Hopefully someone will be able to help me as i'm new to sprites, i've simple recoloured some of the sprites for railing as they wooden rails dont quite work in in my office building, my question is once i export the building file and upload it will people see them in game or will i also need to upload the new tiles ive recoloured for them to put in their tiles folder?

  3. I was having a play with the loot "zoning" the other day, couldn't seem to get it to work. The suburbsdistributions.txt is the file that has all the containers. From what i can tell, (and what the wiki says) you create a new object in tilezed (press O) and zone out the area, so you would zone out an area in a house for the kitchen to contain all the "kitchen food" items, then you can right click it and set the properties, here is where you choose the text from suburbsdistributions.txt for the container type / propertys etc. Thats as far as i got, the containers i zoned didnt seem change at all. Hopefully that points you in the right direction, a dev may shine some light on where to go from here - Neut

Depending on how far around you rotate, yes. some items you may just have to remove because they wont have a graphic for that direction, things like stair rails seem to end up in weird places when you rotate. But remember when you rotate, any tiles you placed in tile mode will dissappear and you will have to replace them.
  5. Didn't know that, it works in the editor ill have to give it a quick test later Edit: Looks like the limit is 8, editor crashes when trying to export anything larger. I will scale down the building for now

  7. I've done all my parking spaces 3 by 4 for your average car, judging by the mapping done by the devs i would say they would be about that size. Not sure about the bigger vehicles though

A certain room in one of my buildings has walk through walls, i have tried everything but cant figure out what is causing this? Thanks
  10. How do you know which cell is 35_32 lotheader and lotpack etc, all my files just have cell 0 , 1 when looking from the world map in world ed. am i looking in the wrong place? Edit: Figured it out after doing a bit of reading, i forgot to add the offset for muldraugh
  11. Looking good! Edit: Nevermind i figured it, a dev posted how to get lots to show up in another thread In tilezed when you have the cell select choose edit > preferences > zomboid, then add your .pzw map to the list and restart tilezed and it should show up

  13. Have extended it a bit more will update it later today, main building and one wing is done. It originaly was just going to be a courthouse / townhall then i just kept adding to it.
  14. Is there a way i can place tiles outside of a room in building editor? I want to be able to build the whole lot and not just the actual building, you can do it with tile mode but as soon as you rotate the building they all dissapear, is there a way around this that anyone knows of? Or am i just stuck building the structure and then having to build all the surroundings around it in tiled? Edit: Doesn't seem to be a work around, will just have to place all the individual tiles later and not rotate

Hey everyone, first post on the forums but i purchased the game a long time ago before it was on steam, been lurking around a bit, This is my first project been working on every now and then, mainly getting used to the editor tools, will update this once i get it finished off. Exterior is mostly finished for now. - Neut **Updated** after alot of hours heres the finished building - 54 Rooms - Restaurant - Bar - Reception - Pool area + outdoor grounds - Lounge areas - A few Storage rooms - Laundry - Only certain rooms have medicine cabinets etc, just so this place is not the go to for all your meds and for a reason to search individual rooms. Now to just to get it into game to make sure everything works. Open to suggestions for what my next project should be, Thinking a large police station or hospital.   16. How did you place the grass and things, everytime i go into tiles and try to place them once i rotate the camera it just clear all the tiles ive placed?
