  1. What if there was a mod for it? Would the devs try and shut it down? I don't think so... Why should they? I only flew over the mod guidelines once. But as long as your mod dosn't damage the game, the User or the Reputation of TIS or PZ, there is hardly any reason i guess. So as long as your mod doesn't contain racism, child molesting or things like that, you could mod it i think. And i don't think you can apply any of this to a 'i need the bathroom' mod. Except you Plan to implement the Option to molest Black children with your poo of course
  2. Vanilla zombie lore makes no sense at all. The lore goes against rigor mortis. Why are the dead reanimated? Why would the dead need to eat? The last time I checked zombies don't poop. Since they don't poop the flesh would just pile up in their body. Why don't zombies eat other zombies? Why does it need a fresh corpse? Why aren't zombies alerted by other zombies? Why can zombies make a bunch of moans, groans, pounding, etc. but a human's footsteps are filtered through all the noise. Why do bites and scratches cause you to become a zombie? Is it virus or something? Why do zombies only truly die from getting their brain destroyed? The brain is already dead and so is the rest of the body. Why are zombies immune to rotting away to nothingness? Vanilla zombie lore is boring and doesn't make sense. Infections are much more interesting like the cordyceps fungus in The Last of Us. The infected actually made sense and were the most realistic I've seen. You actually felt bad for them. They were deranged infected humans whose minds were being controls by a fungus inside their head. The infected were so well done that you could just look at their behavior and see a human in pain and suffering on inside. With the lore that PZ follows it's just boring. Doesn't evoke any emotion at all. You're just killing zombie blah blah blahs. But it's stated clear that PZ follows the romero lore. Just saying "it's dumb i want the last of us lore" because it's a more recent game is not going to do anything about it i guess. If you want to know more about these Kind of zombies, I would recommend the zombie survival guide. It's very much based on romero (not fully though) and one of the little selection of scientific approaches to the topic. In Addition the brain is pretty much the only thing "alive" in a zombie, that's why destroying it is the only way
  3. But there's this other suggestion of an "survivalist skill" wich was received pretty good afaik. This skill would play into this pretty well i think. So there woulnd't have to be a New "loot skill" created. http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/6671-new-skill-survivor/
  4. http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/6294-raincoats-for-the-rain Maybe have a look here for some oppinions
  5. Well actually this rule already applies to PZ cause for some reason zombies love to Hang out in bathrooms. ^^ But as already said this is on the confirmed no list and i think this would go a little to far. Though the thought of having an unbeatable urge to pee while hiding from a big horde would be some kind of funny. But this would be to much Sims for me.
  6. Jesus... Don't be such an asshole. Did you read them... Last time I checked he had them all. He didn't break the title things because it has multible suggestions of different categories. Plus WTF is "STICKIE" Is it somewhat realistic? Does it fit with the spirit of PZ? Would it make the game too easy? Would it require rewriting the entire game (like changing the camera view, for instance) Would it add enough to the gameplay that it would be worth taking the time to add? Would it be found in Muldraugh, Kentucky common enough to be added? For zombies: Does it fit at least somewhat into Romero/Brooks zombie lore (the basis for 'proper' zombies)? i'm not, but im willing to tell you when i start to be one... i'm just pointing out that said rules are there for a reason, not because they are carved in stone but because they make sense....as soon as you are able to recognize common logic... OP just named the thread the worst way and then splattered out 38 points of wich half are already discussed and suggested. And of course you are completly right, fuck me for not beeing a native english speaking person, and sometimes mixing up the words. BIG FUCKING TENNIS! Warned. I just told you two posts up to not continue, and you did. This isn't a joke- you're harassing a guy who didn't even break any rules. Next time it's a ban.

  8. i think it was mentioned somerwhere that zombies should be able to knock down player made walls. if not already, then in future builds i guess
  9. though you are advanced member, im not sure, if you've really read and understood the stickie threads...especially the "how to write a good suggestion" thread...
  10. this would probably be the best solution for mouse and controller.

  12. Why do you put me on your ignore list then reply to my threads? because he can:P BTT: i wouldn't like magically disappearing bodys eaither. Would break the feel. but as sfy said and as i said in another thread covering almost the same topic, removal of bodies is coming (burning bodies aswell afaik)
  13. Right. And just out of experience, as soon as there's an RPG out there with an open concept and just a remote approach of survival (you against the harsh enviroment). There are always mods like frostfall and realistic needs and diseases for skyrim or the counter parts for Fallout that make survival, weather and the characters reaction to all these more realistic. So i won't go to far to say, there is a need for realism in open RPGs. Cause put aside the Tons of graphic mods and the most downloaded mods are always the same kind. Survival, weather and realism/immersion. So why not give it to the players as Vanilla if everyone want's this Level of complexity?
  14. Excellent *doing-the-Mr.-Burns-Fingerpyramid*
  15. i don't think there is much overdoing. just think of Skyrim or Fallout NV. There are mods simulating nutrition and healing effects, muscle growth, diseases, needs and what not else. for each game you have to get 2 mods to have all these effects...so i don't know why it should be a sort of overdoing to implement things like this in the first place. because these mods are mostly under the most endorsed and downloaded mods. and if we are here to see the realistic zombie survival rpg happen, why not put things like this in it from the start. as far as i concern, i would even say, that one medical overhaul wouldn't be enough. there are most likely more overhauls to come. just look at the "cooking overhaul" though better it is still pretty rough. Edit: and it's not like we are busting TIS' doors in screaming "give us the god damn final version" most of us are pretty patient and eager to help improve the game, so i don't think time is a real factor here as long as PZ avoids making the Duke Nukem
  16. +1 from me too. damn it's always the simple things that are good suggestions...
  17. That's what i meant with "unlikely scenario" ;D
  18. Helicopter gunship.....No As for the offscreen bombing. Not fully sure about it. Would make sense in one way. On the other hand maybe the government just goes with an quarantine tactic.(abandon, secure surrounding and forget). Depends on the devs idea of muldraugh and it's Situation and how big the meta game will be.
  19. Oh, such sweet irony. You do realize that you're the one claiming it's easier to deflect blunt trauma. You have no room to lecture others on being stubborn when you spout such ludicrous, albeit hilarious, claims for the sake of "winning" the discussion. Has nothing to do with "winning" the discussion. Its just amazing when people try to state that I don't know what I'm talking about when they don't. It's also funny how he is continuously trying to say things like "your just a troll" or "internet teenager who doens't know anything" when i have shown him continuous facts and VIDEO PROOF. I just showed a video of a katana cutting through a crystal replica of a skull that had 99% of the same density and hardness. And it's amazing obviously that you didn't read or watch anything I posted either besides the first sentence. If you did watch the 2nd video you would know that yes it's much easier to deflect blunt force trauma than a slice. There is a reason why when you box they tell you when you get hit to move with the blow. When someone slices you, your body cannot move because it's slicing through it's not pushing. Blunt force is a force and it directs itself through your entire body, so yea it's much easier to deflect blunt force than than a good cut. first of all i think you should stop to mess things up just to feel entitled to be pissen. he didn't call you an internet teenager, he called the guy from the "ballistic crytsal" video a internet teenager. And as also has already been stated by Enigma it seems that ballistic crystal is bollocks. Secondly, just because it is on youtube, doesn't mean it is a proof. thirdly (and this is the point where it get's funny again): you start to compare boxing as blunt force with slicing of a katana. It's like saying "my car is bulletproof, because my airrifle can't penetrate it!"
  20. Dafuq did i just read?!? O.o I would really like to see your attemt to deflect a hammerstrike with your head xD
  21. Of course there were bone saws. Only a moron would try to cut bone with a kitchenknife ^^
  22. Missing point number one (in this entertaining argument): amputations are most likely held at the joints (elbow, shoulder, knee, wrist) because cutting there is a little easier. (Of course nowadays you can cut right through a shin but i'm pretty sure around 1700 they preferred joints because it was easier.) Though an amputation at that time was a pretty risky task where you were pretty likely to die. Missing point number two: stating that an average Person is unable to shatter a skull except with a sledgehammer makes you Sound pretty ignorant or like the Rathlord said, trolling. An ordinary Hammer (500g Hammer) is a pretty devastating weapon if applied to the head with a nice swing. If you can't believe, head to home depot, call ambulance first and knock yourself a good one. ;D
  23. There's already a mondoid covering this. The dev's are aware that there has to be some kind of sleep and Rest function. Don't take the multiplayer as final. It's been worked on. Welcome to the forum
  24. This is a more unlikely scenario
