    I must say.. I LOVE the new animations. Adore them. 
     
    My computer currently kinda sucks and even sucks at running the game as it is now. My wife stole the good computer. 
     
    But... Don't let that stop you from developing the game and making it closer to AAA. Yea, I understand everyone wants to play. But we are moving into a 3D, Virtual Reality world. You all, myself included, need to upgrade sooner or later to keep up. We appreciate your dedication to keeping the game running on older hardware however. 
     
    If no one pushed the boundaries, we would all still be playing pong.

    How are the animations coming along? Will we have animations for various tasks such as sitting, sleeping, eating, reading, rummaging through containers, visible backpacks, etc?
     
    Also are there any plans to allow us to use tents to avoid the rain?

    Will there be different skill levels of dragons?
     
    When dragons are spawned they will be given a random profession, traits, personality. As well as this they will be given a skill / xp boost inline with the amount of time since the start of the apocalypse. At that point they will gain XP normally for the time they are alive within the game code.
     
    Will there be fathers/sons and can you start the game with a dragon family member?
     
    Every dragon will have the potential to be a family member of other dragons in the dragon lair at the moment they are spawned. We want sister dragon/brother dragon, paired dragon clutches of either gender, mother dragon and young child dragons. The only restriction on this is that all dragons will be adult. We're not having any hatchling dragons for various reasons.
     
    Will there be big groups of dragons (6+) that have no affiliation to you?
     
    Very much so. We'll spawn smaller groups of dragons, and these are the ones more likely to have relationships between each other. These small dragon groups will then combine in the meta-game from the start onward, and the more time has passed if we ever need to spawn a new group then that time will influence the group size.
     
    How many total (hostile/neutral/friendly) dragons will there be on the map at one time?
     
    Potentially hundreds. It's not clear at this stage, but since most dragons will be far from the player and thus using simplified meta game processing and thus won't need complicated flight mechanics and flame breath animations, it means we could have hundreds feasibly without too much impact on the processing.
     
    Will new dragons spawn?
     
    Yes. We'll have migrant dragons flying in the side of the map frequently to keep the numbers up (while still having a downward trend in the amount of dragons you find as the population dwindles) but the meta game will allow dragons to survive as long as we wish, it's not a case of the combat and survival AI of dragons needs to keep them alive as a player would, so we can keep specific dragons the player meets alive long enough to become antagonists that impact the game for a long time.
     
    Will the dragons be tamable?
     
    Dragons will be able to join your nest, as well as you having the ability to join (with any other dragons you've tamed) their nest. Whether the dragon likes and trusts you will determine if they are tamable, or if they will be openly hostile toward you, as well as who would be the alpha dragon of the nest.
     
    Can the dragons kill you on sight?
     
    Yes. Though the sadistic AI director will probably step in to make sure their first flame breath isn't lethal or on path if it comes without warning.
     
    Will there be situations where a husband flies into a zombie infested gigamart to try and save his dragon mate?
     
    This is the sort of zombie/dragon movie scene we're going to be looking at in terms of these event scenarios, so I'd very much like to think so.
     
    Will there be situations where your best friend gets bit and he has to be taken out somehow?
     
    See above.
     
    Will there be situations where that new tamed dragon eats you in your sleep?
     
    Possibly. We need to keep the gameplay fair in terms of signposting. This may qualify as not fun for many, it's nice to have some kind of warning of foreshadowing.
     
    Is the military considered dragons?
     
    The military do have dragon rider members in the canon, but we're looking to get vanilla dragons in first before tackling military dragon riders. At this time we're only comfortable commiting to normal dragons but we've wanted to do military versions since the start so will be a priority once the normal dragons are released.

    hey community,
    i realised zeds are pretty colourful in a horde, thats ok for the start of the apocalypse but what about a simple addition where the colours and skin grey out with time, skin gets more pale etc.
    maybe even a speed decrease?
    what do you think?

    Changed the zombie "spawning" sentence as it's a bad, bad word in English and you all missundertand what I meant, zombies WON'T SPAWN IN FRONT OF YOU, stop thinking that, we explained it a tons of time in this thread and that "please no zombies respawn it'll ruin everything" keep coming.
     
    So now the new phrase is :
    Added experimental population management: after an area is abandoned by the player, new zombies will migraite slowly from this point. I'll need feedback on it.
     
    Still not the best system, but better than nothing (please think about the people playing on public server where there's always 10-20 people on it, there's no more zombie...)

    Added a mouseover tooltip for the plants to quickly check the water lvl of your plants, need at least farming lvl 2, picture You can now close kill jaw stab the zombies with a screwdriver (act like a kitchen)  
    [bUG FIX]
    Fixed save compatibility problem (when loading a build 27 saved game). Fixed the marksman trait (police officer) not taking in calcul. Fixed crafting bug : when you have only 1 bowl you had the option to split the soup into X bowls, making the bowls disapear. Fire can start from stove again. No more automatical fire start when puting a campfire inside a house (but a lit campfire will burn the house down). Remove the world filler when burning the item. Fire lighting are back. Fixed the "spill gravel/sand/dirt" on ground not working when not having a hammer in your inventory.

    Slight decrease of the time needed to aim with every guns. Slight increase of the pistol base hit chance.

    [NEW STUFF]Weapon overhaull (more things in the info post will come). Multiple text lines editor. You can now write a note and read them (more of a multiplayer thing), you can lock them so they'll be editable only by you. Semi-3D Sound ! Sound will now go left to right, fade away, etc.. Burn zombie corpses ! It'll need some petrol and a lighter/matches. Windows can now perma lock if you try to open them for too long. Bandages will now be removed after a certain amount of time. Disabled the corpse decay. Added experimental population management: after an area is abandoned by the player, new zombies will migraite slowly from this point. I'll need feedback on it. [MP] Added experimental loot respawn, you have to setup the serverOption "HoursForLootRespawn", if you set it as 48, it mean the zone will have to be unseen for 48 in game hour before loot respawning, same as zombies respawn, I'd LOVE to have feedback on it I'm also working on (idk if it'll be done for this build tho..) the ability to paint letters/text on wall. New crafting : Bookcase, shelves, bed... Map fixes (no more falling through Mall stairs, etc...). Weapon upgrades (fully moddable), they'll come alone at the gunstore, or directly mounted on some weapons, you need a screwdriver to put them in/out. Firearm need to be held with 2 hands (except pistol). [MP] You will be now instant disconnect if trying to join a server with a different build version than yours. Added paintable signs (skull, arrows..) over wall or post sign (new crafting) for every in game painting color (you need a paint brushe and the color you want). Zombeis who die by fire will now continue to burn/spread fire after their death. [MP] If you have a dice you can now do /roll 6 (number up to 100) to roll a random number, this will be shown to every near players. Picture The zombie migration have also a server option : HoursForZombiesRespawn, same as the one for loot respawn. [MP] Chat is now locally logged : you can press up or down while in the chat text entry to review your last entered message (saving the 20 last messages), then you can enter them again or modify them. Some new items :Thread Needle Tarp ... Tent will now require a tarp (instead of the sheets) to be crafted. You can now craft a mattress with some sheet, pillow, thread and a needle. Another server option for the loot respawn : MaxItemsForLootRespawn = 4 // For the loot respawn, if a container have more items than this number, it won't respawn loot (use it to limit respawn in safe house for example..) You can now type admin commands directly in the console, no need to log as admin, for example do a : additem "rj" "Base.Axe" directly in the console to add this user an Axe, more admin commands are coming (probably for this build, will do it while testing), like broadcasting message and.. Well.. Idk yet (I'll update the "how to administrate your server" post today) You can now add game meat (I mean rabbit, birds, squirrel.. from trapping) inside soup and stew. Loot respawn can't happen in a zone where the player have built (or barricaded) stuff (to avoid spawning in/near safe house). This is for Serrate Bloodrage (aka combat-medic badass ) : You can now make your own bread ! Make a bread dough from flour, yeast, salt and a bit of water, cook it : become a true French today.     Fixed some incorrect map zone. Fixed some incorrect loot distribution. Fixed tent/campfire couldn't be build on tall grass. Fixed some world filler. Map exported with multiple fixes from Mash. Zombies can't jump over closed/barricaded windows anymore. Hammer will now correctly be equipped (if required) before crafting something. [bALANCE]
    Increased the difficulty to open windows when you're not strong. Increase a bit the spawn of twine (specially inside the sewing shop). Bait for trapping will now use only 5 hunger reduction from the food you use as bait, also fixed minors things on trapping. Lowered a lot the time required to cook bacons.

    Maybe make zombies drop some of the loot too, even to the point of having a backpack with supplies. It could be a survivor who met his demise, or someone who rushed to gather stuff for a runaway.

    Added a soft reset command for servers, so you can wipe the world except construction, reset everything else. Should allow for fully persistent construction for all time.

    Asking multiple times and telling people "I need this answered" is very unlikely to improve your chance of getting your answer. In general, the developers don't give ETAs for working on individual bugs or issues.
     
    You also don't get to tell the devs what their development priorities should be. Remember you're playing an in-development testing version. There's no lack of things the devs need to work on before MP is stable or finished in any way.

    this needs to be so much in the vanilla game! devs please add it, in regards of multiplayer this must be in, imagine joinin' a server that is something like 20 years after outbreak like in last of us! amazing
