I'm in 9.15. And I have played only the Desura realease before that.

There are some areas that are impossible, it's fair enough.
But, at least that's what I do, if you attracts them and then try to lose them. You get a chance to pass around.
Maybe. Also sleeping near to where you want to go it's good. It seems to me that in the morning, maybe for the sound of the NPC (that are not there but these bastard have elicopters, rifles and machineguns!), they move.

Is not easy and is not smooth.

Let's say that you have 2 chance to make it against 10(15)?

I kinda like preparing my safehouse and having to defend it as hordes of zombies attack it. Seemed like all i did was eat, drink, build some stuff and read books in previous builds. To be honest i have a feeling that the ramped up difficulty could only mean that soon we will have NPCs.

REMEMBER: This is a forum test release because it may have new bugs or other serious issues, in fact a few we're aware of already and this latest build hasn't had a huge amount of closed testing. However we'd like to extend it to a forum test to get any remaining issues as quickly as possible.

If not comfortable with that, please wait until official release on Desura, which should hopefully be for Mondoid if it goes well. REMEMBER, it's always advised to manually back up your saves (C:\Users\<username>\Zomboid\<gamemode>) when using forum builds.

    Change list :

       [New Stuff]
Added a little icon over the inventory icon if the concerned item is equipped. Survival guide ! Explanation from Will : It start automatically on a new game, but you can press F1 (default key) to toggle it.
Torch can flicker, especially when they're almost run out of batteries. Crawlers won't turn while attacking + Balanced them a bit. New key bindings : F2 to pause, F3 for normal speed, F4 for Fast Forward x1, F5 for Fast Forward x2, F6 for Fast Forward x3.D Double click in any food in your inventory to eat it (more quick double click action coming ). Double click in any item of the loot inventory to grab it. You now need to equip a bag to put things in it or get weight reduction, on your back or in one of your hand. Destroy furnitures, walls, stairs and almost anything with a Sledgehammer ! (right click then "Destroy"). [bug Fix]
Fixed the zombie kill count. Torch now works properly. Rain now water your plants. Rain collector barrels doesn't share the same amount of water (you can now build multiple rain collector barrels). Fixed crawler attacking through wall. Fixed teleporting crops (again... Now it's all save in java, making the job easier for any modders, and should avoid all this kind of problem). No more "exploding" zombie when entering a new house. Changed the inventory male zombie icon for the correct one. You can't do action while sleeping. [bALANCE]
Balanced the zombie density a bit. Lowered the time needed to water your plant.  [MODDING]
Lua debugger. We're post instructions on modding forum on release. Hold L-SHIFT when loading PZ to go into debug mode. Default key for debuger is F11, it's bindable in the option.
Mac Users need to follow these steps to use the debugger:
Open your PZ.app and look for a file called "Info.plist" then search for this line:
    <string>-noverify -XX:+UseNUMA -XX:+AggressiveOpts -XX:+TieredCompilation -XX:Tier2CompileThreshold=70000 -XX:CompileThreshold=1500 -Xms64m -Xmx512m -XX:+UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -XX:GCTimeRatio=50 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=20</string>add "-Ddebug" to it (of course before the last </string> tag).

I'll do that and use other cloth items, so my sewing kit mod would be useful. I've once dried myself with a bedsheet, didn't work well, but it worked. Will work on it tonight. thank you for the suggestion!!

I would argue that there are very few things essential to human beings. Attitudes, social beliefs and gender roles are all culturally and histotically specific - as well as aggression. Culture is a consensus belief and behaviour system, and is open to modification (and is constantly changing), beliefs around attribution of causes of rape, role and treatment of.victims, level of acceptability are also open to change.

its something that's in almost every house in America so why not this game? i think freezers should be added for long time storage they should have a small inventory space or a low maximum weight that limits what you can store. it should allow a much longer storage time for perishables than a fridge but as i said before, a limited amount of things you can put in or a small weight maximum would limit what you would want to spare ie you would want to put in soup in or watermelon instead of small things like oranges tomatoes ex. Freezers would run out of power the same way refrigerators do but still hold in some extra coldness for a day or so. maybe a downside of using a freezer is that you have to thaw out food before eating the longer the thaw time needed for more nutritious food but you could put it in a oven or microwave to speed up the thawing.

Hey Kinyoshi, I actually did an experiment for you, I took a kitchen towel and dried myself with it (after swimming), got 1/16 of 2l pretty much. (120ml).

Had to do it like 7 times. each time it ranged between 100ml -130ml. (it SUCKS as a way to dry yourself btw, I think I air dried before I was done.)

I think the number of zombies is fine just the way it's. Don't make the game too easy..

Ok, is not easy at all and that's the good thing about it!

    I'm working on the difficulty/crawlers, it's a tough job

Run several games, write almost everything zombie related, and see how we can balance that...

I think the number max of zombie on the map will be lowered, and also the crawler attack which turn really fast.

The survival guide will be there for this build, I'm pretty sure it'll help people a lot, for example, I always have more than 1 weapon on me because of condition, and stab weapon are really good inside house, you can one shoot a zombie if he falls on you...

Guess it is a matter of balance, and yeah did have some funky crawlers too but definitely worth the feature. As for the difficulty of the town, perhaps it will become more bareable when more and more meta-events get introduced. Which to me seems likely.

But you do make a few good points RegularX.

We've got to balance our staunch zombie lore principles with fun gameplay. Zombies doing that is more fun, or rather them not doing that is massively less fun, and it doesn't BREAK the zombie lore so much as bend it slightly, and can be sufficiently explained away. Really people should be more concerned with the zombies pathfinding ability, which is much better than it perhaps should be, for similar gameplay reasons.

I think on the whole we still do zombies more 'properly' than a large percentage of zombie games.

    Lockpicking

A Lockpicking Mod for Project Zomboid which allows you to quickly open locked doors.

Now with Tiny AVC support, so you will never miss an update ever again:

    Breaking Locks
If you want to break door and window locks you need to have a crowbar in your inventory. Right click the door you want to open and it should give you the option to break the lock.
Be careful though, since this is rather noisy and will certainly attract some unwanted guests.
When you break open a door like that, there is a chance that the crowbar will slip and smash against the door, creating an even louder noise in the process. When you try opening a window with the crowbar there is a chance that the window will be smashed.

    Lockpicking
The art of silently opening a lock with a screwdriver and a bobby pin (the latter can be found or crafted from a paper clip). Unlike breaking a lock, using a lockpick is totally silent.
Although it has its dangers too. If you fail to open the lock, it can break, making any further lock picking attempts impossible. Even if you succeed with opening a door you might lose the bobby pin.
As you can see, both methods have their pros and cons and it is up to you to decide which one you prefer.

Touche, I'll give you that. Would be nice if you could just put buckets out also though. That's what I'd probably do in real life. Or put a bag over a bunch of leaves.
