  1. Any word on Desura build yet? Would love to play a bit of PZ over Xmas..
  2. Fort locations i've found most useful are; North - By the Large Warehouse - http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.5403227511297894,0.18722879028689646,100.20147462277099 East - Outskirts of town - http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.5591767568201398,0.20080954280383792,120.24176954732518 Centre - Pretty much dead center of Muldragh - http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.5030347850503929,0.20910570388905822,173.14814814814824
  3. Am I correct in assuming that includes Desura? If so, how can I force the client to update - as it still just has a status of "Ready"..
  4. Yep - hundreds of books in there..
  5. Yes, although i've only ever found 1 Z lurking within my walls, that was something that occurred to me also - and so with my new save i've gone a lot smaller and am in the process of re-enforcing my perimeter with additional layers of fencing - just beyond the existing boundary - see below; Yep, playing Survival mode.. just took about 3-4 runs to the Warehouse / Logging Camp to get enough nails, plenty of trees around the safehouse to chop down for the wood, and i'm now an expert at speed-building - grabbing 4 logs at a time (speeding up time whilst I pick them up) and then queuing the sawing of the logs (i've found that although there is no "saw all logs" option, u can right-click on the stack of logs in your inventory whilst your sawing your first one, and then simply repeat the process quickly 4 times (right-click > saw log) - and it doesn't cancel your current action. Once i've got that going - i speed up time again, meaning i can do 4 fence panels from start to finish - in about 45sec total. It also helps to have your supply of nails in a big pile somewhere close - so you're not having to make trips to collect more every time you run out (which is quite frequently, as i've found i can only carry around 50 nails when lugging 4 logs (or 12 planks) around Yeh me too man am really looking forward to when we're able to build multiple floors! Interesting you mention boxes of nails, i'd heard that they had introduced them in this patch - however i've been through every single crate in the main Warehouse and all of the Logging Camp buildings - and i've not once seen a single box of nails (always just stacks of 5, 10 and sometimes 15)
  6. Thanks man. I'm up to Ep23 atm, just gonna watch the rest of it before bed (5:30am here in the UK )
  7. Hi guys, I've been playing (and loving) PZ for a few months now and have about 3 different saves running (at 3 months, 2 months and about 1.2 months respectively) gradually learning from my mistakes and picking up tips from the forums and some youtube playthroughs i like watching (yo Mathas ) With the current build there doesn't seem to be the concentrated hordes that i encountered with the previous build, and as such (at least so far) my 3 forts have had little thrown at them other than the odd wandering z.. I was wondering if the game will purposely start sending z's my way after a certain period of time's elapsed? Or will they only come when meta events happen to direct them my way? Anyway, thought i'd post a few screenshots of my second save where i've selected a safehouse which sits roughly in the center of Muldraugh - a few blocks down from the Adult Education Center. I've tried to make sure to minimise LOS to all of my external doors (both of which have airlocks), with an inner courtyard sitting inside an outer compound area at both the front and rear of the safehouse. I've also built airlocks on both front and back ground floor entrances and have two outside-perimeter sheet ropes on either side of the house and one inside-perimeter (all with LOS blocking) for easy access and quick escape-routes. I've got hundreds of berry's but as i hear they're going to be nerfed in the next patch, i've made a start on farming (i've got a line of 6 rain barrels against one of the fences which u can't see in the screenshots) I've stripped the main warehouse and logging camp of all their useful supplies (managed to get through about 500 nails in the construction of my perimeter fencing ) and have a health supply of firearms, ammo, axes, bats, crowbars and golfclubs - with the crowbar being my weapon of choice due to it's insanely high durability. Also got plenty of non-perishable food. My other two saves have similar two-story safehouses (one right by the warehouse in the north, the other out to the north east - right on the edge of town) both fortified in much the same way (although on my latest, i've changed tact slightly and made the total area i fence in much smaller, and building an enclosed, second perimeter fence right up against the first one - not only to save on time / materials, but also because i don't really see the need for the amount of space the fort above gives me) Anyway, I hope someone can shed some light on my earlier question about wandering hordes coming to test my fort If not, i'm looking forward to the next patch where i hear the concentrated hordes are making a return Interested to hear from others who have built the same sort of thing, so any comments on improvements i can make to the design or layout of the fort would be most welcome Peace.
