    Thanks for Rekkie in pointing me in the right direction to get world fillers working, These act as containers are will appear full and empty and will work well organizing loot in your base. They will be found in storerooms in commercial buildings Video Below
  4. Good to see another person creating tiles, if you have the hand for it i need palm trees and body bags would be good. I've also been using gimp to make mine, I Haven't had the time to work on PZ lately and the extremely long wait for animations has put me off but those two tiles would be handy when I get back into it

    Thought i should update the people following this. At this stage this project is on hold as i got a little burnt out with all the sprite creations/mapping and currently don't have the time to work on it as much is needed to finish a city of this size. For the most part it was just Legoland and myself working on it, The time to actually complete this would take months and we were working on it almost every day. I have backed up all the files online so i don't lose any of it. (See my McDonalds building ) Another reason is the game simply isn't optimized for city type areas in this much detail, Running on a decent rig on the latest car build it runs at around 20-30 FPS or worse so it would be even less enjoyable for others. I do plan to come back to it at some point but not sure when that will be. most likely when animations are out and we start to see optimizations for Louisville etc. I'm not going to release the tiles at this point as we do plan to come back to it eventually.     I made the City hall a while ago but its not going to appear for a long time, i used the Brooklyn Borough Hall in New York for reference then made it work for PZ. I'll probably make it a big bigger and extend out both sides once we get to that part of the map though. I think we will leave the first highway intersection as it is, maybe will look at putting the michigan turn further into the city. Also, the blue squares are done and can't be changed, The original river i had going down is pretty much the line, so its fine to change it. The river you added looks much better anyhow

    It's coming along nicely but slowly, next month would be a big maybe for release. Once the maps filled I still have fix the zombie spawn, do foraging , make all the vehicle spawns and complete all the new tile definitions. And I work full time, so I'll just do a TIS and say when it's ready

I find it funny that you say you came to help, yet you've only just joined the forums when there was free stuff involved and never before to post bug reports or any feedback on the iwbums in the past. I also almost missed out as there was some confusion with the timezones and I got in 10mins before it finished, I hope I get the key, as it is for a friend who has been active on the forums for a long time despite not even owning the game, though I won't throw a tantrum if not.

    Have you got any real world references where these are used? We don't have them where I live Most of the city area is temporary just so I could get a rough idea, we do need some more ideas for highways since we can't make sunken highways
  11. Had a quick drive around the map on the latest vehicle branch, its coming along very nicely. I especially liked your farmlands and some of the buildings were very creative with the limited tiles we have. The oil derricks for example were very well done.

    Its looking really good, Have you loaded the map into tilezed and seen how it appears in the editor? I'm assuming you mean the corn field's just north of Muldraugh in game at the farm? Should be doable if you could find the code that creates trees from the green colours and work from that. But that's a complete guess. On another note here is an update on the suburbs progress, I've worked all of Lego's houses into the map now and thanks to Rekkie pointing me in the right direction i have got first of the pallets and weapon's tables sprites i made working so that when they are looted they appear empty and vice versa, I just have to set it up for all of them. Now sitting at just over 600 buildings progress is coming along well the time consuming part is making the houses.

    Its not really needed, the sheer number of buildings we need people can make whatever they want. Though i will usually request certain types depending on what area we are working on. At the moment its just residential housing, we will probably need another 200 or so to finish the current part of the map. Also your farmlands are looking really great

I get around 25-40 Fps driving around at the second highest zoom level depending on if I'm in a town or not and I'm still getting big FPS drops when turning in a car on the latest vehicle branch. Performance seems relatively the same as when i posted the video. I like that some cars almost let you skid when using the brake and turning, Hopefully that's improved upon.
  18. Thanks dude, Exactly what i was looking for, Can't believe i didn't find it myself though, Swear i looked everywhere. That Lua code makes enough sense from working with the sprites, I should be able to make them work once i get the chance. I'll have a play with it and update when i get it working

    Double post but i had to show off Legolands amazing work. He has created a huge number of buildings which i will now work into the map, This is just showing them all off. While some have a similar exterior they are all furnished and colored differently so exploring is always fun and every house is unique in some way. I also really like the shops he made so here's a closeup . Furniture, appliance and sewing stores, Gun store and an internet cafe. h

    At this stage the entire map in the overview is planned to be city but we were considering in making a lot of rural farmland to the south if you want extend my original raw map i can send it to you so you can line it up. But don't draw on the areas already layed out as i edit it as we need. Could really be any size as long as its not wider than 12

    Needed a break from endless suburbs buildings, I started to get an idea on how the beachfront area will play out though it probably wont appear in the first release. Brighter Pavements, Large apartments / Hotels further on into the City along the beach etc etc. Started a modern/expensive looking apartment Anyone wanna make me some palm tree tiles ?

  24. Is there an updated Rules.txt for WorldEd? I noticed when using the bmp brush to place trees and then loading the map in game the trees are different than the ones in the editor? I assume its still using the old trees and not the new ones that came with the big trees or x2 sprites updates, and then get converted over when you load in the map. Here is a location in the editor And here it is in game, you can see all the vegetation is different. When trying to detail each homes garden its a bit of a pain.

    Pure coincidence, though the last pic on the first post, is a house from a popular zombie movie remake. I made the Window sprites specifically for it. Maybe you can spot the scene it's in
