  1. As I said I have problem when I change the direction of the fence, to make a corner fence, there's a gap between the 2 pieces. In order to solve that I place the pillar in the empty spot, but when I rotate the pillar either it disappears or changes position. If that's your problem: no need for a screenshot. Otherwise yes, I'd like to see that, please The pillar seems to have only 1 appearance/orientation and the same goes for the corner fence piece in fencing_01, so I don't know how to use them. Your call.If you think a more detailed answer could help you as well... Otherwise I can open another thread, no problem. The problems are quite similar, so I fear a new thread could receive a reply like "already solved there" (here) and that's what I was trying to avoid posting here instead.
  2. Thanks for your reply Joelmosen. I didn't want to create another thread so similar to this one, but there's chance I won't get a reply from mods here because of the "answered" tag. By the way, how did you solve the problem? I mean, when I rotate the building the pillar just moves or disappears...
  3. the 'r' button? to rotate? Does it work for you? 'r' does nothing here and , just to be clear, everything else seems to work... I'm currently trying to create my first building. To rotate I use Building->rotate left (or right) and the white fence pillar just seems to have 1 appearance here, so when I rotate to see how the building looks from another point of view, the pillar disappears. I also tried : Building -> tiles-> add tiles, but the only difference is pillar behaves as the layer value I select, but no matter what I select , when I rotate it changes position (some minor differences, but still unusable). Also, when I rotate wall decorations that are not visible just detach from the wall, then they go back to right position when I rotate again and they become visible. In this case I have no idea if it's normal behaviour in the editor, maybe it that disappears in game, I don't know.

If ok for suomiboi, just 2 lines considering you took the time to reply to me, then we could continue this conversation somewhere else. Well, I am not sure what happens if you just add another piece of map to the original one (without modding) and that's was I am trying to figure out. I am already aware it won't be possible to add a spawn point in the additional map without adding code somewhere and also a zombiespawnmap is needed, for the rest...I have no idea at the moment.

  6. I have a couple of, probably stupid, questions. So, let's say you create a new map, where do you save it? maps/media as the other? Are you sure it'll work? If that's a new map, that means you have to create a zombiespawn image too, or not? Looking at the bmp looks like a heat map where white = many zombies , grey=some, black= nothing. I also assume it works with zombie distribution -> urban only, while with the other option, uniform, game takes care of that. New map means new spawn points? I see there's the spawnpoint.lua and worldobjects.lua there...I understand what's in the files, but I am not sure what I have to do with that. So I think that if you decide to add a new map instead of muldraugh and westpoint, of even if you add another section to the original map, you have to modify/add something to make it work (spawn points for example), I may be be wrong. Also I haven't read the mod section yet...
  7. I can't really call it a problem, just something I noticed and I don't remember reading it in the forum (sorry if someone already wrote about this). Last item I built before digging was a crate above other 2 crates inside a house. A couple of in-game days later, I took the trowel to dig, I selected DIG, but first thing I saw was the crate image again, just like when you press build and select an item, (but you can't actually build anything). Pressing R solved the "problem" (it's possible to dig when it went back to position "number 1"). When I pressed R again, obviously the crate was there again. Not sure, maybe because the crate was my last built item or not, maybe it's just a default element when you press R with the trowel in that particular situation. Anyway, after noticing that I closed the game and restarted to check again and found out the problem "disappeared". Looks like it happens when you build something before digging, but I'm not sure if it happens only with crates or not. It's not a problem and game doesn't crash or anything like that.
  8. RJ , about the small rain collectors again... No crash this time, but I can't build another small rain collector there (attached image). Actually not only there... There are free spots where I can and some others where I can't, while, for example, I can build a crate everywhere. If you need other pics or save, please let me know.
  9. I try to explain a little better , sorry It's the save I sent you (small rain collector), at this point electricity is off. I remember when it was on some food in fridges was not fresh (talking about west point). I can't say all "items" started fresh, because I started in muldraugh so it took some time to get there. All I know is I could turn on an oven, so to me electricity was on, but almost every item inside fridges wasn't fresh except: carrots, oranges, some apples, some cheese... Also, if I recall correctly (but got to check it again) some food kept the blue background color after electricity went off. It's not fresh, I am talking about the background color.
  10. Talking about food, I have a question. In my last game, when in West Point, with electricity on (well, I checked the ovens, as long as I can read 'turn on' it's on for me, but maybe it doesn't work that way), a lot of food in fridges lost fresh status anyway, is that normal? Also if I recall correctly in some buildings food kept the blue background color after the electricity went off, but maybe you already know that.

  12. Great! This is actually the first time game crashes while I'm trying to build something. Other crashes were just for the going upstairs problem you seem to know very well about (where character seems to "float" for a second, then the game crashes). Actually, that happened to me only 3-4 times. No big deal. Talking about the pre-launcher version (haven't checked with new version)I had a weird problem I can't really find where to post, it's something about "items in some part of map back to a previous position when resume game", that occured more than once. I mean, I have a problem I can't access a second floor and if I understood correctly I should post it here: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/3659-map-specific-problems/ As I said I am not sure where to post this other "problem" or if it's actually something new for you or worth a bug report.   15. I put the sandbox save in a zip file (approx. 13mb ), let me know if you need it. I think it would take like 10 seconds... The character is already there with planks, hammer and nails, you (or who wants to test it) just have to try building the small rain collector.
  16. Do you get an error log / message in the java console or the local game content? No java console error message. Do you mean the steamapps/common/projectzomboid/error.log? In that case no message. When I try to build the collector the game just hangs (windows busy cursor) for a few seconds and then it crashes.
  17. Game crashes when I try to build a small rain collector. I tried 5-6 times in different locations , progress bar goes up until , let's say, 99% then the game stops working. Just to be clear, I had this problem before the launcher update as well. Also, I am not sure if it's normal behaviour or not, but the when I try to build the small rain collector next to a wall facing 'East' (?) , like in the attached image, I have to press 'R' to make it possible. When I try to build the collector next to a wall facing other directions (N,W,S) it seems to work fine (that means no 'R' needed).
