  1. Yea does make a bit more sense. My topic is here (click here) for anyone interested.
  2. On top of my issue where I cannot right click, I have come to notice several other bad bugs. For one, after playing for a while using the controller I discovered that SOME menus allow me to right click. Thankfully that menu seems to be limited to the health screen so I can remove and replace bandages since I cannot figure out how to do so with the controller. However directly after I do so, every single time without fail, most of the controls stop working unless I press escape on my keyboard. I can move with the controller but that is it. No attacking, no doors open, no interacting or even pausing the game. So every time I replace my bandages I need to pause and unpause with the keyboard then resume playing with my controller, so I am stuck in an odd state where I need to use all three devices to properly play the game.
  3. I have a very similar issue. I have zero mods installed and have just freshly installed the latest IWBUMS version this morning. I am playing in sandbox mode with all custom settings including the advanced stuff for zombie spawning. I spawned in a house and opened the first container near me. No matter what items I right click, the menu only appears for a split second before vanishing. If I keep right clicking fast the menu keeps flashing but never stays up so I cannot drink, sleep, equip bags or weapons and so on. I can left click to drag things and double left click to move to my inventory and such but no right clicking. I have tried holding CTRL, shift and ALT while right and left clicking in the hopes of that helping but no luck. I tried changing the resolution down to the recommended one as I have it set to 1920x1080 but that did not help since it is not an issue with lining up but that the menu simply flashes away. The mouse I am using is a logitech G600 gaming mouse and I have tried defaulting its settings although I am simply using the regular left and right click, none of the extra buttons. I will attempt to dig out a regular mouse if I can find one and see if that makes a difference. UPDATE: Could not find a regular mouse to try unfortunately, however my xbox 360 controller is working great. Kinda annoying that the controls page doesn't change to reflect controller keybinds so I have to figure it all out. Got most of the basics down but no matter what I press I can't seem to figure out how to run or how to select my health and stats and such. Edit again: Figured out how to run finally, it was a button I thought I had already tried. Push in and click the movement joystick.
  4. I am EST, and the server does not have much of a population yet as I just started looking for people yesterday. So far it is me, my fiance, a friend that may or may not keep playing and possibly two people that PMd me but haven't responded again yet. Ill be on most of today if you pop into TS again.
  5. Hello, as the title says I am looking for some people who would like to play as a group while we try to survive. I really don't want to play on the PvP servers as this game takes so much time and effort to get things going that it would just make me angry to lose it all and video games should not bring me that much anger. I would like that anyone who wants to play is over the age of 17 (I am 20) and has teamspeak / microphone. The server is properly port forwarded, no hamachi shit here. It will be running 24/7 dedicated on my server box which has: AMD FX-9370 4.5GHz octacore 16GB Corsair RAM running at 1866MHz 250GB PNY SSD with a 2TB WD 7200rpm backup drive The server settings are a little different as well. Loot rarity is all default values. EXP multiplier is set to 3. Day length is 1 hour and the server starts in April. Zombies are shamblers with all default values except that there is no transmission and their memory is short. I really don't enjoy fighting a single zombie in a bathroom and the one scratch it got off on me ends up killing me, so thats why infection is off. I think there are enough ways for us to die already with the zombies themselves, the wounds they inflict and all the other ways we can get damaged / sick. Anyone interested in joining, please first join my teamspeak server: glnd.ts.nfoservers.com
  6. Sounds good, thanks. I thought I had tried using localhost before 127.0.0.1 but that it would not allow me to connect. I will have to try again when I get home in a few hours.
  7. I don't type anything in the box as it always has my username and password already saved but I do see in my save files that it keeps creating a new save and putting a number after it. Ex: 127.0.0.1_wolf0, 127.0.0.1_wolf1, 127.0.0.1_wolf3, 127.0.0.1_wolf4 Is there any way for me to control which of these profiles is loaded since they all have the same username and password? I guess I will go try a few things and see what I can find out, as I know very little about the way zomboid and the server saves things. Also just to be sure, the server save is within the sandbox folder currently right? That is where I found all those saves (the only saves) as well as folder named servertest that is large enough to be the map, so I am working under the assumption that I found the correct saves. Thanks for the information, its good to know someone else is having a similar issue. I noticed you said you had the problem rather than have, meaning you have solved it right? Would you mind sharing what solution(s) you implemented to keep the same character over multiple sessions? EDIT::: I found a temporary solution that will work for a while. Every time I close the game I create a backup of the save and when I log in the next time if the server gives me a new save folder and character then I just copy the old files into the new folder and repeat. I should be able to retain my character forever like this. Im certainly still open to any actual solutions people might have though as I am sure this will become annoying as time goes on.
  8. Hello everyone. I recently came back to zomboid like many others to check out the multiplayer after so long and so far it is great. We do however seem to be having a problem where our characters are seemingly deleted randomly. I keep the server running 24/7 so that the world does not wipe and we have tried restarting it and deleting all the files to be sure that wasn't part of the issue. Whenever someone logs back into the game 2/3 times the character is deleted and they respawn back in the starting location again, losing the hard work put into the skills and gear of the other character. Last night I managed to log off and back in successfully twice before the third time deleted my character. After the server restarted that character was deleted as well but 2/4 other friends managed to log back in with the characters they had before that restart. The server is running in the background of my desktop computer since my actual server is currently in pieces. The computer is running windows 7 64-bit home premium with an AMD FX-9370 4.4GHz eight core, 16GB of ddr3 1600MHz ram, a standard WD 7200rpm hdd and an HD Radeon 7970 3GB. My internet connection at the moment is a bit slow, averaging out around 130 kilobytes/second upload and 2.4 megabytes/second download although the upload seems plenty so far to host the small ground (~6) of people currently playing. Anyway that seems to be about all of the information I can think of with the problem at the moment. I am about to leave for a few hours so unless the post it within the next 10 minutes I will not be responding for a little while but be assured I will later. It is just that in my experience it generally takes a few hours to get responses in the help sections of forums. But yea, thanks for reading this and thanks for any attempts at helping me to solve this problem. The game would be much more fun if we could gain more than a single level before losing the characters.
