  1. A place with a sign that says "Sex shop" is not obscene nor is it rape or actual sex. Following that logic then why are buildings allowed to have signs that say "Sex shop" in reality instead of hiding away in backstreets? I'd like it as a landmark. Would be cool. I have nothing against any kind of shop you can find in reality. Be it a fishmonger, a modeling agency or a sex shop, makes no difference to me and I don't see how it could havefend. It is not like there will be sex in the windows. The same laws that stop you from displaying obscene things in reality on storefronts would apply to the streets of PZ I'd assume. Loot wise it'd be "Magazines" since they are generic anyway.
  2. I concur with it being things like putting your hands up, that can be applied to NPC's in future as well, and if I restrain you, you should be able to struggle and release your binds given a minute or two. It should just be noticable for the captor. That is all. No control away from you, you can bide your time to escape, you can bolt the moment a gun gets pulled on you, you can run off with your hands tied and cut the rope on a shattered window. You can scream to alert zombies and run for it, giving a distraction. You can present yourself as a non-threat and infiltrate a base. I don't want this to be a mechanic for griefing any more than Kajin does, I however am not blind to the enjoyment you could get from it. And yes I understand that not everyone will be fine with being held captive. That is why you can't be 'led' anywhere that you don't literally control yourself to do. The thing (from my perspective.) is the following: A) Hands up gives you a visual "Don't shoot" signal and disarms you, allowing your inventory to be accessed. (For searching and robbery.) But you can still drop your hands and run for it of try to shank the guy robbing you. B) Being "Restrained." removes the possibility to arm yourself unless you struggle to remove the bounds first, that is noticable by the captor. The captor can then shoot you or try to yell you down from it. But ultimately the choice of how to react lies firmly with you as captive player to cooperate or not. And again, you can run off and sever your bounds in the woods or wherever you managed to escape to. I feel this is not a boring proposition, it allows for more possibilities and roleplay without being able to be actually trapped or locked in a place without escape. Without removing you as player from the equation. If you don't want to be caught, don't put your hands up, run away. Other things that could arise from this is you frantically running away from bandits with zombies on your tail while struggling against your binds. Which would be a pretty cool story if you make it. I just want to make it painfully clear that I am NOT in favour of being cuffed to a radiator and being spoonfed bleach. I am in favour of being able to be restrained (Temporarily) and being searched or robbed.
  3. He means just completing the circuit between a bulb and a battery like little kids do or you do in class when they first force you to write 'electricity' instead of 'elec' like a billion frikken times. (Slips into catatonic school flashback) Also, climbing high fences makes sense to me. I have often wanted to and been asked by friends if they could. Same with "can zomies push down high fences." which I would also assume they could and probably should be able to in some way shape or form.
  4. Yeah fuck a flash game, flash is good for two things, crashing and saving the world. Guess which is which
  5. Yeah falling unconcious (to me) should be reserved for cases of extreme exhaustion. Like the moodlet says.
  6. How to die late game? Emissions from Chernobyl of course!
  7. Well they already mentioned that dogs barking will, so yes I'd say yes. Off-topic:
  8. I don't find such scenarios unfun at all to be honest. I spent six hours being handcuffed to a table in SS13 and it still managed to be gripping due to the players. It *can* be unfun, but so can guns, fire, theft, luring zombies etc. etc. What you essentially said is that you'd troll instead of playing it out. You even pointed out how features in the game can be used to make it unfun for the other player (defeating your own point). So forgive me if I disagree with your point of view. EDIT: And just to make it clear, I believe you should always have the capacity to escape, either by tackling the person and diving through a window or secretly finding a piece of glass to cut binds. I just think that if you are going to limit features due to assholes then there are lots of other things that should be removed or never added either (Like cars driving over people without warning.) People will always be cunts and limiting the potential of a game that is best played in smallish groups due to MMO level trolling is inane.
  9. Could have saved me from so many crotch bites when I stood there typing like a tit. I'd make it sound less like you are a member of the SAS though +1 for the feature though, just having a josh.
  10. Hands up! That's pretty much what I'd like. The ability to rob (NPC's and People) without murder. Combined with the ability to lock doors. People can do the rest. None of this "You have been taken prisoner by loltit55" and then not being able to run away. SS13 had nice captivity mechanics where you could ALWAYS break out given you had enough grit and steely balls.
  11. All we need is the head! We have the technology!
  12. Codeine addiction! It can dampen very many things, including your sarcasmometer.
  13. How is achieving commercial success "selling out"? What is this? The 60's? I am happy for him and wish that someday I can "sell out" similarly and secure my entire family economically for the forseeable future. Also, Microsoft is pretty cool, they make shit cellphone software but overall I still stick with them. I had no qualms with AoE being under MS so why would I about Minecraft? All in all, I think it is an interesting turn of events that may well up the investment into microsoft again and maybe bring back a more game-centric focus. Which could be cool for a huge corporation like that.
  14. Not everything is as it seems dear Sheldon...
  15. I like it alot, would also give you an idea of the shit that went down while you weren't there. Makes me wonder how many things the NPC's will "Remember" y'know?
  16. I am happy that the game is focusing more on gruesome and chilling things. Hopefully that will once and for all put an end to "The Sims" comparisons. Cementing into peoples minds that the game is about corpses that eat living people. Love some horror.
  17. A rural Kentuckian pushing a mindless beast through a fence causes it to react with aggression? The jokes practically write themselves! I'm sorry. I appreciate the heartfelt apology. Thank you
  18. Some kind of membrane is on my mind.

  19. Your pancakes cannot tempt me and your bomb does not scare me.
