  1. don't forget the fact that the Louisville Slugger baseball bat is made in Lousiville http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louisville_Slugger_Museum_%26_Factory
  2. water purification on fires, silver BBQ's and on stoves is working just fine, both SP and MP
  3. that's why we have The Governor coming into the game, to be sure it gets too hard to survive. and so much OTHER stuff that the Devs intend to be as deadly as possible, to kill us quickly. talking about surviving for X amount of time in a game that is unfinished, with stuff we may not even be aware of due to show up, is pointless. if the Devs see they have a "problem" with people surviving too long, they will deal with it one way or the other.
  4. the only way we will know when the movable furniture is coming back is when it appears in the list of new stuff for Build X until then, no ETA's will be given by the staff
  5. are any of those native to Kentucky? http://blog.arborday.org/the-fastest-fast-growing-trees/ just not sure how many of those are in Kentucky
  6. certain adjustments have been made to accommodate the game, such as trees growing much faster than they would in real life. if they left it at a more realistic time frame, almost none of us would ever even notice the trees growing in the first place

may i make a request? maybe increase the size of the pond, or add a new body of water somewhere. and maybe add foraging, if you feel like it.
  8. chose a random mini fridge that also had a freezer on top http://www.walmart.com/ip/Igloo-3.2-cu.-ft.-2-Door-Refrigerator-and-Freezer-Stainless-Steel/15162474 Shipping Weight (in pounds): 67.4
  9. lol, but think of all the damage we could do with rounds measuring 223mm and 308mm. although i guess that gun could be kind of hard to carry.
  10. ammunition is a very limited resource, and at this point it does not appear the Vanilla game will have any ammo reloading. but you want to waste it on target practice and possibly draw a horde towards you with the gunfire?
  11. http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/192-commonly-suggested-suggestions-read-before-posting-unofficial/ there will be no cure, and no military aid
  12. just as Enigma said, your death IS the end game. this ain't no immortality simulator, your going to die, and the death will most likely be brutal and gory...or gruesome and painful if you drink bleach or jump off a building. anything besides you dying as the end game would be against everything they've been saying for the past 4 1/2 years of development.
  13. I thought the idea of character creation was to be careful when selecting traits and have a bit of forward thinking as to how you'd like that specialist character to turn out, instead of being a Jack of all trades. exactly right. the new system is set up to prevent people from being stage 7 or higher with every trait, it's meant to make you choose what you deem most important, and be stuck with it throughout the characters life. this idea would ruin the balance they are trying so hard to achieve. i say leave it as it is, we have plenty of other voices saying how ridiculously easy it is to do this, that and the other.
  14. I think you're missing what I'm saying. It's food that's in a character's bag, pack, hands, whatever that rots when they log off. Nothing else about the character changes while logged off, they don't heal, get cold, get hungry, get hot, panic doesn't decrease, etc. yet food they are carrying will go bad as if they were still logged in. Food left in crates rotting? Sure. It's still there in the game world, but food a character is carrying rotting when they are logged out? see, i consider all the stuff in my base as my inventory. same as if i was running a store. just a matter of how you use that word that makes the difference here
  15. that's a cool design. i like how you use crates to make pillars, have not seen that done very often. never thought of it myself
  16. welcome back, glad your feeling better and felt like updating this
  17. if someone else is on the server, time goes by just as if you were there as well. food rotting is as realistic as it gets now if food is rotting when there is no one else on the server, then you need to edit the options file so that Pause=empty is set to True, then no time will pass unless people are online on my Nitrado server, it is the servertest.ini file that needs this edit. after it is done, the admin needs to go into game chat and type /reloadoptions, which should send the new info to everyone's profile when they log in. http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/5813-how-to-administrate-a-server/
  18. looks great. now i just need one more thing from you.... send me a PM here with your name and preferred password EDIT May 26 due to a number of reasons, but the biggest one by far being the lack of work hours leading to lack of money, this server is closing. thanks for any interest you may have had.
  19. i think the drop offs would be covered under the No Military Aid section of our big list of Confirmed Yes and No http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/192-commonly-suggested-suggestions-read-before-posting-unofficial/ as for a character who died, they become zombies
  20. guess the OP is unaware Bleach is also being used to clean up blood now, which is great to finally be able to do.
  21. unless it gives the back story of why the "survivors" got killed, then no thanks. could simply be a case of one guy got ambushed and was able to take out his attackers before they got him. would be unfair to label him as an "unfriendly" when the fact may be that he is just a damn good survivor. best to just leave it as is, and let the discovery happen naturally.
  22. .....when while at work you are bringing up Blindcoders map and looking for a new place to build a base, somewhere you have never tried before and are checking the distance to the warehouse/hardware store/nearest house with propane grill
  23. meh, your thinking too small using a car to go from the mall, to the muldraugh police station, the military base in Bedford, the hospital in New Denver, the hospital on the Rebuild map, stopping by the church and cemetery in west point and back to the shooting range before finally pulling into the mall parking lot again............and that's before we get Fort Knox and Louisville
  24. Hydro, relax. you already added a TON of stuff to the game. no need to drive yourself to the point of exhaustion,V2.1 will be ready when its ready. in the meantime come to the server and just play the game. burning yourself out will only frustrate you further, take time to just play.
