You guys should open a poll or something with a list of vehicles zomboid-ed (for legal reasons) that we would like to see in game. Can we get a Ferrari 348 from 1992 please
 
Are there any plans to do a large truck of some sort? something like this would be cool and would avoid a whole truck and trailer issue.

Please do, I need a lot of help haha. Need apartment buildings at, the moment. It's fine if you just only furnish the bathrooms and kitchens and copy paste the floors as those being the same makes sense, I will furnish the rest

I remember a few mondoids back there was word of work to hide all drawn tiles inside buildings to increase performance, has this been implemented yet or is it far off?
 
frames still drop a lot around a lot of buildings especially in custom maps

Yeah that house is in the map already, I think I changed the driveway. Though.
 
No eta for release, there is big performance issues with dense skyscrapers. So not until devs optimize the game for Louisville etc.
 
I may release the suburbs when it's finished though.

I was wondering this as well, some of the houses in riverside have garages attached to them. If you claim one of these and park your car in there can people still interact with it?
 
It should act the same as containers were people can't interact with them

I added all the names from the community pack, not sure if I will use every single building as some weren't what was i was looking for, do you remember what you made or what the building file was called?

With Louisville a still a while off I decided to take up the task of getting a good sized city into the game.
 
Also, Yes the map does borrow the name from the last stand web browser games but otherwise has no relation

I don't have alot of time to work on the map these days, every now and then i will post updates though

i noticed you can now lock vehicle doors and the trunk from outside with the key, this is great for MP. It doesn't work for the hood though, you can lock it and then still open it without the key. Kind of grief-y if people can take parts out of your engine because they can't steal the car.
 
On the same topic i think it would be better to have a open hood button on the dashboard, unsure if most vehicles from the 90's could have their hoods opened without even entering the car so maybe I'm just wrong here and its already accurate.
 
Also i assume its already going to be implemented but zombies should be able to break your vehicle windows and then drag you out, this is probably waiting for the anim's update though?
 
And are we going to see animated door/boots etc that will actually open up when you use them? it would make those traffic jams look way better as well.

Good to see the car sounds improving, though they still seem a little weird, maybe those sounds just don't suite that small car. Will there be different sounds for vans, pickups etc?
 
Also when can we get a look at those military vehicles hinted at a while ago?

Something i worked on yesterday, A military blockade/quarantine area on the main road heading into Union City.
 

 
I also got the car spawns working again.
 

Double post but i had to show off Legolands amazing work.
 
He has created a huge number of buildings which i will now work into the map, This is just showing them all off.
 

 
While some have a similar exterior they are all furnished and colored differently so exploring is always fun and every house is unique in some way.
 

 
I also really like the shops he made so here's a closeup . Furniture, appliance and sewing stores, Gun store and an internet cafe.

I have got most sprites working in game now, The different colors really make a difference and give the game a fresh look for those who have been around for a long time and seen everything.
