  1. i don't know the core of survival...the "deal with what you've got" part get's obsolete with this =(
  2. it should be in tight relation to the mental health system...so it wouldn't really affect "sane" people and therefore wouldn't seem to be overused. would fit to the "paranoid" perk someone mentioned in another post
  3. i'm all against the "character auto suicide" thing. i agree that depression should have negative effects and all...but automatic suicide...no i also like the idea of NPCs reacting to your depression, and effects on relations. but maybe (if you really want to die of depression) it would be a better idea, to make your character getting less appetite the more he gets depressed (the "i need something to eat"message taking longer to appear even though your character "should be hungry). if you eat anyways your character might feel sick...those could go to severe depression where the hunger doesn't appear anymore or really really late....you would starve slowly or make him halucinate that bleach is soda
  4. isn't there a "no zombie" sandbox setting already? i'm pretty sure there is
  5. as far as i recall psychological and physiological factors are planned for corpses once they get removable and once mental health are implemented body burning is planned aswell if i recall it right...but at least "removal"...burning was suggested and i think planned aswell (not 100% sure about the planned part)
  6. hmmm...and how does the generator get ventilated? i mean...im guessing we're talking about a gasoline generator here right? so you wan't to put a gasoline generator into your soundproofed bedroom and hope to survive the night?
  7. Wasn't something similar already suggested like...3 times? EDIT: After searching for "score"...wich took me about...10 seconds here and here
  8. I don't even know why everytime you hear zombie, another one answers "flamethrower". A flamethrower may have it's place somewhere in conventional warfare because they cause fear to the enemy (aren't they forbidden?). But a zombie doesn't feel fear, nor does a flamethrower stop him. The only thing you get of a result is: instead of 50 zombies trying to eat you, you get 50 walking campfires....trying to eat you. Now maybe you want to say "but what about PvP?"...flamethrowers have a shitty range (30 to 50m ?). Now the opponent has a rifle, shotgun, pistol and you are just s walking firecracker.
  9. You are right with the Pan since it has a much bigger Hit surface. (As explained above). The knockback of the Hammer may be to high but on the other hand it could be far more effective. I'm pretty sure you'd destroy pretty much every skull with one good and hard Swing of a regular 500g Hammer....in reality
  10. I don't know, would feel wrong if everyone would just get one. Than you are at the same point as now and the purpose is gone. I agree that everyone should be able to find a toolbelt. But just in case everyone agrees to you. "FIRST FOR BATMAN'S TOOLBELT" o/
  11. + a bottle of booze and anti-depressants....he's been unemployed pretty long you know...;D Crying Because I'm Laughing So Hard Noo...nooo...don't cry, it's over soon, i promise....shhhh *grabbing the pillow*...
  12. But Hammers and frying pans aren't 2-handed weapons. A Hammer is in fact a pretty lethal one handed weapon. And as far as i know, those 2 plus the knifes are pretty much the only one handed melee weapons. Everything else has to be equipped 2 handed to be efficient. Add nails to your Baseball bat and it is definitly more powerfull. But as said. A regular hammer is a pretty lethal 1 hand blunt weapon.

  14. Not with the map editor. It'd be nice to be able to move a character between, for example - West Point and Muldraugh. Or move from West Point to a user created map. I was thinking more along the lines of mod potential, truthfully. There are many things on their list that I plan to work on myself if they won't. Maybe a lineages NPC mod when all the NPC stuff gets worked out. Also, I think they also said there'd be no military in that same post you linked. But still, mod potential. The Endgame tends to be a sticking point in games like this and I hope there continues to be challenges no matter how stable you think you've finally built up. Zombies always, NPCs to juggle, Bandits to fight off - and maybe eventually Military or Ex-Military Raiders. Always a bigger, badder fish. You do know that you can walk from muldraugh to West point? For what you mentioned for the end game. The Meta game and the sadistic AI director are supposed to keep this Level of interest you mentioned...except for military i think. Of course, everything you think needs overhaulin probably is something where mods come in.
  15. I just mentioned it, that a quick search would have been a good idea. Additionally i would like to direct you to the [read before posting] threads so you know why i do so
  16. But they would have the durability of a Butterknife.
  17. the one thing i'm really missing, is that my character doesn't wear a Backpack when he wears a backpack

    Crows

-snip- -snip- There's 4 post between his thread and mine. I didn't see his thread. I got a good idea in my head and wanted to suggest it before I forgot about it. His thread isn't exactly the same. His talks about birds, rats, and seeing them do stuff or whatever. Mine was specifically about crows and environmental sounds. Look, I know you and sfy see this sub-forum as a sacred place not worthy for someone such as I but try and calm yourself. This sub-forum isn't exactly bustling with threads and post. If you don't like me or my post, or how I post then just kindly ignore it. I'm just trying to contribute to the forum and the devs to help give them ideas and improve the game for the better. i'm really doing hard to believe that everyone has such a short attention span to be unable to keep a thought in his head for longer than 5 minutes, cause that's always the main reasoning behind double and tripleposting. i know that your's was specific about crows while his was about birds in general. But i won't go and make a new thread about wheelbarrows "because the other thread is about transport in general but i wanted to talk about wheelbarrows in particular" There is no intention regarding personal like or dislike of you or anyone else. i have nothing against you personal or your ideas. how am i even supposed to? i don't even now you. and i'm way to reasonable to be that shallow to judge you by 30 posts of you that i read (or some more ;D). Also im fully independent of sfy. it's just trying to still keep things organized and keeping the rules (OBEY!!!! ^^). I know you try to contribute and help the devs (how else would you explain 110 posts in under 2 weeks?). what i and the 3 pinned threads of wich 2 say [read before posting)] try to tell you is, that by spreading one topic across 20 threads, you do the exact opposite of "helping the Devs". Because now there is one poor guy who has to search the whole forum to get an overview of one perticular topic (in this case wildlife and animals), wich is pretty time consuming. Therefore it is reasonable to try and keep the suggestion forum as organized as possible. and just in case you still doubt my intention i can assure you, most of your ideas make sense, are good ans some i even like.

    Crows

I didn't see that thread. Anyways, he gave his version of the idea and I gave mine. Two different viewpoints. But the damn topic is the same and that's the point. right now the front page looks like this Crows (here's you) Birds, rats.... Huntable wildlife and animals even if a zombie gnawed off half of the brain it wouldn't be hard to see that those three are one and the same and all ideas would fit into one topic (that already exsists too...if you did a little search) instead of throwing in 10 new ones. if you've read the the 3 pinned threads (of wich two say [READ BEFORE POSTING]) you'd know that the point isn't to smash in 10 new threads with another viewpoint on one topic but to try and keep the topics together so that there is just one topic with multiple viewpoints to get an overall image of oppinions on THIS PARTICULAR TOPIC and not having to search 39 pages to get together all viewpoints of wich probably the half has already been said before.

    Crows

would have been nice to at least add it in here since it's already on the same page and doesn't even require a least amount of search........sometimes i think no one cares to have a page full of same ideas....organisation seems to be a dead branch -.-
  21. do we really need 4 threads about wildlife, animals and hunting at the same time? may i remind everyone to remeber the rules please? no offense just reminding to keep things organized. if i search for hunting i get 67 results, i guess there would have been a topic to put this one in.
  22. i think this is a confirmed no too as far as i know P.s. Welcome to the forum new survivors. and i would also like to remind you to read the Stickie threads first and do a quick search on yout topic to kkep the forum organized.
  23. even if the spit itself wouldn't be contagious, you would still reanimate a future zombie...who would probably eat off your face instantly while you CPR him. you should be able to examine the victim before. =)
  24. I never said that this is Max Brook's Zombie survival game. Like said i only referred to the survival guide because it's pretty much the only "scientific and documentary" source about Romero like zombies. I wasn't saying anything against Animals either, just saying that they (according to the ZSG) would avoid Zombies. Why? Because Zombies eat the living (in the ZSG...every living beeing). I'm only talking of eating and killing not about infecting animals (since that is a confirmed no anyways). Even if "zombies killing animals" would be a confirmed no too, pretty much in any lore, movie, book or whatever, animals react agressive or fearfull to zombies...maybe because of the "aura of death", or because animals sense desease or just because they hate dead raising magic. So not just because the ZSG says so, but because it sounds legit too, i think it would feel more realistic to see animals avoiding zombies (and with avoiding i don't mean, beeing nonexistent) than to see them grassing right next to them. so that if you want to hunt, you'd have to travel deep in the woods were zombie density is really low.
