ever heard of a Joke? it's the End.....Apocalypse....judgement day...there's no room for your funny stuff
  2. *scribble scribble* adding medical lab to the blueprint of my safehouse *scribble scribble*
  3. Welcome to the Forum There already is a big thread about traits and professions. Maybe you take a look in there and give these 2 cents to the right place. Please also read the Commonly suggested suggestions thread on top of the suggestion forum. it helps keeping the forum organized
  4. i think the "not seen if not moving at certain distance" should only apply if your are on a proper tile (grass tiles). i think everyone can tell that this fluffy bush doesn't belong on the middle of a street. I'm not sure why a ghillie suit should make you slower or if it would really weight that much. it's basically cloth with some grass. even if you apply some sticks the overall weight of the whole suit is something around...a blanket. Maybe heat could be an issue (OP talks about home made ghillie suit made out of sheets)
  5. even though i agree with you that it has been mentioned and discussed every now and then, This is pretty much one of the most fleshed out "soundwaves/echos/ping" suggestions. he's got my vote =)
  6. i like the idea of self made medication
  7. count me as third, so you don't fell so lonely in here ;D i would like to zoom out a little more too. your examples of "your attention while zooming" were pretty good

yea..and like kajin said, vehicles are confirmed and (i also think) we should wait for the outcomes to properly discuss this topic and make proper suggestions.....
  9. Im actually not even questioning that there will be Raiders and Bandits and whatsoever. Even though it's a sad Statement for humanity that many will meet their death thinking they are the alpha Wolfs and "the fittest" because they killed people for shit. (The ones that have the Best and most realistic Chance to survive, are actually those you never see). The Problem is the same as the reason why 'so many' want to be the 'bandits' 'raiders' or whatever...it's a game. So even though in a realistic scenario raiders and bandits would be pretty much extinct After around half a year to 2 years...in a game, they respawn. Knowing where exactly survivors are, what they have and how many they are.
  10. That's exactly what i try to say the whole time. Wearing this stuff isn't even really encumbering or hot. Im talking out of Personal experience. As long as it's below 30°C it's comfortable to wear and i can walk around in it the whole day. Im talking about modern Motorcycle gear (overall)....and i wouldn't wear a full helmet because of Vision but other than that. I would trust my Motorcycleoverall my life....Because i already doBut i wouldn't wear it to actively fight the armies of the undead. I would wear it to protect me from surprising zombies and the enviroment. Just look few Pages back and you'l find my whole Setup and the reasoning.
  11. It's a good idea. Though i would agree to the others that it should be hidden skill. Now that i think of it i ask myself if it wouldn't fit better as a Part of the mental stability system. Since i guess it will be Made out if more than just a 'sane -> insane bar'.
  12. I agree to the suggestion. Would add a nice Level of realism.
  13. This would be a way but would't it be nice if you could Set up how you character behaves as an NPC while you are offline? So it could be possible to make ihm be have similar to you...would make it more consequent. On the other hand i would hate to see my character dead every time i log in again
  14. The main reason why i'm against it isn't especially because "other games have it" but because what people will do. Even though PZ is abstract with it's graphics and so on, most will forget that there is another human beeing at the other end. So while humiliating a PC you actually humiliate another human beeing...and are amused of it. So to me it is more for the love of keeping humanity and psychological integrity to be against it
  15. The protected area should be the players own sanity. Or a white listed server with normal people. (Mostly i'd prefer those who bought and loved the game before MP...and those i've discussed or read of here). If you establish "safe havens" (hello nether) it takes away immersion, feeling and soul of PZ. Plus all you would get is, the normal people hiding there, never leaving because outside of it there are only trigger happy psychos left. The protected area should be the players own sanity. 16. I fully agree. Even though the point has been made that this community is different, keep in mind that PZ is now on Steam and has multiplayer...guess what Kind of people are going to be on the Servers soon. All they See is "survival....multiplayer...pvp"
  17. Welcome to the forum. the question was not for you. It was a General rethoric question in hope to animate you all to read the stickies and use the search function before spamming the forum with "littleponylover's ideas and how he sees the world" threads. If this question was directed to someone particular, it still isn't you but the OP Have a nice stay
  18. Even though a funny Argument i still don't know the "why" of "drinking you own pee". First you do when you establish you safehouse is COLLECT AND STORE WATER. Before this supply is empty you could easily have built 100 rainbarrels. If at this point, your only way of staying hydrated is "drinking you own pee", you deserve to die. That's called natural selection then.
  19. First of all welcome (and probably goodbye) to the forum. As far as i can tell from what i've read, nobody has been rude to you in any form, to actually confirm you in your overreaction. What everyone is trying to say is 'read the stickies before you post' (wich you did, fine) and do a quick search. Cause believe it or not, this forum exsists for a while and there are many suggestions. So for the love of Organisation it would be nice to write your point of view into a matching thread. Otherwise this forum will be flooded with 'sugarmuffin's point of view to the game and it's improvement' threads. Or 200 'we need cars' threads, making it pretty cumbersome and inefficient for us all and the devs to follow good ideas or point of views. Tl;dr Bumping an old thread with a New idea is better than making 5 New threads with old ideas. In Addition i would like to say Grow up and try to "think" what and why people are pointing out to you instead of overreacting like a little Kid. (That may be considerable as rude towards you, but i don't care)
  20. Does anyone of the New members even bother to read the sticky threads or use the search function?
  21. In my understanding, it's the point of PZ to be hard. I wouldn't mind it if it would get harder with a feature making it more realistic at the same time. There are already enough dumbed down games out there.
  22. Sounds good except for climbing zombies. The slipping on roof would be something i'd like to see too. But i was also in favour for the clumsy survivor thread and since there were some not liking the idea i don't know what others might think of it. But if suddently everyone agrees i think the clumsy survivor thread should get a revival out of fairness
  23. We pretty much all are aware of the fact that this is no RPG. The whole "full plate armor" thing only Shows that there is much overreaction when it comes to armor. Considering the "metal armor" i guess i can Talk for all when i say, no one is talking of a full plate knight armor. What we are talking about is 2 mm sheetmetal or Aluminium bent around your forearms and shins. Cause especially because this is a survival game, every rational thinking beeing would try to get protection against the infection. Even though avoidance is the Best protection doesn't mean, one wouldn't want proper protection. So armor is pretty obvious topic. The urge for even the least amount of protection brought up ductapearmor and Magazine around arms. Because it's more protecting than a T-shirt.To get back to the sheet metal/Aluminium. Like said we don't Talk about knight armor. Just metal bent around the lower limbs. I'm working with metal all Day so this would be a really obvious thing to me (i even could make those 'armor' without hurtig myself). But it's just sheetmetal. You can bend it with your bare hands. It's no wonderarmor and we don't Talk about blacksmithing. A common human has a Biting force of 800 N/cm2. A zombie not caring for a hurtig jaw may even have 1000 N/cm2. The teeth won't penetrate the metal (that's the point of the metalsheet) but it would bend and you still would get really Bad injuries (broken bones, torn skin) but you won't get infected and you could have a Chance for the teeth to just slide a long the metal if the zombie doesn't get a full bite. This leads to the next downside. Applying or removing armor takes time and you need to remove it to treat your wound underneath (Imagine a ducttaped arm under that condition....nasty) The noise is not a matter if you don't wear a full plate...Because it's just strapped to your limbs. Heat would be, another reason to just use it on the limbs (i wouldn't make holes for heat transition, it makes the metal weaker). But still with wearing it at the limbs you'll get a heat malus.
