  1. Hello, New to the game and all, however I felt that I'd throw in my hat into the mix, just in case if someone gets some sort of inspiration from it. So, here's the idea: Sanity. As a negative trait(because if this was for everyone, it'd be quite the nuisance), the idea is that you're a "mentally questionable" individual, who has a very impressionable mind. With a literal apocalypse occurring, it is detrimental that you not only keep yourself alive, but keep your head intact, as well. The concept would be drawing inspiration from how sanity works in some other games, such as "Don't Starve", or "The Forest". The player is obviously much more impacted by unhappiness, boredom, and panic, which all play a part in determining the "Sanity" of the player. "Sanity" by itself could be its own system that relies and uses all of the previous mentioned to calculate itself, with its own moodles and effects(or by worsening already-existing effects). If you cannot keep all in check, the status progresses into a state of disarray, with negative effects such as possibly hearing things that aren't there, a much more severe state of panic, and possibly seeing things that don't exist. An extreme could potentially be inflicting accidental damage to yourself, while hitting objects or shooting weapons, or maybe even running/sprinting. The intention is to add on another challenge to the game, that could immerse the player in a much more drastic manner. Especially considering how much a zombie-apocalypse would affect someone mentally in a realistic scenario, I see this concept quite viable, and just another layer to make the game that much more unique. I won't indulge into going too specific into how I think this mechanic should go, as I want to leave it up to interpretation. Feedback is very much appreciated!
