    It could be possible that M1A1 is an abbreviation for a branch of the military, not a weapon. Possibly, Military Branch 1, Army Section 1? It could be General McGrew's way of organizing the army to fight the zombies and this is his organizational title.

    I never realized how worked up people get over this... But man, looking over that steam thread, just wow. Been playing since 2013, absolutely tonnes of progress in the past 2 years and it's really accelerated this year. I'd like to see NPCs too but tbh ever after 350+ hours I still haven't done everything I can do in this game nor have I broke a year of in-game survival. Think I bought it for like 4 other people so far too and that was after initially pirating it out of curiosity. I realized after almost 36 hours of sitting at my keyboard that 36 hours had passed and promptly bought it for being such a well made game.
     
    I never even knew that they made this game and it's engine entirely from scratch or that it was only 4 programmers working on the code. Gotta say, it's great to see Mash's hard work on the script finally being implemented and I absolutely can't wait to see Louisville. The animation update is what I'm really looking forward to. I'll never get over that guy running into the wall, it will be the very first thing I do. Great work so far guys, I've lived in Canada for 9 years and I play PZ back home with a friend I went to school with in Ireland. It's a really great game and it's not even 3/4 done!! 
     
    The only complaint I have is that it's made me feel like other survival games don't have enough depth or complexity. At the moment there are only a handful of games that rank with PZ in terms of content, gameplay and depth.

    On a more serious note, the biggest problem with these might be resealing them. If you leave them unsealed, the water will contaminate.

    Hey all, hope you all had a merry Christmas and all that.

    I'm pretty sure I saw something about this relating to gunshots but not with Zombies.
     
    The Zombie Survival Handbook states that animals in general can't stand zombies and that if you're in a woodland and suddenly everything goes quiet, it's probably a hint that a zombie is close.
     
    My suggestion, in addition to having bird/woodland critter sounds stop momentarily after a loud gunshot, is that animal sounds in forests wood cease when a zombie is within a certain radius of the sound's origin.
     
    For Park Ranger players and those out in the woods, this could be quite a handy indicator of when to stop chopping wood/ checking traps and to get yourself ready for combat. It also requires concentration, which prevents it from being too much of a giveaway.

    I dont understand some of these free points comments, namely these ones... High thirst and hearty appetite are extremely debilititating. Slow reader isn't a free pointer either. Time is no longer money in this world, time is now hunger and thirst and the combined cost of reading all the books is at least a few days more worth of food and drink. Probably a week or 2 more realistically. Whereas being a fast reader will net you more supplies by the time you finish with the books. Speeding up time doesn't counteract this. Hemophobic IS free points, but only until npcs are released. Clumsy and conspicous are also incredibly bad for you, I don't understand how anyone would think a wider noise circle and an increased zombie line of sight angle doesn't affect gameplay. At the moment high thirst and hearty appetite mean that you have to eat and drink about 20 to 30 percent more. When you're speaking percentages anything above 25% more or less is a lot. At least in every RPG I've ever played. With a 50% buff or nerf being legendary or unheard of.

    I'm mobile so I don't have my preset around but I typically go for low start pop going insane in 2-3 months.
     
    Recently I've been messing around trying to find a preset where I could play good without respawns, I'll post stuff up if i find any good ones.

    Population Peak X        
    Population Peak Day
     
    I have made it so the population peak day is much later but at the peak it is like maxed out. Likewise the starting population I have set to very low. This simulates for me the initial small population of the small towns and then over time zombies from the neighboring big cities come in and flood the region.
     
    It gives you more time to prepare but sooner or later its going to be hell.

    Maybe have text size directly related to the volume of the tv?? That way you can risk turning it up so you "hear" it better. Also it would make sense if max volume changed everything to all caps

    Survival is meant to be hard, every time someone survives for too long in survival the devs make it harder.

    By the time PZ is 1.0 when you start survival you'll just spawn dead.
