  1. I have created a video which explains how to setup, run, and mod a project zomboid server. I go into, regular mods as well as how to use custom maps. Its a long video, but contains everything you need to know for Zomboid builds at 34.28 +. I will eventually redo the entire video with better organization as i'm sort of a neat freak, lol. Hope this helps.
  2. I have finally figured it out.. It was an interesting experience as I copied everything from the template.. I managed to fix this by using the "modtemplate" and directly inserted my files... This is what the file structure should look like. nameofyourmod > contents, preview.png, workshop.txt contents > mods > nameofyourmod > media, mod.info, yourmodposter.png media > lu, ui I have just uploaded it to the workshop so here is the link http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=788905261 here is a link to my google drive https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4F2G0d3O96VcjVlM3ZuNWZlYm8/view?usp=sharing you may use this as a template to understand how the files need to be organized.   5. I am having issues with publishing my mods on the workshop. While at the main menu I select Workshop then Create and Update items. From here I am having issues with the directory structure. I try to emulate the mod template, but it will not work. I keep getting "there are unrecognized folders in your contents/folder...." I'm not sure how to setup my directory since i need a lua and ui folder. I have checked the wiki and done some googling, but can't seem to find any answers. My mods work perfectly while manually adding them, but not with the workshop any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?   6. Hello, I've been playing Zomboid for a looong time now and always wanted to use my server as an RP server. I know how to set everything up and am looking for players and admins (with exp.) to play on my server. Server Specs: windows server 2012 8 core 3.16 Intel Xeon X5460 (2 processors) 32 ram 2tb sas wd black drive dedicated internet connect for the server 60/6 connection Admin requirements: OS: Win 7 Pro, Win 7 Ultimate, Win 7 enterprise, Win 8, Win 8.1 must have previous server admin exp. The server I plan to host will be whitelisted, modded, and RP based. I am going to need a few admins to help with administration, and building a custom map with the new CM feature coming with build 33 (when it's out). In the meantime I want to get a server up and running within a few days from now (or today) Send me a PM or replay here if your interested.

  9. There was something I missed! The admin tools mod now works!! Thanks! I did not login as "admin" I logged in with a Capital "A" for admin... that is why I've been having problems.. Also, my game crashed when I hit the preset teleportation button. using Build 28.
  10. Not sure about others, but I am an admin on my server and I am getting kicked for not having the same files as my server. I am using the latest build (28) with admin tools, is there something I'm missing?
  11. Thanks! I'm trying to keep up with the upcoming build from zomboid. Looks like build 27 broke the icons, I'll fix that as soon as I get some time. I am very interested in making something like that. Before I add more I am going to need to fix the icons.
  12. This Guy^ ++ lol. but yea, good idea, but please no propane, that crap won't work. I'm sure someone with the ability can have a gas can explode flames in a X radius after being shot, that shouldn't be too hard.

  15. I am still of unsure how to get everything to work perfectly with the new images, however this mod still works with build 27. I have reverted the mod to version 0.9.0 to give back an image for an item, so your not stuck with the "?' picture.

  17. I saw the topic about missing icons, and have checked this solution, but does not seem to work. I made 3 backpacks, all with different icons. I have tried this tutorial (http://pz-mods.net/guide/adding-custom-item-sprites/) but cant seem to find out why it does not work. Here is my structure military bags>media>scripts>MBAG.txt (using pastebin) http://pastebin.com/aiN85Zeb I have my textures in this folder military bags>media>textures as item_bugoutbag.png item_daypack.png item_rucksack.png Lastly I am using a lua script to load the textures. military bags>media>lua>server>mbag.lua mbag/lua http://pastebin.com/NvKUzmDt using all of this I cannot get the textures to load in.. Any ideas why?   20. Here is a tutorial I have used to help me make my first (two) mods http://pz-mods.net/guide/the-basics-of-adding-items-and-recipes/ it works for build 26. Just follow it step by step.

  22. *Confirmed to work for Build 27 7/18/2014* This is my first mod, and am proud to release it. This mod adds 3 new backpacks into the game. Day Pack Weight Reduction: 83 Capacity: 27 Bugout Bag Weight Reduction: 85 Capacity: 30 Rucksack Weight Reduction: 90 Capacity: 35 I've designed this mod to be as lightweight as possible so, for now, I have used the default pictures (Schoolbag and Dufflebag). Each bag should spawn in areas you would normally find bags, but at a rarer rate. I keep my work open, so you have permission to edit as you please, just please give proper credit where it is due. This mod adds 2 weapons into the game. S&W M&P 9mm and Mossberg 500 I've designed this mod to be as lightweight as possible so, for now, until I get more comfortable with modding, I have used the default pictures (pistol and shotgun). This also helps minimize bugs. I have tweeked the specifications for each weapon so you should notice a difference when using them. They will also spawn in areas that a pistol or shotgun would normally spawn. I keep my work open, so you do have permission to edit as you please, just please give proper credit where it is due.   25. Hello, I have done some searching and have not found any solutions to my question. IF there is one out there I am sorry for the repeative question. I am trying to make a map using this awesome guide: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/69737873/PZ/Sonstiges/mapping/Mapping%20Guide_v0.2.pdf When making a veg map, after finishing my first one in paint.net I get different results than what is shown in the guide. It's hard to understand this guide since it is very vague at times. Here is my result: http://i.imgur.com/egYRIQf.png?2 why is that? Note: I use paint.net to make maps, I am just using photoshop as a preview. The example was generated with mapzoid
