Only 99.99$... that G36C better be worth it.

*Hissing sound*
Are you a werewolf?

Thanks! Haha I created this account just because wanted to make this topic i'll better read all already posted stuff first xD
Fair enough. Make sure to vote for pancakes due to the fact they're incredibly awesome (or waffles, if you like squares) in the poll in general discussion.
Surely, you LOVE pancakes!

I'm just an entitled member.
That means none of you can think of a title for me!, lolololololo

Waffles are square pancakes with grids on them 0_0
HOW DARE YOU! Waffles are made from the nectar of the Gods. Pancakes are made from the tears of children and rat droppings.
Accept the fact, they're clearly pancakes who chose to betray their own kind and added grids on themselves in order to make their own species.
Join us... and betray the Wonder Waffles.
clearly there has been some sort of accounting error. Waffles are far superior, especially for those who enjoy syrup.
on a pancake, it just runs off. on a waffle, it fills into all the little squares and makes every bite better
SOMEBODY SHOOT THIS LUNATIC *gasps for air*
*Aiming a revolver*
I can't do it.

Pretty much, Glove-boxes aren't just for show too you know... never know when a box of 9mm can come in handy... and some animal crackers.
As for weapons on vehicles, would be nice having a Humvee with a mounted M249 on it... which can overheat for some time, just to hinder it's usefulness, but that probably goes against the suggestions.

I want my damn face bandanas and aviators... GREAT DISGUISE.
Hoodies are great too!
... and T-Shirts. D:

When it will become available?? im getting wet haha .. tomorrow? xD
... *shrugs*

Why don't we have both?
Because waffles are pancakes with squares on them.
Therefore, pancakes are the clear winner here.

P.S:
How'd we get onto the topic of Fallout?
Well, imirish123 started talking about fallout and stuff like that. He also mentioned that his brother should play Fallout for the TRUE gaming experience.
Also, you can't deny that my icon is sexy.

Woo-hoo! Fallout dsicussion! Go-go-go.
Los Vegas was bombed -- just not as significantly as other areas.
You . . . do realize New Vegas is supposed to be set hundreds of years after the war, right? Not, like in Fallout 3, 20 years after (don't care what Bethesda says, that's what it looks like). Even in Fallout 2, the world was rebuilding and organizing, but in Fallout 3 that's thrown out.
And your entire backstory ceases the matter once you step outside of the vault in Fallout 3, just as it ceases to matter in New Vegas once you take a bullet to the brainpan. The only difference is you don't wonder around saying "I'm looking for a middle aged man" to sum it up.
I must be the only man on earth that likes Fallout 3.

There is this floating box with "<no name> Forest" in the zoning-pic. Does that mean a zone can be named and then addressed directly with this name?
Exactly
I have a few zones that I needed, but we may add more for the NPC (like "beach", "pharmacy", "warehouse"...), but any modders could add them for their own map, in fact, if you want trapping to work (correctly at least, by default i take the "town" zone if nothing is found), you'll be forced to do this zoning, same for NPC things.
Oh and, added "Awesome Mash Mall" to the upcoming list (so fun to say.. I mean seriously, try it at home, say "Awesome Mash Mall" 3 times fast... Oook, it's maybe only fun as a French...)
Come visit Awesome Mash Mall, where we have all these awesome wares and gadgets that you can find nowhere else!
Aluminum Baseball Bat?, it's there!
Hunting Knives?, it's there!
Weapons of Mass Destruction?, uh... we don't have tha- IT'S THERE!
Anyhoo, how do these zones work?
Are they meant to show how many zombies, npc's and animals spawn there?
-
I love the world filler, but I hope the most that 27 brings a more entertaining zombie AI.
That'll come when the Sadistic Director AI gets released... then you'll see the entertainment happen. :3
-
They're both published by money-hungry companies, so they're both identical!
-
The World Filler looks fantastic!, glad to see that added.

well that was fixed really quick for africa. i'm back and here's some stuff i've been working on lately:
lower class building near a park:
the elevated park is progressing (i also thought about barricading some streets as requested) some military took over the parking:
haussmanian buildings (note the ground floor across the street are furniture shops):
one of the rare bars in paris where they make their own (discusting) wine:
church "our lady of hope" and surroundings:
(notre dame d'espérance, rue de la roquette -for those who want to take a look at the real one-)
Great buildings as always.
... is the wine at the bar that horrible?
-
Just wondering if in the future you could move furniture to make some barricades?, someone said you could in the older versions.
-
Well, sort of. It's just a larger area of effect for fire (more tiles), unless I'm mistaken. It may have changed since last time I played around with it.
Hm... how about a video showing the features of the propane tank in the next mondoid.
-
Propane yes, trapping I don't know yet, depend on when we do a new test version, but I think we can wait for it a bit, it's almost there, still have some zone to do, and finish some research and it'll be good, but as I told on twitter I'm on exciting stuff right now, rather fast to do
Pretty sure it is Kilos questioning sir...
Thx for the update and by my guessing I think there will be more cooking added, mabey different crafting.
Oh watch out for the sounds you make!
It's not pound or kilos, it's.. erm "encumbrement" (not sure about the spelling), imagine you have a big cardbox in your inventory, if we do size in kilos it'll weight like 0.4 or something, BUT it's really hard to carry with you (can't really fight and stuff), so it's weight will more be like 3-4
Oh, I have some fun plans for (Hank Hill accent activate)PROPANE(Hank Hill accent deactivate) in multiplayer... placing a well set propane, wait for the unsuspecting group of survivors to come in... then shoot that PROPANE and EXPRUSHION.
... or just make a trap for the unsuspecting herd of zomboids out in the open.
-
when will be npcs????
When they are ready!
when it be ready
In approximately 20,000 billion lightyears... we won't even be alive during that time.
And seahorses took over the universe.

As good as it is, the devs have put it in their Big No's.

Lifeless is a multiplayer FPS zombie survival game. In Lifeless, you have to do whatever’s necessary to survive in a vast and dangerous world, filled with challenging and intelligent zombies. Working with other players is a smart choice, though attacking other players has its place as well.Lifeless offers an experience that no other zombie survival game has yet to offer. If you want to stay alive, you’ll need to think on your toes and make intelligent decisions; decisions which affect not just you, but everyone around you, players and NPCs.
Right... I'd like to see how true that statement is. ._.

Happy Easter Mondoid to all! I'm here again to give a slight map update and show off some pics.
I have mostly focused on buildings lately and it's been great seeing how Vine Grove has slowly grown into a really immersive small town. The team has also dedicated some of their time to supply me with some really nice buildings so thanks for that! That said I have done some mapping, but I haven't finished any cells. But I do think it's been worth it!
I've been so focused on doing the buildings that I've totally forgotten to add the numbers to the OP, (sorry about that ) but again I'll try to do that when I have just a bit more time in my hands.
One last thing before I give you the pics. I can't stress enough how great it is to get buildings, ideas, feedback etc. from you guys so if you have any time, please do chip in. Anything will do! And if you're thinking that you're work might not stand up to the standards, don't worry! I can always edit the stuff a little to suit the map just a tad better.
Onto the pics!
Let's start with the traditional cell pic, 3,5:
Here's a sligthly more urban cell than the previous ones. The sand area will have some under construction housing in the future and the north block with the lighter pavement will be a place for a large mall complex. There'll also be a decent sized grocery store on the south east block. Otherwise the cell will be filled with mostly small to medium size homes.
Here're some pics of my favourite builds I've done so far this week:
Let's start with my personal favourite. This building to me represents the perfect 'murica setting and adds a lot of kentucky flare into the area just by itself. This is modeled after an apartment rental/motel type building in High Street of Vine Grove. I decided to make it as a home however to make it fit into the neighborhood a little better.
Here's a sample on how I like to do some of my buildings when I decide to dedicate a bit more time to them. It's a very interesting design that caught my eye and I immediately wanted to try and copy it. I think I did a decent job, or what do you think?
Here's how the building is in RL:
And here's what it looks like in game:
Last of the building show-off is a quaint little upper class home that sits opposite a small church. This is the house that is the most stereotypical picket fence home in america. (except this one doesn't have a picket fence... )
Lastly I'll give you guys an update of what the whole area is starting to look like. I think you're gonna like this:
As you can see the town center is almost finished and I've started doing the west side of town as well as doing some more trailers to the east side of the tracks. Oh, and yea there's railroad tracks. I've also finished the town hall, adult education center, a small church and a metric tonne of tiny and small houses. Also Phuket finished the very cool Vine Grove family medical which can be seen just north east corner of the town center. (The white building) So yayy! Lastly, let me just add that all of the buildings are 100% furnished, lit, mostly bug free and working as they should.
Another wall of text finished! phew... Thanks for tuning in!
Again happy Easter Mondoid and have a lovely week. <3
EDIT: Oh, and to all you mappers out there! I found the way to get the blends working automatically when you do a bmp to tmx or use the BMP brush in tilezed! It's been updated in the OP of the MAP TOOLS thread and my post on it can be found here.
Those buildings are inspiring me to make use those interesting designs for my future buildings, great job on making them look alike!
