    Hey everyone !

It probably has already been suggested countless times, but just in case, here it is, one more time :

I suppose I'm not the only one playing this game and often switching computers (home, work, friends', GF's, etc...)
It would be really cool to continue our savegame on different machines via steam's cloud.

I know I can copy my savegames on a USB stick and take it back and forth, but that's really a pain in the *ss

Same here, game freezes when I click on "Exit Game". It corrupts the save somehow, dissapearing corpses and items, etc... Pretty much unplayable :'(

Enjoying this mod more and more, great work, makes the nomad way of life much more enjoyable

    Some more suggestions :

-Being able to board cars even without gas ? No moving obviously, but being able to evade rain, honk or sleep inside (might wanna check the "Sleeping Bag mod" for the code)
-Keeping the car immobile not consuming gas ? (Pretend i'm just jumping in to evade rain, not turning the engine on)
-Increase honking's noise range ? (for diversions)
-Increase car visibility / moving noise to zombies (I'm playing with eagle eyes/pinpoint hearing zombies, and I need to be really close to draw their attention, about the same distance as sneaking... obviously a car with a running engine should make at least as much noise as a running character, and be seen from further)

Could be even better with darker rainy days, brighter sunny days, and moon cycles (darker and brighter nights).

Also, rain duration seems weird, I've yet to see a 2-3 days-long draught, lile it happens sometimes in winter IRL...

EvaN reacted to dangalong in Sweater Strings Mod
I made this mod because I wanted there to be a more sustainable way to get string material (twine and thread) for use in trapping, fishing, and clothing mods. And it made sense to me that in real life, if you had to, you could pull apart the sweaters you find/loot from closets and corpses to get loose yarn strings that could be made into twine and thread usable for crafting items needing cloth string material, or even suturing wounds needing stitches in a pinch.

This is my first PZ mod and I kept it very simple. I made it for myself, but I also wanted to share it if I got it working right. It tests fine in build 33.2. Of course, it is not very complicated. It doesn't overwrite anything vanilla, including the option to rip sheets of sweaters. It just adds the 1 new item (Loose Yarn) in the game and 3 new recipes (Pull Apart Sweater, Make Twine from Yarn, and Make Thread from Yarn). Sorry for the crappy-looking icon for the Loose Yarn, but I wanted it to have it's own icon and I'm not that good at art.

The recipes to make twine and thread from yarn don't give back whole rolls, only partial rolls, and you can only get the yarn from sweaters, not any other cloth items. It also takes a little extra time to craft the twine and thread from the yarn compared to most other simple recipes in the base game, because I think it would be kind of tedious in real life to get good results out of it.

Update: I decided to add the ability to also convert thread into twine, and vice versa, with only a small yield of return, since it seemed to make sense if they can both come from the same base item. Download links below have been updated with the new version file.

    Hello everyone,
Just wanted to report a bug : I found a nice sheltered house and a generator, so I wanted to move some more fridges inside to freeze lots of food. So I went to some other houses to pickup fridges and install them back at my place. Problem : They no longer have a freezer compartment, just the regular fridge. Also when I went back to the place I took the fridge from, there was now an invisible freezer, alone without its fridge

Nothing else to report yet, except that I love this game more and more after each patch. Keep up the amazing work guys !

Some ideas about corpses everywhere around town left to rot in the sun (or in the rain )

    Blood sprites

Outdoors, pavement (or any other "solid" surface)
Should be washed away completely after a few rainy episodes

Outdoors/Indoors, vegetation/sand (or any other "porous" surface)
Should be absorbed and dissapear completely after a few hours/day, no rain or cleaning required

    Indoors, any solid surface
Fine as it is (Want them gone ? Grab your favorite towel, bleach and get those elbows working)

    Corpses

Decomposition should occur naturally, should be a slow process (4-6 months ? maybe more ?), speed altered by corpse location (indoors => slower)

    Stench

Putrefacting corpses smell bad. Never smelled a dead human body, but still animal corpses smell pretty bad.
Strench should start after a few hours/day, and its radius growing around the corpse for a few weeks/months. Multiple corpses (overlapping "stench circles") should add up and make the character more and more nauseous. This would force players to burn/move corpses around their safehouses so they don't get nauseated/sick/sad/anxious/whatever.

A couple of months ago, a group of me and some buddies were setting up shop in Muldraugh for a long haul stay, at the farmhouse close to town with all the corn and dead zombles and stuff. We were all pretty inexperienced, and that means bad stuff tends to happen.

Our resident doctor was downstairs joyfully cooking bacon in the oven, because at that point the power was still flowing. I was upstairs, oogling my stash of useless jewellery and lipstick. I'd opened a window, because there was no longer a zombie threat, and I realised there was some roof outside. In my past experiences, in the real world, a roof is generally solid, so I stepped out to try and get a good view of the world from on top.

Having fallen through the roof into the bathroom full of medical supplies, I gashed my leg, probably on the toilet or something, I heard they're vicious. My doctor friend came rushing to my cries of pain, and spent a little while stitching me up and listening to my explanation of the dangerous attack on my person. I left the room first whilst he put stuff away in the cupboards, and the house was on fire. He rescued me instead of looking after his bacon.

He ran about trying to save weapons and such, I grabbed all the medical supplies I could carry, and then he decided it would be a good idea to run and shut the oven off. He caught fire, and died in agony just outside of the house. I watched it burn, until it rained and the fire went out. Everything was gone, except for a bunch of painkillers and alcohol.

Taking a look around to try and salvage what I could before the others of our group came back to the server, it turned out that a fair amount of the upper storey had burnt away, leaving no walls to protect us. I went to see if the window that had caused the catastrophe had received justice, and fell through the gaping hole where it used to be, breaking my leg whilst doing so.

Our friends arrived, one of them hunted down the reincarnation of the resident doctor, and then they all progressively fell out of windows or gaps in the floor, until most of us were horrifically injured. Then they decided to move shop to West Point.

tl;dr Our house burnt down due to windows, I had to hike to West Point alone with insane zombies and a broken leg, armed only with an axe and a buttload of drugs.

I remember one time, a few builds ago, I spawned in the trailer park, which is, for me, one of the worst possible spawn locations, so I grabbed what I could (a fork and a plastic bag) and went outside to search for a safehouse. Zombies around pretty much every house around, and it started raining. I couldn't enter houses discreetly (no time to force open a window without being seen, and breaking the glass would attract them). So I went further, still looking for a house that I could enter quietly. After a while in the rain, my character got sick and started coughing, then sneezing, attracting more and more zombies everytime. I couldn't lose them, I tried packing them, luring them in a corner of the neighborhood then running to the other side, but there were always a few of them there. After many ingame hours of running like a retard, I was starving, dehydrated, exhauster, tired, drenched and sick, and behind me, a gigantic horde of zombies (no exaggeration, there were like 200-300 of them, maybe more. Zoomed out, the horde filled like 1/2 to 2/3 of the screen). At this point my character was in too bad shape to lose them, so eventually they caught up with me and teared me apart in the biggest gangbang i've ever seen.

EvaN reacted to Lucius_5 in More injured ways and treatments maybly?
Hay dudes I'm Lucius, thought of some suggestions these days n managed to show 'em by painting, come take a look.  First let's look at this picture:     I found that the total town area( light green part ) of PZ game-playing map is less than 15% ( much less perhaps? ), But total area of forest n field ( red part ) reaches 85% already. ( Sorry I never play any mod map before, but expect them. )      You might go food-searching in the forest or do fishing by lakes when you're in lack of food for a long gameplaying time, or get a migration between towns if u don't stay at the same living base for long.     Whatever, for different seasons, weather n areas, u could get unavoidable damage, such as insect bites n snake bites that never added to PZ in the past, so I suggest that add more injured ways and treatments.

    ·Harm From Insects

    Mosquito Bites

I'm not living in Kentucky, so I don't know ecological environment n weather of it well.    As we all know, mosquito live near by somewhere wet n warm, especially close to the water, undisputablely.Lots of forest promote a huge transpiration that leads to rain and wet air, then tons of mosquitoes breed.     You might not go into forest or field, but mosquitoes can be everywhere, so u may get bitten by them more or less.

    Compound menthol ointment

So.. you need some pruritus relief.  (Hay I swear that is not Mentholatum!  )

    Insect Repellent

Or a little bottle of insect repellent?
Poisonous Insect Bites       With more pruritus than mosquito bites,u might get poisoning in any levels, then we need more treatment, poison suction, wound disinfection, bandaging and take a alexipharmic pill.    Alexipharmic of insect poison   ·Harm From Snakes Snakes live everywhere rght?  Innocua Bites      Not easy to fatal, just need a disinfevction and a bandage.  Poisonous Snake Bites      Can be deadly anytime, need to stop vonem from spreading ( Medical rubber tube is the best choice.) and do a suction at once, then take antiophidica, n serum-injection if necessary.  Medical rubber tube Antiophidica Injector The snake serum Injector with snake serum    (No doubt that injector will be added right?  )   ·Excessive Bleeding      I though u might stop bleeding but lost too much blood, then get anemia, so my point is that it can't be easy-recovered only by eating n rest much right?     Well... we need a blood injection. Bloodbag  (could be different types, A B O AB huh-un...  )  Infusion tube       And different blood-type choice could be a good addition.        Well I did this extra 'cause I'm a blunt-player, u know so.   Linctus       ·More?      Yah yah there are more nice suggestions from me but... I'm just too lazy to give more ya know.      Umm... I know these make game more diffcult, but that's all I wanna suggest and we like challenges right?     And how do you guys think?

I've implemented this, it may be in the next release.   I assigned the Spacebar (or Left Trigger with the controller) to shove/stomp the nearest zombie regardless of what weapon is equipped.  This is good when using knives, IIRC you couldn't shove when using a knife.
