My friend is playing on his own built computer with relatively new parts with windows 10 pro and I checked the OS X and its a 10.12

So me and my friend are trying out multiplayer for the first time and he (The Host) made the server with 2.5GB, also with no mods of ram to the server he has 16Gb of ram total and decent internet . He invited me and I create my character and pick my traits and press start. Then it takes me to the screen where it says "These are the end times" and it loads the world just fine then it says "press start" which I do then it crashes back to desktop. We try trouble shooting we try to run compatibility mode then going back to the normal launch still no fix. I try to host a server 2.5 GB of ram I only have 8 go to server setting and crashes to desktop so I think it might be a specs problem I'm playing this on a MacBook Air which has a Intel i3 10th gen cpu and 8 GB of ram like I said earlier I've been playing on the current build on solo with no problems. Can someone help or is this a known bug or is it a spec problem like I thought?

Well I ran the bat file even though I don't have any antivirus installed besides the normal windows antivirus and now I have a black screen with commands but still no actual game menu ,but its still progress. Was there something in that comment that was going to help that I may have overlooked.

The title is the problem I feel like ive done everything im looking for some help. I don't have any mods and im trying to play on build 41. I only just bought the game and I don't play on PC that much ,but this game made me dust the PC off.
