  1. Enjoyed last night, was fun but um Dawn, Will, Ty. Please remember that North is the top right corner of the map and...uh, be careful?

Don't suppose this server still exists?
  3. Thanks Brannty. *evil glare* It was special to me, shouldn't have said anything. Not even four days later turned a corner too tight into a swarm of them. At least they had lunch.
  4. Am chuffed to bits about Matt. He must be the longest I've ever managed to keep anyone alive in PZ. One problem though; Windows 8 (the wonderful thing it is) decides to blue screen on me so when I got back into PZ the date was reset to some time in January with the lights and water on. So if that counts as a cheat he only lasted a month. Trying to get into the warehouses east of tattoo 42 and west of the church I bumped into these guys, it must have taken a week to try and get in there. Every time I started making headway a gunshot would draw more to the fence or a chopper would force me to double back. In the end there were no box's of nails which is what I was after. Spent almost a month getting the community set up. Thought it would be an awesome place for people to set up base. My second project so far. Wish multiplayer was in already T_T. So here is Matt still alive with the wall of the community at 2 months, 2 days and 19 hours
  5. So after many an attempt to get past the 10 day mark finally made it. What is with getting scratched and dieing from an infection from ankle biters on exactly the ten day mark? Meet Matt Watts, I have big plans for him IF he manages to live. Below is the fight to get the saw. I'm hoping the trowel will be easier to get.
  6. I agree with Enigma and Jela. Even with every negative trait and agony and nauseous (sick can be problematic) and exhausted you can still outrun the zeds, I've done it more than enough times Do you have a bat? or frying pan? anything blunt. I'd go to the door ready up a swing open the door smack em and shut it. If done properly you can usually hit them and close the door before they get in, it also lets you see roughly how many are at the door. Another nice thing is that if there aren't that many you could potentially knock them down making running out a possibility but you would have to be under carry limit so if you are sick I'd suggest to drop it to 2 (hmm you would be screwed if you have more than moderate damage though). Another solution would be to wait in the most distant part of the house with as many doors between you and them as possible. Maybe you'll get lucky and a chopper will fly overhead or a couple of gunshots will draw them off. Either way good luck Mr.Morris. Make sure they suffer before you go. o7
  7. It's got to be that damned unlucky trait that makes finding what you need impossible. Had a similar problem that I was sleeping in any non infested place because I couldn't find the needed resources to barricade anything.
  8. I'll just continue to believe puppy treats are the way to cure zombieness. At the very least I'll have a shiny coat.
  9. Hypochondriac just means more food consumed on the sick, fever part of the cycle. It's annoying that it happens once a day but I found a can of dogfood usually gets me through it. Speaking of I'm wondering if dogfood has some magic in it, I was eating dogfood and dealing with the depression it put me in when I got the 3 scratches. Could it be that it's the cure for not becoming a zombie? I had a plan to build several blocked off farm areas with alternating growth for the hypochondria problem, idea was to have atleast 6 areas with self contained water supply but I just couldn't find an axe or nails (I blame the unlucky trait).
  10. And so it ends. 15 days 5 hours, 171 kills. T_T Died to a scratch while opening a door.
  11. Reminds me of work at the airport. It's not as dangerous but has those moments when you think really? We had a plane leaving and were short on time to get it turned around, so I'm the ramp guy dealing in getting stuff to where it needs to be when it needs to be so that the plane can start taking on new passengers. So given the issues I grab the car drive it down to the baggage section to help tow the remaining 2 bins. Get there and no one is about which is kinda odd but you figure the pricks just got lazy and left, wouldn't be the first time. I check the tags on the bags to make sure I've got the right bins, happy with everything climb back in the car and head to the plane. As they are busy loading up I get a call from inside asking if I'm alright and I'm thinking "Is this really the time for some trivial phonecall". All this time I'm looking at a hole in the car near the back trying to figure out what the hell that's from. Turns out 3 parking bays over a gun fight broke out while they were robbing the plane right at the section where the baggage bins came out from. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Oh and in case you think I'm deaf, you have 2 planes with their engines going and see if you can hear anything that isn't yelled in your ear.
  12. So how do you cope with the never ending agony. It's irritating me just seeing it there in the corner the whole time. That fever loop is just pure evil. Interesting story so far on this challenge. Start in Muldraugh make my way west? (top left of screen) and make it to the Motel. So all is well while I try to figure where to go considering that they just keep increasing in numbers to the south (bottom left) and that's the direction I was headed. Just before waking up a god damned chopper flies overhead, I was sleeping on the second floor. A brief "I can see through walls" glitch shows that all of them, atleast 15 or more are heading right at the stairs. So shitting bricks I make my way to the door and hear the first thud. Search my inventory, no sheets, check the room and find no sheets either. So I figure I can open and slam the door in their face to atleast how many are out there. One baseball bat swing and a door slam later nothing is inside but there is no way to get out. So I break the window to the north, check if I can make a sheet rope from the vest (thank god) but can't attach the damned rope to the window. Figuring I have nothing to lose I jumped, almost died but nothing broken. That was 6 days ago. So far 12 days, 150 kills, 3 scratches and going.
  13. Blood pumping. Seems like a bit of a under-exaggeration. Hats off to you sir for the cool head.
  14. Just to let you guys know - having it on hardcore has never caused me any issues but then I check every time I start up playing and after I load up, previous versions used to change settings all the time. If I remember correctly I had major problems before build 21 with mags or reloading even on newly found guns, seems to be gone now but I would definitely stick to using the same settings and not changing suddenly, likely that will screw you over. You have to have patience though with the mags showing up for pistols, they don't seem to appear in your inventory instantly so reloading the mag while being chased needs some finesse. I like counting rounds, reminds me that my real life hud doesn't come with nifty info plastered all over the place. Isn't that difficult while under fire? or just a matter of practice like anything else? I know I keep a count even on movies without meaning to.
