a national big website, and there are some standards that a reviewer should follow evaluating a game. Why you had to delete my opinion from the official boards? Now you really made me think that there is something strange about those high scores. But hey... That's the way to treat a customer that paid 18 euros for your mediocre game. Good Job guys, that's the perfect way to go.
  5. Yeah the game was short. 2 hours and that's with me pausing every couple minutes to write down notes. . Ya already read my thoughts on it. Some parts I felt bad pointing out but I feel like the readers gta know. Btw =) thanks for reading the review in its entirety~ Also, I was messaged by people who read my review and played the game. They also seem to come to the same conclusion. In terms of graphics, I don't know, I actually think games that aren't in godly 3d graphics but has a great and compelling story makes the game more charming to me you know? But in terms of it being a contributing factor for the price, well...I already know a couple games that are cheaper with the same graphics/better. But who knows -shrugs- >_< I can't say much on here *shakes Xydonus*
  6. =) I made sure there's no spoilers at all. I always stay away from any spoilers on my review. > actually made gone home harder to review *shakes mash potato* So much things I wanted to further explain D:<
  7. =) no I totally understand. Who's youtube didja watch? also, my focus was whether its worth the price yet I also thought it had a good story.
  8. Gone Home Indie Game Review: Is it worth the price? Full breakdown review of the game and my conclusion on whether or not it's worth it's price tag. If you is broke like me and considering the game =) I hope this helps! Review can be found here: http://wp.me/p3tkgy-j5 PS: I humbly thank you in advance for reading my outlook on the game. -bows-
  9. UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who helped make Fran Bow a finished game! They are now fully funded and more!
  10. Latest Review! Another game in need of help with crowdfunding on Kickstarter. If you like puzzle games, you'll like this puzzle/combat hybrid. Waking Amy is a platform puzzle/combat hybrid that takes you inside the imaginative mind of Amy, a young girl who's suffering from a coma. With a unique concept and challenging, yet sometimes infuriating puzzles; this game really deserves to be fully funded. One of the devs of this game gave me an exclusive demo (only medias can get it atm) so that I can do a full breakdown review and help them with their crowdfunding. If you could perhaps check it out (also any form of help from you guys will be appreciated by the developers). Right now I'm gna post this on other sites to hopefully give them more exposure. They're 50% in their kickstart and we got 13 days to meet their goal. The Fran Bow one (the other one I'm helping out) is only $1.4k away from fully funded! So if any of you guys helped, I wna say thank u! Anyway, here ya go. PS: I hope you guys can reshare this http://lexietindiegamerevbdblog.com/2013/08/19/waking-amy-game-review-alpha-currently-on-kickstart-lets-help-this-combatpuzzle-hybrid-out-50-in/
  11. @datkid I knoo right~ and Natasha is soo adorableee Also, just wna thank you guys! Fran Bow reached it's $6k benchmark!!! Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  12. =D thanks everyone! they really need all the help and support. I have my review on other sites too and I'm hoping I broke the game down enough for them to try the game. I've had people who also didn't like point n click but they said they liked Fran Bow =). > this game must be completed! I'll also let the devs know how you guys like the game =), they need the show of luv since they're two manning the project.
  13. hahah that would be very helpful since I ended up jumping out of a two story home b.c I panicked *zombies b tryin to eat me yo* However, in terms of ladder, what would be a good way to have it built. Or do you just want them in random houses where u can hopefully drag em around. It would be cool though if we can make one maybe out of wood that we get. Heck if the sheetropes come, maybe they can have it be possible to tie it to something that will act like a hook so u can climb up through the window. Just have them make noise (and alarm) though since it will break the mirror.
  14. I was gonna say isn't there sheet ropes. By the way, how exactly do you use them? I just found out you can make them but I tried having em on the window but nothing was happening *read on wiki you can climb down them*. From what Rath said, I'm guessing the newest version took it out for now?
  15. D: Def poetry! u.u I think i went back too old school *blush*
