    The idea
     
    To slowly have the map detoriate over time, nature grows wild and the urban areas slowly decay.
     
    What will the mod do?
     
    Currently the planning is for Erosion to add the following effects to the game:
     
    Plantlife:Nature will slowly start to take over, popping up on natural tiles. Currently plants have 6 stages (low grass to tree), only the most fertile spots will reach the maximum. Random special objects with a very low chance of spawning (imagine a dead campfire and the likes). Streets:Big cracks in the road that gradually become more intense. Patches of cracked road where grass and stuff grows through. More litter and garbage appearing over time. Random special objects with a very low chance of spawning (a pile of zombie corpses for example). Houses (exterior):Cracks that can appear on over time. Vines that slowly takover a part of a wall. Windows have a chance to be broken over time (idea by RobertJohnson) Doors have a tiny chance to pop open at some point. Random stuff like smudges and what not.

    Thought id leave a small post since ive not updated much lately. Firstly to answer these questions:
     
    Something like that oughta be possible, the system as is could have support for interior erosion with the addition of 2 lines of code or so. In future im planning to enable that feature and maybe add a few basic litering, spider rags etc.
     
    The grass cutter will be added as many people have asked for it to keep their gardens clean, frikken hippies! The tree issue is correct, in the public version all erosion stuff isnt clickable, got that fixed on my local version so next update the problem will be gone.
     
    Secondly, concerning the next update, on my local version most bugs of the current build have been fixed (theres still a nasty one not yet resolved, that firks up the sprites uppon loading a game) In the meantime, the MP had been released as well, which is pretty kick ass i might add. Now i wanna see if i can make the next version of erosion also compatible with MP. However since the whole mp stuff is currently under development, ima wait a bit till its in a more mature state.
    Also got some plans to rework some stuff in erosion that im not to happy about, so ill retreat to the shades for a little while and work on that.

    Do you get bug where the screen is all black but the UI is visible when playing in normal (not compatibility) mode?
     
    If so, please unzip the attached files and put them in ProjectZomboid\zombie\core and let me know if anything changes.

    The setmonth, yea it will reset, i think even when you load the same map gonna fix/remove them at some point since theyre just test stuff for me.
     
    Thanks for pointing the trees out i know what causes that so ill make sure to fix it for next update.
     
    Yea, it may run a map without the mod loaded, but i strongly recommend not doing this, its at your own risk
     A map linked to the mod should always be ran with the mod active.
     
    Hmm thats rather difficult, atleast with the noise system its using right now. Imagine the seeds being blown away by wind.
    Im going to fix the trees so they are cuttable, and perhaps a sickle for next update so yall can keep nature from overtaking your safehouses
     
    Thanks, and to comment on your problem. It snows from 20 dec to 10 jan (from memory, hope its right ) if it doesnt display snow, i recommend trying it with the public beta branch (you can select that on steam in the properties of the game) Dr. Cox had problems with snow displaying that were fixed by doing so.
     
     
    Also, Ive got a little distracted by some sideprojects and rl paintjob. Hope to finish the update later this week.

    Greetings ladies and gentlemen!
    My name is sir.twiggy and I am a twitch TV streamer / youtuber. I write here today in the hopes of attracting the interest of the mapping community at large! I plan on hosting a humongious project zomboid multiplayer server with world wrap. I'm attempting to gather talented people from the mapping community and integrate their work into this project. In the end the map will consist of several contenents, islands, many different terrain types, cities, towns, villages, rivers, lakes, mountains, and more spread across the entire map. The aspect of world wrap is of great importance to the project so that there will never be a map edge, just a mountain, ocean, or some other obsticle preventing easy access, but can still be overcome.
    At the moment I am doing massive amounts of planning and approaching specific individuals in an attempt to integrate already existing community created content into the project.
    However, if anybody has specific suggestions, requests, or would like to volunteer their help; please reply in this thread, pm me, or send me an email @ sir.twiggy.white@gmail.com.
    I am very easy to get along with and I'm eager for submissions! If you want to make a specific area, city, forest, desert, or whatever, go for it! I will personally look at all submissions and we can all work as a group to create the ULTIMATE project zomboid multiplayer map!
    In the end I hope to host the server for massive amounts of players. I would love to reach the point where we have dozens of separate player factions spread all across a massive and dynamic world map.
    I know this is ambitious but with help from the community I truly believe we can have a one of a kind player experience!
    Thank you for taking the time to read about my idea and I truly hope some of you dandy people will be interested or excited about the project!
