its also the 80's in game so google isn't exactly around. it also would take a special job to use. most likely beyond an engineer. possibly an explosives expert or S.W.A.T officer. close...1993 Thermite, C4 and explosives most likely fit into the no OP weapons category on the Suggestions List. though to be honest, i don't really see any need at all for Thermite. i may be wrong of course, but what actual use would we have for something burning around 2,500 degrees?

there is no cure, the Devs have made that clear. you can try to prolong your life by an extra day or two by eating all the food you have, but if your health bar gets stuck at Slight Damage after a bite or scratch....the end is near. many people ask for amputation in here. but it is not a "cure" for zombification. the infected blood has already started its way around the body after just 1 second, and there ain't no way to get it to reverse course. fact is, amputation is a major type of "surgery" involving lots of blood loss, trauma, shock, weakness, infection, possible gangrene and/or necrosis of the surrounding flesh. no one who just had a limb hacked off is going to be worth a bit of good in a zombie apocalypse. however, that being said, in a large RP server it could indeed become an interesting game mechanic to see how everyone else deals with the loss of Player X's lost limb and any possible friction it could cause. especially if Player X was highly skilled at his job and now he is unable to do it, putting pressure on the others to adapt

suspense and jump scares. price it low enough, you'll make a nice amount of money. you need to read the Wiki's to really get an idea of the back story. i never felt like enough of the back story made it into the actual gameplay, and the stupid answering machine messages bugged the hell out of me. apparently, 4 is The Final one.....but we'll see.

It's a suggestion, one that has, is and will been suggested forever until it is added, NPC animals, yeah, like I said, Commonly Suggested Suggestions under section Tentative Yes. Edit: Also, the flaw you pointed out can be applied to any suggestion, because any suggestions hinders 1.0 progress by asking devs to add this and that. boy, ain't that the truth? Stickies? what are they? and all that i have been saying, simply put, is that the current animations would not be good for animals. after we get the NEW animations, i will gladly jump on the bandwagon and ask for them alongside many others. don't get me wrong on this, i am not opposed to animals. just not with the current system.

Svarog, do you honestly believe, even for a second, they would add something like animals with the current animations? even for one tiny second? it would be pointless, redundant work. what is so hard to understand about that? it would be completely illogical from every possible angle to add something that requires a new animation to the current game, and with as much work as they have to do, it would be a MAJOR waste of development time

they have their own schedules, their own plans for what gets worked on "next" quite honestly, i feel animals would be a stupid way to spend the time. we don't even have the needed animations for animals yet. adding them now, prior to the new animations, would just be stupid, pointless work that will be outdated "soon" consider the other stuff that is being worked on in regards to B32 and B33, important things like Steam Workshop, Creative mode, further work on the Broadcasting, Map Expansion, NPC's and other stuff we may not even know about yet. please try to remember, it is The Devs who choose what are the top priorities, not us.

i notice the red names in the "Who's Online " list at the bottom of the front page quite often. but you need to keep in mind the time zone differences, if you don't see them when you normally come on it may be because they are asleep. certain Devs, like RingoD and Turbo just don't post that often anymore. i imagine it is because Lemmy has them chained up in the basement of TIS Towers and only lets them out to email family and assure them they are in fact still alive. um.....i may have said too much. i better go now

don't act like you are talking for the community. you're not. some of us understand the value in letting Lemmy do what needs to be done without constantly asking when they will be coming. they will be ready when they are ready.

#1..sudden emergency amputation in the field is likely to do 3 things, induce sudden traumatic shock to the body, have a high chance of major blood loss, and prevent you from being able to move at all while the horde closes in and you are trying to cope with the first 2 things...and that's without you even attempting to tie off the veins and arteries. i won't even get into the possibilities for infection, gangrene and other lovely consequences. simply put, amputation is NOT a cure for being bitten. #2..a bite from a zombie introduces the saliva, bacteria and whatever other nastiness is inside a living corpses mouth into the bloodstream, just as a "Wet" bite from a venomous snake does. in either case, you cannot physically move fast enough to prevent it from spreading throughout the body once it enters the bloodstream. #3..the cause of the outbreak is and will always be a mystery. we don't know if it is a virus, bacteria, voodoo spell, or any other possible means. because of that, and because the Devs have already made this decision, there will NEVER be a cure

works great as a Mod now, so much easier to explain to people how to install a mod versus how to locate and overwrite the map files. thanks for doing that

The point is that i didn't say anything bad and you replied with "It's not YOUR decision!!" kind of post, and maybe it's a simple truth, but anyway i didn't say anything to get this "lesson". again, simple truth. nothing i wrote was untrue, sarcastic, derogatory or mean spirited. if there is a lesson here to be learned it would be in not stating what is and is not important when it is not up to you to decide what is and is not important. now let me give you some advice.......... drop it and move on.

a little bird who sits outside a Devs window during the day told me there will be no sitting or laying down the bird says they are working on incorporating Zombie Confusion Tactics, such as making our players able to do the Hokey Pokey, the Macarena, the Cabbage Patch, the Worm, some Pop Lock moves and a few Classical dances (Tango, Rumba, Waltz) intended to confuse a horde when it approaches, these new moves will allow you to literally dance your way to safety. of course, as it is a Sparrow telling me this, while i am more fluent in Magpie.....there may be a mistranslation or two. also, as it is an English Sparrow, he has bit of a Cockney accent that i have troubles with.

on one hand, the ability to fly from...fort knox to a rooftop in louisville would be awesome, and a great way to die when the zombies swarm the roof to see what all the noise was. on another hand, i can picture numerous threads asking why they could not fly to the other side of the river, or a different area without zombies....or griping that they ran into the maps borders and could not go past it. i guess that brings up the subject of getting it to work on mod maps too. i dunno, may be more trouble than it is worth, without knowing whether the engine would even tolerate it, or how they would make it look like it is actually above the ground.

seems like i read somewhere that they don't want people messing with the Vanilla map, so the files are not editable

Run a /reloadoptions command using the Admin account. That should help

A HUGE map expansion is being worked on that will include Louisville and Fort Knox......and most likely stuff they have not told us about yet. Patience.
