Thanks bud, but I've already heard it. I actually find the kids singing it kind of disturbing to be honest. Dunno why.
And I've actually found myself listening to the recent musical escapades of the Eddsworld series.

I don't know about anybody else, but I have always wanted to reenact the Walking Dead with my friends in PZ.
When I heard about vehicles being added at a later date, I became excited to do just that- Riding around in an RV with my group, stopping to camp for the night and then pulling up our roots and heading off. But then I realized
that nobody else had mentioned something like an RV or Mobile Home being added to the game.

I just wanted to get it out there... Not gonna make any presumptions. I guess it wouldn't be too hard to mod in,
once the vehicle framework has been added in...

    Right?

So as it is i've noticed its rather hard to tell what your aiming at from a long distance and while on top of structures it seems impossible to shoot down.

Years ago i was a big fan of the Commandos games, They had a top down isometric view and when you would use the sniper rifle you would get a small scope appear on your cursor which was very simple and easy to use.

You can see it in the screenshot

I'm sure the way bullets travel is alot different in both games but I thought something similar would work well in PZ with weapons that have a scope attached and just thought id suggest it.

I totally agree and I'm pretty sure the devs have this in mind !

Certain skills / items / actions only available for certain professions is something I remember suggesting in my massive suggestion thread. The point would be to enforce the "Role-playing" aspect of the game, to make your starting choices have much more impact on the way you'll live (& die) and give a real meaning to co-op/group gameplay, to commit players to their role.
This way, surviving by yourself should be possible (& dangerous) for people having the required skills but should be a precarious situation "decorated" with red moodlets, whereas surviving in a more "comfortable" way should come from a group effort. You know, just like society should normally work : you're part of a group, you provide for the group and the group provides for your needs, making Life a much easier thing.

I think Lemmy said the profession overhaul would see most of the things we're discussing here tho. Like from what I remember players will have a profession and a hobby to pick at the beginning, making their leveling-up pretty much only possible for the skills you chose to start with.

I proposed a more RPG like system for it :

-Starting profession : you have a bonus at start + the access to the unique skill & knowledge your profession offers + leveling up goes at normal speed.
-1st hobby : bonus at start but no access to unique skill & knowledege the basic profession offers + leveling up at normal speed.
-Learning a 2nd hobby from books / teachers : no bonus, no unique skill + leveling up gets slower, it even slows the leveling speed of your 1st hobby (lets say 50% of original speed)
-Learning a 3rd hobby from books / teachers : no bonus, no unique skill + leveling up gets even slower for the other skills (like 25%)
    -etc...

I can even see a special hobby to pick from here : "job addict", you start with a bigger bonus in only one competence instead of two.

This would make "multi-classing" a much harder, and probably less judicious, thing to do.

So, me and my friend recently got into playing the game with the name of "System Shock 2". In a nutshell, it's a game about space marines going through space ship fighting aliens and figuring stuff out. What I liked about that game's coop system was that the characters that we created were really, really different from each other. His guy was trained in psi-ops combat and he used the special device mounted into your wrist to cast psiogenic beams and spheres that hurt the enemies, aswell as being able to hack certain systems so it's security cameras couldn't raise alarm after seeing us, or hacking the locked containers. While in my case, my guy was specialized in weapons and brute force, blasting through enemies with shotgun and pistols, aswell as being able to repair/upgrade stuff we come across. On our way through it, he found certain objects that were useful both to me and him, and he often came to me so I could repair his weapons, or having to repair the control pad after his failed attempt at hacking it so he could try it again. It felt amazing, because in our case HE knew stuff I didn't, while I had knowledge of stuff that HE didn't, making the cooperation that much more compelling.

Whenever me and that same friend of mine boot up Project Zomboid, the sense of cooperation isn't there. It feels like we're playing a game as the same person with the same traits and skills. Both of us were good at building and constructing fortresses and sturdy walls, both of us were good at farming (We had a huge farm separated in two, with crops planted at the same time so we get farming skill as soon as they grow), The only difference in our characters was me having a greater cooking skill, and that was ONLY because he was too lazy to level it up.

I want the game to give you a choice at the character creation screen of what traits you are specifically good at from the start. For example - if I want to be specifically good at looting houses and fighting off zombies with my melee weapons, I want to be given a choice to upgrade my starting skills that help you with doing it, like "Blunt Accuracy" or "Guard". That way I'll be able to reach high levels of certain skills faster than anyone else and waste less XP while doing so. What I'd also LOVE to see in the game is restricting the usage of certain items to certain perks and/or skills. For example, if you want to use sledgehammer to break a wall, you GOTTA be "Strong" and have atleast 1-2 level of "blunt" maintenance, or restricting the building of ANY kind of walls/fences to high levels of carpentry, only letting people do easy stuff like barricading windows with doors.

Farming, Foraging, Fishing, give EACH trait a specific usage, and restrict that usage to the specific trait's level, so, let's say, a newbie that doesn't know ANYTHING about fishing wouldn't be able to catch any kind of fish until he's atleast leveled to 2 in fishing skill. In the meantime, he could practice by "catching" socks, shoes and any other trash that comes around in the water.

I want the game to consider how valuable it is to have two people good at CERTAIN things, while being completely bad at the other, so when they combine their forces they actually feel like they CONTRIBUTE to the stuff they create, thus getting that much more attached to their characters when they, finally, and inevitably die.

To avoid the unnecessary discussion of something I'm already aware of, read this last paragraph too. I know that "professions" are already planned, as well as some of them already being in the game. I know that certain new skills are coming in the future, accompanied with professions for people who want to be really good at it. What I'm asking about is not "adding" more new professions, BUT restricting the usage of certain activities to people that ACTUALLY CHOSE to do those activities. For example, leave base building to those who chose to play as construction workers. You'll still be able to barricade stuff, but to BUILD your own stuff, you'll have to either waste a LOT of XP into upgrading your construction skill, or start off as construction worker. OR leave "fishing" to people who chose to be "fishermen" as profession and upgraded their "fishing" skills in the character creation. I don't want EVERYONE to be able to do EVERYTHING.

tl;dr version - restrict usage of certain activities (like breaking walls with sledge, or fishing, or construction) to certain levels of corresponding skills and starting professions that you can choose on character selection screen.

    Thank you for your time.

a human cannot life of peanut butter and toilet water, a person needs vitamins to life properly and healthy.
of course you get vitamins from eating fruits vegetables meat and such, but for example if you have a lack of vitamin C and you cant find food that contains that that you go to a pharmacy and search for some vitamin C pills.
i really think that medicin is useless right now in the game and this would make vitamins much more important.

Something should be added nutrition wise, but I'm not entirely sure about what that could be. Vitamins effect could be changed to compensate for poor diets, but I think that wouldn't cut it entirely.

My char has survived for weeks taking only chips, and I know for a fact that this kind of diet would give you troubles in a few days.

While not making it uber complicated, it would be great to have a "health" bar based on your character playstile. Smoking a lot? Removing your sadness with whiskey? Eating only junk food? This kind of paterns should have an impact on my char. The how, is the complicated part

Malnutrition is a serious threat to survival and one that the game would benefit from simulating (simply), be it merely having a "hunger" value and a "nutrition" value or whatever you wish to call it, then have both degrade as normal, so for example, berries could be "nutritious" but not all that good at relieving "hunger". Meaning if I eat only potatoes I'd have to pop a vitamin tablet once in a while or eat a few fresh berries, eat some fish, just a few things with higher "nutrition".

No need to make it super complicated with varying levels of different vitamins and such, just a simple hunger vs health system to encourage planting more than just cabbage and to encourage a spot of fishing and hunting or foraging once in a week or two.

If you wish to broadcast a message on global chat (in-character) you can use a radio! The radio is
signalled by an *R* in front of the message.
Example: *R* To all survivors out there... I'm rollin' into West-Point fully armed!!

Please have a serious character name when you log into the server, or risk being kicked.
Examples: George Jones, Donny, The Doc, Sally Sunder, Jimmy Parsons, Red, Old Milwaukee,
Uncacceptable name examples: Asdf, 13241314, xXx_Cannibal_xXx, 420-YolostuffMate (etc.)

    2. PVP Safety is OFF:   This means that, at any point in your life on our server you are capable of being killed.
Death can come in a blinding instant, and we believe that this adds Realism to the game...
We promote, and encourage team-play, community building, and role-play, but as a part of
a Realistic experience, there may be: Murderers, Madmen, Cannibals, Predators, Thieves, and other
unsavory characters online at any moment.

    3. Respect the Server:  We want you to create homes, build strongholds, and live however you want to live in our game-world,
but please have a sense of respect for the world; We will not tolerate griefing (OOC or In-Character).
Griefing Includes going from house to house and burning everything on the server to the ground
(this has happened); I understand if you want to play an arson, fire is fine, but we will draw a line
when things get out of control (when everything is burned it usually forces a server *RESET* and who
                                          wants that??).

    4. Death is Permanent: To add Realism to our environment we will be enforcing (there can be some exceptions, discussable with
admin) permanent death. This means that death has to be permanent for RP'd characters that die
in-game. For Example: If you are Role-Playing a character named "Doctor Jones" and he dies in a
horrible lab-fire in game, or is shot to death on the street, he is dead Permanently. You will get some
slack if you log back into game with the same name, and continue to RP the same character. It might not
result in a kick (depending on the situation) but it is very poor RP and is frowned upon (I've already lost
a few brave souls to the apocalypse).

    5. Admin Wins, Always: We are two respectful individuals who will not (and do not) abuse the privelage. We follow the rules
as well; That being said, this is our home. Decisions we make are final.

Enjoy the Server and PLEASE post any comments/criticism/suggestions. We are completely open-minded and embrace change.

Ok yes I have put in a few suggestions. I get more likes then feedback on my suggestions, But this will not stop me from making what I think are good suggestions.

So what is my latest suggestion well it simple. My current game I have made it 3+ months. And my toon starting to get cold every night. Now a sweeter will fix it. But I some time forget to put it on (I am running a rain parka mod). So I was thinking to help later with cold blankets, sleeping bags, and a snuggies (realy that parts a joke).

You just put the blanket or sleeping bag in your inventory and when you go to sleep it keep you warm at night. It may only work when you are sleeping. I am not sure if it should work at any other times. So what do you all think?

I commonly ask myself a question and it always continues to linger on me. What more could I want in a perfect game?

#1 - My number one idea has always been bicycles. I know it has already been projected as an idea, but there has not been much in-depth information regarding them. My idea is to either combine cycling with sprinting to make an athletic skill, or just add a cycling skill. The lower the skill, the more prone one would to stumbling (on foot), or falling off the bike (cycling), especially if cycling off-road. There would also be a chance of a rusted chain if left in the rain, or a small chance of a chain falling off over time. Flat tires would become issues when constant biking on roads (a lot of debris would plague the roads).
Also, high exertion would make itself known after a while, which would make sense to add some sort of 'gear' system; a five speed.

#2 - When NPCs are introduced, I envision some sort of... Friendship bar. Your character may get along better with one NPC, but despise another. Bonds would be formed and if the death of a close NPC occurs, depression would delve its way into the mind. This depression is unlike the average in the game, though. Pills refuse to work and chocolate wouldn't make anyone happy in that situation. What one would need is closure, a way to relieve the sadness. Burying a fallen NPC and creating a grave site would help, but visiting the graves regularly would eventually give the player closure. The extremity of depression would occur on how the NPC died. (Suicide, asking to be shot because of infection, or being torn apart by zombies)

#3 - MAPS. Now, I think the common video game map today makes things way too easy... Showing players exactly where they and exactly where they need to go. In a real life scenario, paper maps would easily make their way into the hands of survivors. They should be quite rare, and only a small amount available. I am not quite sure how the maps would be presented. A full, convenient map of the entire land would seem too... Convenient.

#4 - There needs to be a ton of variation in the lay of the land. Kentucky is not completely flat, but the maps are. I have no problem with the cities being somewhat flat, but the forests are dreadfully boring. Small creeks, streams, hills, crude bridges, dirt paths, and other forest details should be available. I know that this game is in early development and these type of aesthetics are on the bottom of the list, but in the future, it would feel much more immersive.

#5 - Ironically, the smallest aspects of the game seem to bother me the most. When I fish, I feel so bland. The water doesn't even move and that bothers me. It doesn't even have to look realistic, but it should at least move. It would add a great deal of immersion, which everybody loves.

#6 - More skills and more occupations

#7 - Different building materials. I am getting pretty tired of seeing wood, wood, and more wood.

#8 - Notes and signs. With pen or pencil in hand, one should be able to 'mark' or identify what is what. Certain crates would be for different things, etc.

If I think of any more, I will be sure to comment them!

#9 - With batteries being in the game, electronic game systems should become available. Some people like playing video games better than reading when bored. But it should not stop at game systems; more electronics should become available, but rechargeable ones should be doomed after the power goes out.

#10 - I won't expand on this topic because enough has been posted about it, but bows and arrows. Craftable compound bow with craftable arrows and VERY rare crossbows with craftable bolts.

#11 (From GodWaffle) - 'Zombies are primarily known for their hunger for human flesh, however in the game currently they'll take chunks out of you UNTIL you drop dead, at which point they'll leave the body and wander away.  As of now this doesn't matter much, but when NPC's and Multiplayer are added, you'd expect the zombies to actually eat bodies, if they find a corpse they'll start to munch on it (unless there's already one or two zombies eating it) until they see a living human. For one thing it would increase the diversity of zombie behaviour, it would be easier to sneak past zombies who are in the middle of eating, and also can be used as a distraction (shooting your pal and letting the zombies eat him).  Also it would give yet another incentive to remove dead bodies from near your base, as walkers would come for a meal.  In order for this to work, there would need to be a new eating animation (bent over, gnawing on the corpse), and also perhaps a new corpse sprite (the point in which it's a bloody mess of half-eaten gunk).  If left for a while the zombies will devour corpses entirely.' - GodWaffle

#12 - A larger variety of ACTUAL weaponry. I don't feel very badass with a frying pan after a few months. Also, weapon graphics. A hunting knife should look different from a kitchen knife and a crowbar should not look like a baseball bat.
