  1. I'm sure this has been suggested before, but I'd love to see this. If experienced shooters die and zombify while gripping a gun, they could hang on to the gun and that muscle memory from a lifetime of shooting should prompt them to try to shoot their target, even as a zombie. Gun zombies: -rare -very poor accuracy -low rate of fire -mostly military and cops -run out of ammo and aren't clever enough to reload -can only pull trigger, can't pump shotguns or rack bolt rifles -keep pulling trigger even after hitting empty -shoot rifles from the hip and pistols one-handed while shambling towards player, all with very poor stance -will bite/scratch if you're close enough -will shoot other zombies if they're in the way -players can turn into these if they have high aim skill and zombify while holding a gun Reasons to add this: -it's fun -adds MUCH needed enemy variety while keeping it grounded, without those crazy mutant zombie ideas -makes guns more useful as you don't need to close the distance to take them out -makes the first aid skill more useful and more level-able as there's more ways to get hurt without infection risk -makes the rare bullet injuries more common, an injury type that currently doesn't exist outside of multiplayer PVP servers -makes the great loot in police stations and army bases better guarded, as these have a higher chance to spawn there -adds more challenge to the game, I'm sure a lot of people here find regular shambling zombies too nonthreatening yet find sprinters too threatening, this is a nice compromise -finally a proper use for my bullet-proof vests -Bub approves
  2. Because it won't automatically resume normal speed until a zombie is RIGHT IN YOUR FACE even if you're directly facing it. I play with sprinters and this thing is a nightmare for me, my #1 cause of death. I can be reading or resting, even indoors, at max speed and a zombie can break a window or a door and zoom towards me in 1 milisecond before normal speed resumes and by then it's already eating me. This needs serious work, fast forward is a core part of the game to skip the heinous waiting time and should not get you killed like this. I suggest a sensitivity setting, the minimum being how it currently is and the maximum making it resume speed when there's a zombie in your field of view, no matter how far.
  3. In the loot rarity section in sandbox settings, I would like to see "none" as an option to make certain kinds of loot not spawn at all. Useful when you want to make a world with zero food so you have to forage, fish and farm everything.
  4. To me, this game has a dilemma - fast shamblers are too easy and sprinters are too hard. Sprinters force the player to walk when they're close, this makes surviving a close encounter with even a tiny group near impossible because they'll run up in your face and you can't run away even if you sprint immediately in the other direction. Going through buildings and tight corners is suicidal when there's sprinters for this reason, and it really worsens the gameplay as it forces you to play in a very camp-y and safe way to be able to survive. I would like to see their slowdown effect grab removed or toggleable as an option.
