  1. A lot of people think that just because they arent doing anything wrong that the information gained cant be used against you or to harm you :/
  2. On the hunt, from my favorite RTS of all time. Only World in Conflict is as good as Sins of a Solar Empire And some Skyrim, she looks like she's either depressed or is just spacing out HARD on those candles lol
  3. Yeah they're really taking this too far, the thing is the internet is not anonymous. It feels that way but really it isn't. I literally shudder to think of what the Great Googlies could do if they want *All hail Google!* Ahem, if only we weren't so lazy or if we didn't love the convenience then we would stand a chance but with the way things are going it really could be very bad. One of the things that I feel is especially bad is that everyone these days can just sign in to most things using FB. If you start doing this then yeah, the government and whoever wants and can pay money to skilled hackers could literally know almost everything about you. Where you've been, who you've been there with, your favorite online pizza/food/whatever order, what colour underwear you have on, etc. I'm not big on conspiracies, especially bizarre ones, but all this spying really isn't a conspiracy. It's real it's happening and the consequences could be huge and very far reaching. Scary stuff. Another thing to remember is that once something is on the internet it might as well be there forever.

If PZ is going for realism then it's a smart move to make the zombie virus/disease/whatever only attack humans. Something advanced enough to hijack a human brain and change it's behaviour would more than likely be species specific IRL. Most of these things have a very hard time crossing the species barrier BUT when they do... yikes, they're incredibly nasty and this is because they're so new that they basically have their way with an unprepared immune system that can do nothing to stop them.
  5. I don't mean to nay say but unless it's winter, freezing or even cooling bottles of water would still require energy.
  6. I hope we can't! But visual clues would be a nice touch, like turning slightly paler and more "zombie" coloured. But if they do this then I hope they add it for catching a cold too and that would give people a nice way to temporarily put off a mercy killing For a status check I hope they have just simple words like sick, damaged, bleeding, healthy. Rather than bitten, scratched etc, maybe you should be able to see those things before a bandage goes on? But once it's covered up you don't get to see whether it's a scratch or a bite or a gunshot wound a cut or a burn.
  7. I don't care... which one comes first! I'm stoked for both of them tbph and one of them is better than none no matter what!
  8. It's only funny cos it's true!! The idea of Robomat hacking is more terrifying than any horde! The man is a mod wizard lol
  9. Sweet Jesus that's an amazing survival time! I'll be adding this to the leaderboard when I get home from work!! I'm finally a week into the No Hope challenge with one character so looking forward to giving the Rotten Cookie to somwone else when I get home lol biding time for MP?? you should check out my Unstoppable challenge if you're bored enough it should be much harder... I'm at 3 days right now for that one!
  10. Dont forget Eschalon: Book I and II, the MODERN classical isometric style HC RPG!
  11. I was actually thinking it could be a permanent unmovable tab that is just always in the center of your screen with no transparency options... hehe jk part of OP suggestion is that "detailed stats" or simply "stats" would be another tab in the already in-game "J" journal
  12. Rathlord is probably right... I looked into it and supressed weapons are rare even within the military. Soldiers aren't allowed to customize their weapons with anything that will reduce the longevity or effectiveness of their weapon. Underslung nade launchers and different optics are ok but barrel changes and other major stuff is a no-go. Hollywood has deceived us once again! I always assumed that SWAT teams had an abundance of suppressed weapons but it looks like both the military and swat only have them and dispatch them for certain situations and missions. A zombie mission would be a good call for one but meh whatever they're uncommon. A guy i know back in Ireland has a supressed semi-auto .22 rifle with a banana clip, and it took him years to get his highly illegal suppressor, took him a while to get his 20 round clip too gun laws in almost all countries are very strict BUT where there's a will there's a way (mods a.k.a. the zomboid black market)
  13. Actually it could be added realistically as a CERTAIN drop in the game once lousiville is added... I mean a city the size of louisville would have a swat team and swat use all kinds of toys. Of course it could be argued that since you begin the game practically right in the thick of it, such awesome loot would more than likely be gone. If I was a swat team member when the apocalypse began I would be all over that place. Large caliber rifle, some kind of full-auto, scopes, all the ammo I could put in a bag, a pistol, a shotty, body armor, riot shield, flash bangs, smoke grenades, (swat wouldn't have frags hey?), night vision, thermal (for human threats). And I'd Probably steal a police dog while I was at it just for good measure. Oh and an ammo belt too, that would be convenient. Is louisville going to have special loot?
  14. I think any self respecting gun store would have much more ammo than what is at that store, all in all after getting my aim to level 4 and dispatching maybe 1500-2000 zombies with firearms I still have 20 boxes each of pistol and shotgun ammo. The normal loot drops are fine/rare for ammo, but the gun store should have more.
  15. Are different animations for this action planned yet?? Would be cool if the slow shamblers just kind of drunkenly walked into the window and flipped inside Would be terrifying if the fast shamblers crawled through the window like that FREAK in The Ring Also clawing at glass after character detection would be great. Whereas headbanging could be more of a passive thing that they do while exploring/investigating
  16. IF Robomat actually does hack we might as well just call the server/game the Robotrollapocalypse "These are the End-Times... Robomat has joined the server... There was no hope of survival... This is how you quit"
  17. "There is no hope" I'm sure that the devs have big plans for this story. It seems as though it starts in Muldraugh so maybe as a reward for staying alive long enough you will eventually hear little snippets about the outside world and the global downfall of humanity I like the idea of getting random chatter on a ham radio every now and again once they add in generators and radios and stuff. Louisville will be absolutely necessary for a real 1 year+ gameplay experience once they finally add in generators! I've only found 3 cans of gas so far and I can't see that lasting longer than a week IRL, probably more like 3 or 4 days. Louisville is confirmed so we know for sure that it spreads out of Muldraugh, infects West Point, and infects Louisville. If a semi-major city becomes contaminated AND it is covered up (leaving infected people unaware of how dangerous they are) then you just know that this thing will spread.
  18. I like this idea and tbh if I ever learned how to mod this would be the first thing that I'd do Steak is good seasoned and unseasoned! Depends on how you're feeling and what sides you're having. If I have a good steak with just scalloped patatoes or fries I usually have it medium rare (practically raw) with no seasoning, but if I'm making a steak for a steak sandwhich I like to absolutely douse it in montreal steak sauce and put a slice or 2 of cheese on there too. I take it the seasoning will be optional? If it's optional then there's no harm in having it in there to provide an extra -5 or so to unhappiness or boredom.
  19. These are all great ideas especially the wounding, with the move to a true 3d engine I don't see why laser pointing styled aiming would be hard to implement (such ignorance, much wow). I think the laser pointer style might be a little much but the current aiming system does require a little work. I imagine it would be very easy to shoot your friends in online MP while fighting zombies in current versions, even though you aren't pointing anywhere near them. I've often hit zombies who were at least 45 degrees and 3 meters away from where I was pointing/looking.
  20. In my recent Build 23 character I actually picked Lucky for once and I gotta say, that trait is incredibly overpowered. The best loot ALL THE TIME!
  21. It's almost in the exact middle of the town but is also on the very outskirts. Only one eastward house away from the forest whereas on the west side is the rest of town.
  22. Cortman's medical is on the outskirts of Muldraugh, has a lot of good loot right off the bat, has lots of storage options, is almost dead center of town, is close to the railway tracks (making trips to WP easier) and once you have a sheet-rope is pretty defensible. I think it only has 4 or 5 windows on the ground floor. A lot of people don't like it because it's too "popular" and obvious but I love the layout and position of the medical center for Muldraugh games.
  23. A good use for the crowbar. Though a window should weigh a fair amount. Probably like 8 or 10.
  24. Request for new context menu: Shove 9mm rounds in ear. Hilarious lol. shoving cigarettes in your ear would be even funnier and should come with a sprite!!!!!!!!!!!! Cigarettes in ear and tinfoil hat please
