  1. Aight, what if there was hand held metal detector in the game that you used to find scavenge things like firearms, metal sheets, scrap metal and other metal objects? You know those long, length-wise electric ones with the arm brace and the metal disc at the end? You'd find it in houses and electronics stores. Would it be rare loot? I'm not sure but you could at least find some. When right clicking the metal detector and selecting "use" you'd automatically go into foraging mode only this time you'd be able to detect metal objects better than you would in normal foraging mode. Other objects would still be detectable but metal ones would pop up the best. I was thinking using the metal detector could increase your forage level too. The metal detector could also detect metal stored in containers in addition to metal lying out in the open. You could even use the metal detector as a blunt weapon though I wouldn't recommend it since you'd be damaging equipment against its original purpose. Better to use an actual melee weapon rather than a electronic tool that's meant to be utilized for its original purpose the most. I'm guessing it could weight 2-4 units in the game. A metal detector weighs on average 2-4 pounds in the current day though the 90s shouldn't have much of a difference. Also, metal detectors would beep in the game potentially attracting zombies. In order to stop this you have to get a set of headphones for the metal detector. You know, like you would for the portable cd players in the game. The headphones required would be different ones that the mp3 ones.
  2. If it's okay to ask, (and I apologize if it's not) why exactly is nudity a no on this game? It seems kind of jarring for just everybody to have some form of underwear on. Plus to be honest it'd be pretty funny to go streaking in the mean streets of Kentucky!
  3. The vehicles in the game all have the some looking dashboard HUD so I was thinking different vehicles should have different dashboard HUDs. You know with differently arranged and shaped odometers, fuel gauges, rev counter etc. Makes the game more realistic and authentic.
  4. Yeah I'd like to be able to see up them stairs too instead of having to rely on the online map of the game world. You know remembering which building had which steps so I can orientate my character properly to prepare for a zombie attack. If going into a building to clear it out is always a risk at least allow me to be strategic about it starting with being able to look at them stairs!
  5. Post of a video of you doing it on youtube. Project Zomboid gameplay must be seen and not just heard!
  6. Bruh, I've had dreams about the game and I have thought about zombies in real life.
  7. I thought of all the ways you can kill zombies and I think it boils down to 5 basic choices: 1. Melee weapons (e.g. crowbar, machete) 2. Firearms (e.g. JS2000, M16) 3. Fire (e.g. molotov cocktail, campfire) 4. Car (e.g. Franklin Valuline, Dash Bulldriver) 5. Stomping (e.g. when they get pushed over, when they flop out a window) So I'm wondering what's your favorite way of fighting the undead?
  8. An AK47 isn't an M16 with more damage and recoil. It has heavier bullets (which should affect carry weight in the game), it's less accurate (the m16 would be better distance wise), it's more reliable (should jam less) and tons of other real world characteristics that could be applied to the gameplay. So yes this weapon would be worth adding to the game to add a unique gun that serves a characteristic no other gun serves. Like I said having a semi-automatic shotgun like the Browning Auto 5 would fill the gap for a semi-automatic shotgun which I think the game could really use. Blast multiple zombies down really quick. A PSG 1 sniper rifle would be nice. Shoot zombies from way across the map. A submachine gun like the MP5 could having the firepower of a pistol the the fire rate of an assault rifle. Great for knocking down zombies with weak but numerus bullets. The player could definitely use more sporting rifles in the game. As mentioned the AR15 would be the civilian semi automatic only sporting variant of the M16 which would be far more common. So yeah more guns would always be a plus for more things to shoot zombies with each with their own characteristics to add to the game. Gets kind of boring only having a few guns to shoot with and collect.
  9. I don't have the option for how big to make a cell only how big to make a tile for the "Create New Tile Set" option. Nevermind I'm good.
  10. For some reason when I try to create a new tile set nothing happens.
  11. There needs to at least be one semi-auto shotgun like the browning auto 5. JS2000 is nice but the time you have to pump the gun between shots is the time a zed can bite you. With a semi auto shotgun you can knock down clump after clump of zeds fast though with limited ammo capacity (5 shots!). Also some kind of sniper rifle like the M40 would be good so you can pan far across the screen and hit zombies or hostile NPCs! Yes the zeds could hear the bang and start marching towards you but since you're using a long range weapon you can hit them from afar in the mean time. Whereas with the shotgun the zombies hear you from far away and you can't hit them till they get close.
  12. These links no longer work. Can they be replaced?
  13. Oh heck yeah! I'm all about new guns! Would love to see a semi automatic shotgun like the browning auto 5 or Benneli M4.
  14. The lighters in the game resemble Zippos which are refillable in real life but not in the game. I think in the game there should be a bottle of lighter fluid you can use to refill your lighters. That way you don't have to lug around so many lighters. Basically this would require the lighters don't disappear when they're used up. To refill you could right click the lighter in your inventory and select refill and if you have a bottle of lighter fluid the character would automatically refill the lighter. Right clicking the lighter fluid bottle could also give you a menu for refilling the lighters. Lighter fluid could be found in places such as houses, convenience stores, grocery stores, etc. The player could also dump it around and light it on fire and lure zombies into it. Hopefully you'll also be able to do the same thing with gasoline.
  15. Right now we Project Zomboid players can only spawn in Rosewood, Riverside, West Point and Muldraugh which is just 4 towns. But what if we could also spawn in Fallas Lake, March Ridge, Doe Valley, etc. which could even include the infamous Louisville? I think it'd be nice to have more of a variety on where your survivor could start out. I mean we has players would still have to fight for our lives against the undead and travel far if we wanted to go anywhere else. We'd just start off in more places which we may find even better than the spawn towns for whatever reasons.

How many years later does "Many years later" take place? Also are there challenge maps that take place in the 21st century?
  17. Bruh this is just pure gold! Did you draw that?
  18. Those links don't work anymore. Can you fix them or replace them?
  19. The nailgun could also be used to build wooden plank walls faster than with a hammer.
  20. So basically this would allow you to be like the guy on the Project Zomboid cover.
  21. Some clothing such as Firefighter clothing should be fire resistant in the game. That's what firefighter clothing is built for so if you get touched by a fire that should make it less likely you'll be set ablaze. Now it wouldn't be perfect since simply standing in a fire for awhile would set you ablaze but short term contact should keep you from going up in flames. Similarly welder clothing should be fire resistant. I think clothing should have a fire resistance stat. The fire resistance would pertain to the clothing overall rather than it being divided into pieces since the clothing is made out of the same material on all of them. Continued exposure to fire would damage the clothing make pieces of it useless.
  22. I don't think a bite should be able to make it through all layers of clothing at once. It should have to progressively make it through the clothing each time a successful penetration is done if the same area is bitten multiple times to the point it finally makes it to the skin. Like if you have 2 things with 70% protection the bite should have to penetrate the first thing with the 30% chance before it gets to the other clothing which also has 70% protection and starts working on dealing with the stats of that. Basically a zombie should only be able to bite through one layer of clothing at a time in the same area to start whittling the protection down. So under layers of clothing wouldn't be touchable at all until the directly above layer gets damaged. Like if I got a fire fighter jacket, a zombie bites the chest and it manages to make it through with a hole but I'm wearing a sweater underneath it so while the firefighter jacket is done for in that one area the sweater is okay. Not too bad. Okay a zombie manages to bite the same area and it goes through my sweater but luckily I'm wearing a over shirt underneath it. The sweater is done for in the same area but not the over shirt I'm wearing underneath it. So far still so good. Similar thing happens to my over shirt, but the shirt underneath is okay. Getting a bit more concerned though since my intact clothing is starting to get whittled down. Similar thing happens to the shirt but I'm wearing an intact undershirt, but now I'm really concerned since it's my last layer of clothing in that area. I'm really on edge that I'm one penetration away from a bite but LUCKILY I've happened to get bites on other parts of my partial intact various layers of clothing some bites whittling down my clothing more than others. BUT finally, after all the fighting THE WORSE HAPPENS: Two areas of my clothing are whittled down to the undershirt and I get bit on one of them. Which one? Well it kind of doesn't matter since they're both bites (though some parts can get bitten more than others and you do place different priorities on what to protect) but anyways it's the same chest area. So now I got a zombie bite on my chest and even if amputation could save someone from a bite, you can't amputate a chest only limbs. To wrap this up, your layers of clothing would really matter in this case because if one area of one clothing goes down you still got the other clothing as well as areas of the damaged clothing that didn't get bit. Rather than getting a layer of clothing bit which means all of others could get bit with means you could have a bite even with all the layers.
  23. The AR-15 has been sold in the U.S. to civilians at least since the 1960s so it definitely fits within the timeline. As said, it'd be so nice to get something common that's like the M16 with the only drawback being no select fire/full auto. I'm in Riverside and OH BOY having to drive all the way to Louisville is FAR to get an M16.
  24. One person made a hilarious joke on Youtube that at level 10 Carpentry you build a set of stairs so perfect God weeps and let's you build them all the way to heaven. Sounds like quite a deal.
