  1. As much as I don't like dying before I reach the next day in all my playthroughs now, I genuinely think NPCs will balance these current settings out. The chaos at the beginning of the game will be massive with some NPCs running rampant, which will give other NPCs the time to relax, and the player too. All depending on how you go about things. Right now, the zombies are literally chasing after one person in the whole map. (Not exactly, but you understand, they can only be spread out by random noises and not other people). Plus, people sometimes forget... This is how you died.
  2. I find most of the changes will have a drastic different feeling when NPCs are in, especially the difficulty, surviving on your own now is next to impossible unless you literally don't move after you spawn. Either you get lucky and they leave after a few days or you die. I got my 300 hours worth of fun gameplay in survival, and multiplayer. Now it's just waiting for NPCs for me to get back into the game. And hoping that they can survive the early horde, the current zombies just need chaos and more characters against them for them to spread out more realistically from gunfire and people running away. Then it should be at least possible to survive for more than 2 hours. Maybe I'm just not used to it and it is possible. Anyone survived for more than a week in this build?
  3. Well for a Hunter, if some trait or profession was in the game for bows/crossbows like there is for guns, they'd be useful for minimum noise in hunting animals when that feature is released.
  4. I like them being spread out. The old *circle of zombies* looked really silly and really buggy. So that's perfect I think. The threat seems a little less though which is a bit disappointing. Before, I would be constantly trapped in a box from zombies and having to go up small alleys and seeing fences just saying "wait until the animation update and this will be even more amazing". Now they mostly follow me from one area and I don't get trapped unless I run directly in the middle. By "trapped" I meant that I would run from one group that was big enough and not a weird circle of idle zeds, into another, but then I would see an alley or another road, and up that road I would met more! Then try to turn back and see the two groups before me merging and trapping me more and I'd barely make it out of there. That was really exciting but I haven't had that since the last two updates. Standard survival as always. The idle circle gone is a massive improvement and hordes are way more realistically spread out and move very well but hordes seem less of a threat to me personally due to them not cornering me like before which actually for the first time ever forced me to drop my supplies and I really loved that.
  5. Well I feel like NPCs will be the most voted for but I want... clothes. ;p Actually, bags. I have to wonder if we'll see bags like tote bags or plastic bags visually in game like backpacks?
  6. I don't know why being happy makes you physically stronger? There's LOADS of factors to go into this, as with most moodles, and NPCs. If one NPC was depressed and another happy, the depressed one, I feel would be annoyed, or the happy person would get sad and down due to the morale of the other person. Just my two cents. I'd love more moodles.
  7. I love it, but I have an issue when spawning in saves that you died in, because this happens. Standard survival, I spawned in on a save I died in and died instantly because I spawned in a house with a group of zeds already biting me, could that be a bug? It's rather unfair, it'd be nice to have the game check to see if there is zombies in the spawn point and then remove them so you don't die like this. 14 minutes and I had been scratched once, and scratched again having to climb through a window with broken glass (didn't have time to remove it). Then I got chased and inevitably died withing the first day, I'd really be happy if you guys were able to do something about dying like this, otherwise it's really good. Will I report it in the tracker? Also, idle hordes look a tad messy too, as you can see above. Some pictures from my death:
  8. Honestly the only problem I have with this build (besides some bugs) with the hordes is that they're so close together in a circle it looks really messy and unpretty, especially when you see them jumping over fences it seems like they're in a glitch of falling through an infinite portal loop like in Portal. I'd love if this could be sorted out so the zeds looked more appealing when they're idle in hordes. Anyway possible if you understand what I mean? About 500 of them just blew my walls in the Motel to pieces! It was awesome, Motel - 1 Months, 8 days. The fact I've lost my supplies actually makes me happy because it's a true struggle for survival now.
  9. Quick question, I'm wondering how the game will be when Windows 10 is out because I might get a free upgrade and I'm cautious as to how the game works on Windows 8 not to mind 10, think it's a good idea or no because it could break every game I downloaded?
  10. Yeah, that's done on purpose, generators only work for indoor stuff, not stuff like fuel pumps. You'll find Gas Cans around the map that are not empty though. Would be nice if some generators still had fuel in them too.
  11. I saw a video that I can't find where there was crouching and glancing around corners, tripping is also planned in some way\shape\form. I remember the glancing around corners but crouching? I've never seen a video of that... Now I need to find that video.
  12. No worries, but you can look here every monday for an update (mondoid) about what's going on. http://projectzomboid.com/ Just in case you didn't know. And you can search for say "NPCs" to have all of the mondoids about NPCs etc...
  13. I don't know if I've misread what you type or if you haven't watched the new animation video from a few weeks ago, but yes, you'll be able to do that (and I assume a lot more) when the animations come. On top of that there are going to be modding tools and I'm sure animations will be one of them so we'll basically have endless animation from then on if the devs don't add a specific one such as hiding under tables or anything.
  14. But don't tissue have a "condition"? As in they have health? I think having like 5 or so per dispenser would be good, maybe change the cold system a little bit so you might have to use two tissues to mute worse colds. The devs said during the time in between NPCs and Cars and before 1.0 they'll be fixing the game little bits and adding additions like this (if I read it right, not actually tissue dispensers but like we saw generators". I just think this would be a nice idea to fill the game world up a little bit and have more interaction with stuff on walls like this.
  15. I was going to come on here and ask if anyone thought the game got easier since the latest 32.3 update but after having to drop everything I looted because I kept getting cornered, I have to say, it's a job amazingly well done. This is exactly what I wanted for ages, small groups that are big enough to corner me in so many areas. I think it's fine how it is now until things such as NPCs change how the game plays with this and cars etc... My first death really sucked but that was because I left the light on. I personally love it and really hope it stays this way! Maybe even harder in future builds with other additions like I said.
  16. Yeah, though I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to mod in maybe. I need to try modding again. *sniffles* he didn't.
  17. You can see them here and in multiple other areas, why can't we be allowed to take tissues from them for our colds? (It looks like either a hand dryer or dispenser but I think it could work for a dispenser).
  18. Self explanatory I guess, if there were mobile phones we could use some functions such as the alarm and ringtones for distractions, the latter being the inferior due to the fact we could set the alarm for a specific time to go off, the ringtones would draw them close before you throw it so it really would be pointless for them. Also, some alarm tones (if it wasn't just the standard alarm clock sound) are louder than others so maybe you could choose volume of the alarm and draw a rough amount of zombies you want, say... 30, to any area, and not 100. Phones should really be a starting item, you can have a diary and to-do list, also there's earbuds so you could listen to music too? I searched and found some suggestions but that was then discussing the time period, well most phones (from the time period I read the game is roughly set in) had alarms and those annoying random songs no one likes to listen to.
  19. Well some things to ask right off the bat. 1-How many zombies were around your house? 2-Did you put sheets over EVERY single window? 3-Did you slept upstairs or downstairs? Also that is why the barricades are important now, they are VERY important now since the bang on the barricades will wake you up and give you a heads up to start running. 1- I had just cleared out zombies around the surrounding area and houses, I saw none around where they got in either or heard nothing. 2-Yep, there were curtains on and I had just got a sheet and put it up on the last window. 3- Downstairs, I wasn't able to get to a upstairs house, I was just happy to see an area to breathe. I agree, but I wasn't able to get any due to the fact the town was so packed and I wasn't able to find an axe. Good point! I should have used barricades though so I'll have to watch out for them or someway to get them and just not sleep .
  20. Well now that I've played it I really like it, however my death wasn't really... preventable? I know that's stupid about a game where you will die, but dying from 10+ zombies surrounding you in your room after waking up was rather annoying. I did well to get the safehouse and I felt happy to actually see no zeds but I woke up due to the glass breaking but they were already around me, I managed to escape them, but I'm dead now anyway. I mean, I think it was the metagame because a gunshot went off (nothing happened for a day or two) and then a guy screamed as I was sleeping so, I'm not sure how I'd be able to put up with it if it happens often, again, only my first test and I love the majority of it except for that. I think maybe having your character wake up on any metagame event that can attract death so you have a chance to at least be up even if they're 5 seconds from breaking in your bedroom window, or if they are banging you should also wake up. Something like that would be nice I think. Don't know if anyone else had this type of death but it's the only problem I have, never happened to me before actually. Otherwise, good job, but I'd love a change to that to give a warning.
  21. See, there's the be lovely again.
  22. ^ I feel like I can't post my opinion on the forums anymore without getting a comment like that. And if I give talk like that to a moderator I get banned. Where did "be lovely" go? Or does it only apply to people on the forums with no power? I'm not starting an argument, it's just what I've noticed lately on some replies from the devs and mods (and I understand the devs stress though). I'll leave it at that. I assume I'll get a warning point but if it's at the cost of making the forums be lovely again I don't mind.
  23. I agree, though I have yet to play seeing the video above is pretty ridiculous. It should be low enough to start and a bit smarter being able to tell when you've made a decent safehouse with good fortifications because then those numbers are a little more forgiving. Definitely would rather if it was lower at the start and moved up giving you at least a week (or, if you build a pretty good defense, then pile up the numbers) Otherwise I think I'll be asking for a mod because, this does seem a little outrageous. My opinion might change when I play though so we'll see. At least giving players a chance to do stuff first would be fairer if those numbers did come in after a few days or so. Obviously if someone's running and gunning that's their fault but it still definitely needs tweaking. I agree with the metagame too, when NPCs are introduced all I can see happening is never having a chance to talk to them because zombies are around every corner. I eagerly await someone angrily replying due to the fact I've given my opinion in trying to help this game be better than it is.
